Braxton Beaty is a 2026 LHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Angleton, TX who attends Angleton. A compact build in a taller frame, with athleticism throughout. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. A primary left-handed pitcher who had squared shoulders on the mound working from the first-base side. He had a small leg lift with a good angled release from a clean lower three-quarters arm slot. Compact and shorter through the back. Quick arm working downhill. The fastball was up to 86 mph and held the 83-85 mph range. The pitch had heavy run. He also paired it with a slider and curveball that both had late depth. Each pitch had a good bite, with some variation. The curveball had a late 1-7 shape to it. The slider had some more slurvy action. The changeup offers a good arm-side fade in the mid-70s, killing spin down well. He mixes pitches well and changes tempo. He pieced together a good outing, throwing 3.0 innings and punching out 5 opposing hitters. A left-handed hitter with a narrow start, slightly open feet, separating well, and whipping the hands through the zone. He had a solid left-handed stroke with good function and efficiency. He turns well through it and was able to drive it deep, leaving the yard for a home run. He pulled hard around it with good strength. Took a solid round of BP, leaving the yard and driving the ball hard in the air. Produced an 88 mph exit velocity. Also worked out as an outfielder with good arm speed, working through throws at 85 mph. He had athletic footwork with good actions working to it. Loose and easy arm stroke, showing good strength. Great student. LSU commit. Named to 2023 HS All-State TP List.
