Carson Tinney is a 2023 C/RHP/3B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Castle Pines, CO who attends Valor Christian HS. Recorded a 7.08 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with broad shoulders and plenty of strength. Primary catcher with good footwork and a clean release. Good bounce from the lower half with a cannon arm up to 87 mph from the position. Really athletic defender overall and turned in a best pop time of 1.80 seconds. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and strength in his wrists. Quick swing with good bat speed and strength. Power in the swing that can be unlocked with a couple of adjustments. Great student. Verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
