Jacob Gray is a 2028 SS/2B, MIF, IF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Benicia, CA who attends De La Salle. Medium, athletic build with present strength throughout the frame. Right-handed hitter, medium base with a high back elbow in the stance, moderate leg lift creates rhythm, has easy leverage and bat speed with connection throughout the swing. Gets into lower half and lifts the ball with big time strength to the middle of the field. Ball comes off super easy with good feel for the barrel. Primary middle infielder, fundamentally sound footwork with choppy footwork working aorund the baseball, two hand funnel out front into a mid body exchange, has good feel for the leather. Full arm stroke to a higher slot and creates carry across the diamond, recorded throws up to 82 mph with accuracy to the bag. Named to 2024 14u PG Select Festival.
