Anthony Huaranga is a 2028 3B/RHP with a 6-2 207 lb. frame from Nutley, NJ who attends The Stony Brook. Big and physical build with very good present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance with a drifting hand load, has leverage and big strength at contact, gets the ball in the air with pull side juice, some refining to do with his swing but no mistaking the bat speed and impact. Primary third baseman on defense, is athletic for his size and works through the ball well, compact and fast arm action with big raw arm strength, gets big velocity/carry with low effort, made accurate throws. Also pitched, worked from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and small turn over the rubber, over the top arm slot with a compact arm action and short stride out front, simple low effort mechanics. Fastball sat in the low 90's with both cutting and running life at different times. Sweeping low 80's slider was a good pitch with some depth and bite. Tended to slow a bit on his change up. Very interesting two-way prospect with big tools. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
