Taylor Reidy is a 2027 C/3B with a 5-9 183 lb. frame from Worcester, MA who attends St. Paul Diocesan. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout. Ran a 5.42 40-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, gains ground coming out of crouch, clean receiver and transfer out of glove with quick exchange, arm plays well down to second base with accuracy on throws, repeats mechanics well. Plays back on the ball in the infield, shorter steps on the move, fields it out front with two hands, medium length to arm action on throws across, shows present arm strength and carry. Right-handed hitter, begins with an medium base and even stance with a high back elbow at the plate. Loads hands back at start of swing but remains short to the ball, middle of the field approach. Gets the barrel to it well with strength in hands, simple operation overall and shows ability to impact to the middle of field when squared up. Nice tools to build upon on both sides.
