Zach Estrada is a 2028 1B/RHP, OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Covina, CA who attends Orange Lutheran. Medium, athletic frame with present strength throughout the frame. Right-handed hitter, high hands and back elbow in the stance, short leg lift trigger, short and direct barrel path to contact with strength in the hands. Middle to pull approach with big bat speed and strength, ball comes off the barrel easy, recorded an exit velocity of 98 mph. Primary first baseman, fundamentally sound actions, deep two hand funnel, clean turns with quick exchanges and obvious arm strength shown to both bags. Accurate and feeds the double play nicely, recorded throws up to 85 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, small side step to a belt high leg lift out of the windup, clean arm action to a three-quarters slot, works down the mound with athleticism, worked with a fastball heavy diet and lived in the low-80s, up to 84 mph (2114 RPM) and flashed a curveball with tight 11-5 shape, up to 72 mph (2074 RPM). Also worked out in the outfield, under control on the charge, fields off to the side with one hand, long arm action to a higher slot, has carry to both bags and the ball comes out easy, recorded accurate throws up to 86 mph. Great student. Selected to the 2024 14u PG Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
