Eric Hernandez is a 2022 C with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Ponce, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Compact frame with some strength to the build. Ran a 7.53 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up slightly side-straddled in workouts, occasionally struggles to receive it but has quickness to his exchanges and shows accuracy with his throws down to the bag. Righthanded hitter, sets up balanced and even with his hands; shows great rhythm and timing working on plane with length through the zone and good extension through contact. Lifts the ball with simplicity, looseness and little effort generating great carry off the barrel and showing tremendous offensive upside. Good student.
