2026 Draft Board: Top 300

The 2026 MLB Draft class is shaping up to be one of the better in recent memory and, potentially, the best class in the last decade. It’s led by UCLA superstar shortstop Roch Cholowsky, a true five-tool prospect who’s the early favorite for 1:1. One of the most popular pieces of industry feedback when constructing this list was some variation of “Roch is too low” or “go up on Roch” and he’s the best college prospect since 2019 when Adley Rutschman (Oregon State, Orioles) was the consensus No. 1 prospect. Similarly to 2019, there’s a superstar Texas prep shortstop at No. 2, in 2019 it was Bobby Witt Jr. (Colleyville Heritage, Royals) and this year it’s Grady Emerson. Both Emerson and Alabama’s Justin Lebron would have been solid 1:1 candidates in years where Roch Cholowsky is not eligible and both have All-Star potential. Following the top three is the consensus top arm in the draft: UC Santa Barbara’s Jackson Flora. He’s been outstanding to start and has shown consistency as well as excellent pitch data to solidify that top pitcher status. Florida prep shortstop Jacob Lombard is a toolsed-up shortstop who is among the best power hitters on the prep side. Georgia Tech teammates Drew Burress and Vahn Lackey follow and Lackey is among the biggest risers in this iteration of the board, with some industry sources having Lackey above Burress on their respective pref lists. Rounding out the top ten are two of the safest college bats in the class in Virginia’s AJ Gracia and Mississippi State’s Ace Reese while Mississippi prep outfielder Eric Booth Jr. is among the biggest risers in the first round, solidifying himself as prep bat 3 in the early going.

College arms have already begun rising and they will likely continue to do so. Currently there are five college arms in the top 30 but history suggests that number will more than that come draft day and the depth of college arms in general is exciting. A theme that came up when constructing the board is just how much Day 1 (rounds 1-3) there is perceived to be. The amount of college arms among that group is particularly high as and the college bats at the top of this draft are thought of as highly as the 2023 Draft. Left-handed pitching dominates the pitching side of the prep class as Gio Rojas (No. 12, Fla.), Carson Bolemon (14, S.C.), and Logan Schmidt (22, Calif.) highlight the southpaws in the top 30. Reclassification has also been a major theme in this draft as four high school prospects on the board have reclassed from last fall to this spring: Will Brick (23, Tenn.), Jared Grindlinger (42, Calif.), Kaiden McCarthy (91, Vt.), Rocco Maniscalco (101, Ala.); Logan Schmidt also reclassified but did so prior to the summer circuit. Lots of factors surround these decisions but the structure of future drafts given the MLB’s CBA status is certainly one of them.

As always, this current Draft Board is a mix of a number of factors: evaluations of our own scouts with our own eyes, industry feedback and evaluations, advanced stats and under-the-hood metrics, and where we forecast some of these players ending up years down the line as pros. We are also very early in this process, most conferences are either one or two weeks into conference play while on the high school side Midwest and Northeast schools haven’t even gotten started with their seasons yet. Lots will change as the season progresses but Perfect Game’s coverage will not, we have you covered with live looks via our High School Notebooks and College Player Reports to go along with a ton of High School and College related content throughout the spring. Here are the Top 300 prospects for the 2026 MLB Draft below, enjoy!

2026 MLB Draft Reports: 100-299 | 200-299 | 300-399 | 400-500 1. Roch Cholowsky, SS, UCLA R-R, 6-2/202, Chandler, AZ Previously Drafted: Never Drafted   Roch Cholowsky has consistently ranked at the top of the class throughout the cycle due to the safety and upside of the profile. Defensively, he is a plus defender at shortstop with soft hands, consistent actions, and quality range. Not only should he stick at the position long term, he should excel there at the next level. Offensively, there is a strong mix of hit and power potential from the right side of the plate. The swing is a bit unorthodox with a shorter finish, but Cholowsky consistently finds the barrel and drives the ball with authority to all fields. He has strong bat to ball skills with impact. He has walked more than stuck out during his collegiate career, giving him a high on-base ability. The run tool is the...

More than 30 teams from the 14U-18U age divisions will head to Fort Myers, Florida this Fourth of July weekend for the seventh annual Perfect Game Freedom Classic. The tournament, running July 3-6, features several nationally ranked prospects from across the country as teams look to compete for a championship. Headlining the field are twin brothers Derek and Ryan Yormark of Merrick, New York. Right-handed pitcher Derek Yormack is the No. 51-ranked player in the class of 2027, the No. 1 player in New York and the No. 5-ranked right-handed pitcher in the country. First baseman Ryan Yormark comes in just behind his twin brother as the No. 3 overall player in New York, the No. 5 first baseman in the nation and the No. 90-ranked player nationally. Both brothers are committed to Vanderbilt. Derek Yormark has established himself as one of the top two-way prospects in the 2027 class. He has run...

Asher Contreras (2030 | Las Vegas, NV) The 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter and outfielder was one of the most dangerous hitters in the tournament for Wow Factor Nv 2030, stuffing the stat sheet while displaying an impressive combination of power and speed. He finished the weekend with 9 hits, including two doubles and a home run, while driving in seven runs and scoring five more. He also swiped three bases and worked three walks, consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses while showing feel for the zone with just one strikeout all weekend. His ability to hit for extra bases while also creating offense on the bases made him one of the most impactful offensive performers at the event.    Braylen Silva (‘30 | NV) RBI 2B for GBG Vegas 14u Red. Championship teams often reveal themselves when the game isn’t going their way. Performance Baseball 2028/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team did exactly that. Trailing Florida Burn 2028 Scout through four innings, the Brewers refused to panic. Instead, they relied on timely hitting, consistent pitching, and an unselfish approach at the plate, rallying a five-run fifth inning before pulling away for a 9-5 victory to clinch their spot in the semifinals. The comeback was fueled by contributions throughout the lineup. Six different players drove in runs, including two RBIs each from Aiden Capobianco and Cameron Massey, while Matthew Heredia, Parker Weston, Ethan Smith, and Aj Bonnette each added an RBI of their own. On the mound, Derek Wenzel set the tone with 3.2 solid innings before Ethan Smith shut the door in relief, helping preserve the comeback victory. Although the Brewers have had a...

'27 SS Moises Gudino (FL) continues to stay red hot, working a long AB & cracking an oppo 2B on the 8th pitch.
