Cooper LeRoy (2028 1B, Gilbert, AZ) came out blowing smoke and punching tickets in his one and only inning of the game. The fastball operated at 90-92 with sinking action at the bottom. He has a loose arm and landed a shorter slider. The projection here is off the charts. He also caught a barrel later in the game at 100 EV, a single into left field.
Rory Funke (2028 LHP, Needham, MA) was pounding the zone here early in the start at worked fast in the first. He hides the baseball well and worked in the upper-80s, allowing it to play up. He went to a breaker and changeup to round out mix, both project long term as quality secondaries.
Austin Rodriguez (2028 RHP, Henderson, NV) has so much upside on the mound and firing bullets here from a loose arm. The fastball worked in the upper-80s, grabbing 90 mph with life out of the hand. The slider plays well off the fastball and showed some two-plane shape in the upper-70s.
Madden Pike (2028 C, Puyallup, WA) got the barrel out front and hit one right down the left field line for a double (91 EV). It's a functional right-handed swing and can really hit, the defensive versatility is elite as well.
Brandon Perkins Jr. (2028 OF, Bowling Green, KY) absolutely barreled one in the early innings, firing one back up the middle for a two RBI hit (97 EV). The hand speed has been on display the whole day and doing damage in game action here.
Jacob Reynolds (2028 2B, Charlotte, NC) came up with a loud barrel as he smashed a double into the left-center gap (99 EV). He's not the most physically imposing right-handed hitter but the bat-to-ball and ability to use the whole field is special and the barrel feel is elite.
Ethan Johnson (2028 RHP, Spring, TX) working in the upper-80s throughout the outing, showing good life out of the hand and sinking action at the bottom of the zone. He can land a solid breaking ball as well.
Colt Ward (2028 C, Wauseon, OH) just launched a baseball into the trees for a long homer (99 EV/390 FT). The power upside here is immense and he's already tapping into it. One of the best swings of the day so far and the profile is really intriguing as a LHH catcher with present power.
David Robertson (2028 3B, Westford, MA) showed somoe strength in the middle innings as he lifted one to the opposite field gap for a double (93 EV). It's a big/physical right-handed bat with pretty low effort power thjat showed up here.
Quincy Gibbs (2028 SS, Farmingville, NY) lifted one into the PS gap for a triple to drive in a pair of runs. He pulled the hands in nicely here and showed solid feel for the barrel and quality bat speed. He also showed off the run tool stretching it into a triple.
Ian Jansen (2028 SS, Tampa, FL) lifted one off the wall for a triple. The bat-to-ball skills have been standout today and he projects well to continue adding strength, making the power tick up even more. He showed feel for lift to the pull-side throughout the round of BP today too.
Chase Utley (2028 SS, Huntsville, AL) banged a ball off the base of the left field wall for a double (92 EV). He's made good swing decisions all day and the ball comes off easy. There's still plenty of projection remaining to the frame.
James Bacher (2028 C, Vienna, VA) lifted a ball down the right field line for a stand up double. There's solid strength off the barrel already with more coming down the line and is already showing good feel for the barrel.
Lukas Metzen (2028 OF, Houston, TX) found a loud barrel towards the end of the game with nothing to show for it. He smashed a ball the other way for a hard L9 (95 EV). Has had a good showing throughout the event so far and continued it here.
