Sam Harris is a 2023 1B/OF with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Urbandale. Recorded a 6.84 second sixty yard dash time. Extra large frame with tons of length. Primary first baseman, with soft hands and can pick the short hop with a strong arm. Athletic with quick feet, good funnel, good accuracy to the bases. Secondary outfielder, fields off the front foot with a short arm action and quick release and easy arm strength. Good accuracy with low one hop throws. Moves well for the size, shows the ability to get the ball in the gap. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide stance with even hands and back elbow, utilizes a no stride trigger. Super quiet operation with limited movement. Big-time power with good balance and extension. Good bat speed with quick hands. Medium swing length with uphill plane that gets crazy loft. Showed ability to get barrel on the ball with easy power collecting three homers in the round. Added another home run in the Showcase game. Set the PG record for the highest recorded exit velocity, topping at 107. Exciting player with big-time power. Excellent student. Duke commit. Named to the 2023 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
