Bryan Mesa is a 2028 SS/3B with a 6-1 168 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Features a taller/athletic build with lean projection. Ran a 7.26 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed solid actions with present body control/coordination. Hands showed noticeable sureness/softness at reception and worked to a quick release where he displayed some easy arm strength and his throws had strong carry across. At the plate, he sits with a wider base and tight hands that hold an upright barrel. Slight gather with his smaller leg lift trigger where the hands pop back creating some separation into launch. His loose/quick hands than stay inside the baseball and deliver the barrel on a slight uphill path with adv. bat speed. Leverages in lower half well in the swing. Post-impact results stayed through the middle of the field with hard LDs. Hard contact translated into gameplay where he had a couple hard low LDs through the third-baseman. Also jumped on the mound, where he showed a low-effort operation with an easy quick arm. More of east-west plane mover where his arm worked to a lower 3/4 slot. He ran the FB up to 85 that exhibited some natural run/rink action and good raw spin (~2400s). Mixed in the upper 60s, T70 SL that showed slurvy action and flashed sharp break when he released it out front but backed several of them up during gameplay. Names to 14U Select Fest Roster.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
