Hunter Dietz is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-6 230 lb. frame from Trinity, FL who attends Calvary Christian. Big and strong well proportioned build, looks the part of the prospect pitcher. Very easy and low effort delivery, deep and long arm action in back coming to a high 3/4's arm slot out front, the entire operation is smooth and well controlled. Showed a dominant fastball that worked up to 94 mph, threw it exactly where he wanted it, gets good angle to left handed hitters and creates an uncomfortable at-bat, still some projection here considering the ease of operation. Threw a short cutter like slider as his breaking ball, can further develop this pitch and add more depth and feel. Flashed a firm change up as well. Was throwing in the mid-80's a year ago and has made huge strides in all areas. Good student, verbal commitment to South Florida. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
