2022 High School All State Select Championship (2023-2024 Grads)
Brock Thorndell is a 2023 RHP/2B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Waller. Larger frame with strength showing throughout the build. A primary pitcher who worked out of the stretch only. Had a loose arm, working from an easy three-quarters arm slot. Starts closed off, pounding the zone. He uses a coiled leg lift as he begins working through his delivery, preparing to ride the slope and move down the mound. His lower half moves well, and works down the slope well. Continued to pound the zone throughout the outing. His fastball was up to 91 mph while holding the mid- to upper-80s throughout his 3 innings of work. He also showed a big hook around 75 mph. Had good vertical depth to it and some depth. He also showed a changeup up around 79 mph with some fade and depth to it. Punched out 5 hitters over 3 innings, while allowing just 1 hit. Excellent student. Midland College commit.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
