Xavier Sjostedt (2023 LHP, Furlong, PA) showed impressive two-way ability as he attacked the zone on the bump and crushed a double to pull. He's got a strong three pitch with a fastball up to 80 mph and a put away slider.

55-Orange vs. 56-Purple

12/28/2020

Kendric Jernigan (2023 IF, Warner Robins, GA) had one of the better swings on this field all day, lacing a line drive up the middle for a single in his first at-bat. Ripped another single in his second at-bat into left field.

Anthony Ruiz (2022 OF, Miami, FL) had the loudest swing of the day with a line drive down the left field line in his first at-bat, easily extra bases if it would have stayed fair. Ruiz singled to left two pitches later in a patient at-bat.

Bryant Zayas (2022 SS, Hialeah, FL) plays a really smooth shortstop, made a nice play on a slow-roller with a quick transfer early in the game and took a hit away on a line drive up the middle as well. Zayas also knocked a double in the game, taking a ball off the top of his foot and lacing into the left-center field gap.

Jacob Kruzlic (2022 RHP, Lakeland, FL) started the game on the mound for his squad, throwing three innings and touching 80 mph with his fastball. He added a pair of singles at the plate.

Austin Alonso (2024 MIF, Rockton, IL) was one of the youngest players on the field and showed some promising pop in his bat. The lefty-swinging middle infielder turned on a fastball and put it into the right-center field gap for a double.

Gustin Barrido (2023 SS, RHP, Lutz, FL) got a ton of barrel on a single into left field in his second at-bat of the day, adding to the single he hit up the middle in his first at-bat. Short, compact swing.

Jack Scheri (2022 MIF, Peru, IL) turned on a 83 mph fastball in his second at-bat that carried over the left fielder's head for a double. Scheri is a solidly-built prospect with power in his stroke.

Tristan McGregor (2023 RHP, MIF, Sarasota, FL) threw three innings on the mound, ramping up to 83 mph and holding at around 80-81 throughout his outing. He paired the heater with a sharp breaker at around 68 mph. McGregor added a double at the plate on a ball that just kept carrying over the right fielder's head.

19- Navy vs 20-Orange

12/28/2020

Chase Meyer (2023 RHP, Canton, GA) showed a fast arm with cut action to fastball up to 90 MPH from an extended ¾ slot. Showed a pair of secondary offerings with swing and miss potential.

Wesley Mendes (2023 LHP, Tampa, FL) showed a heavy FB up to 91 MPH and sharp slider that he commands. Struck out 9 in 3 innings.

Jax Phillips (2024 3B, Milton, GA) was long and loose up to 86 MPH with room to add. Showed command of a 71 MPH breaker as an out pitch.

Devon Alleyne (2023 OF, Lawrenceville, GA) showed quick hands with a missile through the 6 hole. Also swiped a couple bags and plenty of range in CF.

Amari Collins (2023 1B, Peachtree City, GA) showed a fluid compact approached and laced a double to the left center field gap.

Luke Orfi (2023 SS, Cumming, GA) showed a ton of range and plenty enough arm to stay at SS. Also barreled a double down the left field line. Up to 83 with a quick arm and heavy sink from a low ¾ arm slot.

Avery Prichard (2022 OF, Birmingham, AL)showed a short quick arm action up to 84 MPH with some life. Great command of a 73 MPH breaking ball.

51-Gray vs 52-Green Game Highlights

12/28/2020

Jaymal Bonilla (2022 LHP, Isabela, PR) has a long, lean frame with plenty of growth potential.  He throws from a 3/4 slot and attacks hitters with a good tempo.  He kept hitters off balance with a low-80s fastball, a tumbling change and tight curveball with some depth.

Charles Williams Jr. (2023 1B, Riverview, FL) is a physical RHH with a large frame.  He barreled the ball up in both of his at bats, hammering a line drive single down the right field line to leadoff the game and then had a hard fly ball hang up in the wind to left.

Jorge J Cartagena (2022 OF, Carolina, PR) is good looking athlete with a long frame.  A RHH, he had a single and RBI double to left in his two plate appearances on the day.  He also ran the bases aggressively, as he came around to score a pair of runs.

Logan Dunn (2024 LHP, Neshkoro, WI) picked up a couple of RBIs on a line drive single to center field.  While he is a primary pitcher, he showed a smooth stroke with his long, lean frame from the left side of the plate.

Efrain Zambrana (2022 2B, Ponce, PR) put good swings on the ball in both of his plate appearances.  The lean, medium framed RHH smoked a line drive over the center fielders' head in his first at bat.  He also showed good defensive skills in the infield on a couple of chances.

9-Purple vs. 10-Red Game Highlights

12/28/2020

Jack Wise (2022 RHP, Augusta, GA) displayed athleticism and a quick arm on the mound running his fastball up to 91 on the mound with late deceptive life to it. Flashed a feel for a sharp 12-6 curveball as well and commanded it to both sides of the plate, striking out four in two strong innings of work.

Tyler Welch (2023 RHP, Davenport, IA) tossed three strong innings on the mound striking out eight. Showed off a three pitch mix and used a clean repeatable delivery to hold velocity. Flashed good depth on the breaking ball and an above average changeup.

Michael Podstreleny (2024 C, San Diego, CA) made loud contact on a double into left-center field showcasing quick hands at the plate.

Dante Aliberti (2022 SS, Pompano Beach, FL) showcased a short compact swing and a good feel for the barrel of the bat going 2-2 on the afternoon. Ripped a ball into left field his second time up and showed good speed on the bases hustling out a double.

Sohrab Rezaei (2023 MIF, Chicago, IL) turned around an inside fastball deep down the left field line for a double. Utilizes a line drive swing plane and gets the bat through the zone quick.

M Tyler Gorbett (2022 C, Newport News, VA) has a strong, accurate arm and quick release behind the dish. Made loud contact at the plate in his last at bat as well on a line-out to left field.
