7-Orange vs. 9-Red Highlights

Dane Goodman (2018 OF, Ross, CA) had a quick bat and showcased his line drive approach hitting two solid doubles while scoring two runs in the game.

Lukas White (2018 RHP, Castaic, CA) has a strong build and solid approach leading to his 2 – 3 afternoon with a double, single, and RBI. 

Ricky Tibbett (2019 RHP, Chula Vista, CA) showed good arm speed as well as a 11 to 5 curveball with depth and late break. He sat 82 – 85 in the matchup, allowing only one hit over the course of four innings.

Dante Schmid (2020 RHP, Chula Vista, CA) had solid command of all his pitches, showcasing a fastball, changeup, and his go-to strikeout pitch – the curveball. Schmid fanned three over the course of as many innings and allowed only one hit.

Bradley Mookini (2019 RHP, San Diego, CA) located all of his pitches, showing plus command and utilizing all quadrants of the zone. The right handed pitcher finished the contest with three strikeouts over three innings. 


12-White vs 13-Orange Game Highlights

Spencer Perry (2019 OF, Thousand Oaks, CA) Showed good barrel control throughout the game driving a sharp ground ball town the third baseline for an RBI single. Later barreled another ball up the other way for a line out to the second baseman.

Carson McKinney (2021 1B, Temecula, CA) Worked two innings on the mound showing good arm whip through extension topping at 80 miles per hour. Also maintained arm speed well with curveball and changeup offering, proved to be deceptive for hitters to pick up. 

Micah Pietila-Wiggs (2018 OF, Chula Vista, CA) Produced hard contact in each at bat of the day. Collected two hits including a sharply hit line drive to the right center field gap for an inside the park home run. 

Jordan Sprinkle (2019 SS, Indio, CA) Utilized a very aggressive approach and looked to drive pitches early in counts. Collected three singles in four at bats, stole four bases as well. 

Julian Mungarro (2018 C, Torrance, CA) Flashed good bat speed through the zone with the ability to turn barrel head to contact. Drove a sharp line drive double to the left center field gap driving in a runner and later added a hard single back up the middle. Also pitched showing good feel for his fastball offering that topped at 81 miles per hour. 

Michael Barajas (2019 2B, Chula Vista, CA) Showed a knack for finding the barrel with solid feel for the zone. Collected two singles while driving in a run. 

Colin Denny (2019 C, San Marcos, CA) Showed good barrel control with the willingness to go with pitches located away. Singled sharply to right field, driving in two running in last at bat. 

2-Columbia Blue vs 3-Gold Game Highlights

Lucas Nelson (2020 OF, San Diego, CA) swung the bat well and collected 3 hits on the game.  He put good swings on the baseball and made consistent barrel contact.

Tom Liu (2018 RHP, San Dimas, CA) pitched well at 81-85 MPH and worked ahead of hitters.  He worked both sides of the plate with his fastball and showed command of his 12/6 curveball at 70 MPH.  

Trent Lopez (2019 SS, Carlsbad, CA) pitched at 82-86 MPH with a clean delivery.  His arm works and he showed arm speed.  Lopez threw 3 pitches for strikes and allowed 1 hit in 2 innings.

Christopher Giovengo (2018 SS, La Mesa, CA) pitched at 81-84 MPH with his fastball and didn't allow a hit in his 2 innings of work.  

Miguel Balderrama (2018 RHP, Hacienda Heights, CA) hit a home run and showed some bat speed.

Travis Shaff-Brown (2018 LHP, Menifee, CA) swung the bat well collecting 2 hits on the game with a triple.  He showed good bat speed and made solid barrel contact.

Daniel McElveny (2021 MIF, Chula Vista, CA) collected 2 hits on the game with a double and RBI.  He showed solid young hitting tools.

Dylan Delvecchio (2019 LHP, San Marcos, CA) swung a hot bat collecting 3 hits in the game.  He also stole a base.  He showed some bat speed and a line drive path.

Christopher Ortega (2019 1B, Murrieta, CA) hit a home run in the game and showed some strength in his swing.

6-Navy vs. 8-Purple Highlights

Isaac Ramirez (2019 C, Fullerton, CA): Ramirez really stood out on Sunday, going 3-3 with 2 doubles, showing legitimate bat speed with strength and power off the barrel. Has a chance to be an impact hitter at the next level. 

Troy Smith (2020 C, Newport Beach, CA): Smith collected a pair of hits on Sunday morning, doing a good job of getting the barrel out on time and working to the pull field with authority.

Alonzo Richardson (2020 SS, Spring Valley, CA): Richardson is very projectable both physically and with the bat, showing a quick, loose stroke that has good barrel skills. He picked up two hits on Sunday, including a double. 

Jacob Luevano (2017 3B, South Pasadena, CA): Luevano showed a very quick bat on Sunday, able to square up pitches all over the zone. He picked up two hits, including a double, and also scored a run.

Harrison Rodgers (2019 MIF, San Diego, CA): Rodgers collected one of the few extra base hits of the day with a triple in the 6th inning, showing quick hands through his swing. He later scored that inning as well. 

Peyton Maple (2018 RHP, Temecula, CA): Maple worked four shutout innings on the mound, allowing only a single hit and striking out seven. He pounded the bottom of the zone with a fastball at 82-84 MPH and also got swings-and-misses on a sharp, deep curveball.  


 

1-Black vs. 4-Green Highlights

Trevor Meisner (2020 RHP, Las Vegas, NV): Meisner did a good job putting bat on ball in this game, collecting a pair of base hits and coming around to score after his first one of the day. 

Seth Spencer (2019 LHP, Moreno Valley, CA): Spencer has been very good all weekend long, and continued that on Sunday, notching two hits in the contest and adding a stolen base as well. He also showed extremely well on the mound, where he worked up to 86 MPH with his fastball and threw consistent strikes, striking out 7 hitters in four innings while getting a good deal of weak contact as well. 

Kyson Donahue (2018 SS, Honolulu, HI): Donahue did a good job closing out the game, attacking hitters with a fastball up to 82 mph, striking out 2 of the 3 hitters he faced in his one-inning effort. 

Jake Goddard (2018 OF, La Mesa, CA): Goddard collected a pair of hits in the game while showing good bat speed; and he's also a terror on the base paths as he swiped three bags. 

Nick Wilson (2019 SS, Fremont, CA): Wilson showed good bat-to-ball skills in the game with two hits, including a triple. He showed the ability to generate loft in his swing and work into the gaps. 


Sunshine West Day 2 BP Highlights

Davis Cop (2019 C, Valencia, CA): Showed a smooth barrel with loose, easy hands; consistently getting onto a positive launch angle and driving the ball on a line to all fields. 

Matt Schlesener (2019 1B, San Diego, CA): Has good present strength in his swing along with good power projection; showed the ability to drive the ball deep to the pull field when he gets it into the air.

Jashia Morrissey (2019 SS, Los Angeles, CA): A switch-hitter, Morrissey showed good hitting tools and bat speed from both sides of the plate; with his lefthanded swing producing solid extra base pop as well into gaps. 

Joseph Abrams (2018 LHP, Riverside, CA): Abrams showed legitimate power during batting practice with the ability to work to all fields as well; with a quick, compact stroke that produces good bat speed. 

Aidan Berger (2021 SS, Palo Alto, CA): Berger has legitimate hitting tools for a rising freshman, showed a quick, whippy barrel and explosive lower half, consistently squaring up the ball and driving it on a line to all fields. 

Blake Caron (2020 LHP, Fallbrook, CA): Has good feel for the barrel, with the ability to make firm contact all over the zone and work to all fields on a line. Will unlock more power as he gets stronger as well. 

Jordan Dem (2019 3B, Oak Park, CA): Dem took one of the louder BP rounds of the event, showing a nicely-flowing swing with excellent bat speed and leverage out front, driving the ball repeatedly up both gaps with impressive online carry. 

Lance Pugh (2017 OF, Los Angeles, CA): An uncommitted 2017, Pugh showed legitimate power in his BP round, as well as good bat speed and one of the stronger righthanded swings of the event with the ability to drive the ball deep. 

Justin Cervantes (2019 OF, La Mesa, CA): Cervantes consistently wanted to hit the ball into the air with authority and did so successfully; showing good bat speed and leverage with impressive jump off the barrel.

Micah Pietila-Wiggs (2018 OF, Chula Vista, CA): Pietila-Wiggs did a great job really torquing his hips into his swing and generating good power in his lower half; he also showed very good bat speed and consistently drove the ball into the gaps with good jump.

Aaron Pulido (2020 1B, San Diego, CA): Pulido has excellent strength throughout his body and showed it into his swing, lifting and separating on time with intent and driving the ball deep to the pull side.

Justice Panton (2018 SS, Phoenix, AZ): Panton has quality bat speed with some strength at contact as well, showing the ability to consistently make firm contact to the pull field; also drove one into opposite field gap.

6/11/2017

Jacob Liberta (2019 OF, Phoenix, AZ) pitched at 77-80 MPH with some run on it.  He also located a 1/7 CB with some tilt.  He also hit a triple to right center field with a solid approach.  

Noel Bustos (2018 C, Fresno, CA) showed some hitting tools at the plate with some bat speed.  

Brian Rubenstein (2020 MIF, Malibu, CA) showed a compact swing at the plate and maintained balance through his swing.  

Kevin Santana (2018 LHP, Corona, CA) pitched well at 79-83 MPH striking out 9 in 4 innings.  He threw 3 pitches for strikes and moved up and down in the zone well.  He showed pitchablity and quality off-speed stuff.

Kyle Moats (2019 LHP, Fresno, CA) hit a hard double to the left center field wall.  He showed a compact swing with some bat speed.

11-Steel vs 14-White Game Highlights

Luis Rivera (2018 RHP, San Diego, CA) pitched at 80-82 MPH with his fastball and gets some run on it.  He challenged hitters in the strike zone and showed some feel for his 11/5 curveball at 66-70 MPH.

Tyler Glowacki (2021 OF, Lakeside, CA) pitched at 78-80 MPH with his fastball and pounded the strike zone.  He induced weak contact and struck out 4 in 2 innings.  He also showed some bat speed and had a hit in the game.

Joe Hollerbach (2019 3B, Orinda, CA) pitched at 77-82 MPH with a loose arm action.  He showed some feel on the mound and worked the edges of the plate well.

Aidan Berger (2021 SS, Palo Alto, CA) showed a knack for finding the barrel and worked the baseball to all fields.  He showed solid young hitting tools and made sharp contact.

Hunter Otjen (2020 SS, San Diego, CA) hit a deep double to left center field and showed natural leverage at contact with bat speed.

Drew Rico (2019 LHP, Menifee, CA) pitched at 78-81 MPH with his fastball with some sink and down hill plane to it.  He threw a 68 MPH slider with varying shape with good tilt.

Jordan Dem (2019 3B, Oak Park, CA) pitched at 80-83 MPH with his fastball and pounded the strike zone with it.  He has some arm speed and he throws a heavy fastball.

Andrew Hiestand (2021 RHP, Los Angeles, CA) collected 2 hits in the game and made solid contact.  He has quick hands with an aggressive approach with good extension.

Joseph Abrams (2018 LHP, Riverside, CA) also had 2 hits in the game and turns the barrel well.  He has some looseness to his swing and has a good swing plane.

Kevin Arellano (2020 3B, Huron, CA) hit a double to the opposite field and stayed back nicely on it.  

Maroon vs Navy Highlights

6/10/2017

Jordan Brown (2019 SS, Inglewood, CA) had quick hands and the ability to find the barrel throughout the game. His quick swing earned him a hard single to left in his final at bat.

Alonzo Richardson (2020 SS, Spring Valley, CA) showcased his talents in all facets of the game, Richardson made solid contact consistently while also playing strong defense. On the mound, he changed speeds consistently and utilized plus command to put hitters away. 

Cole Dale (2019 RHP, Los Angeles, CA) had an explosive fastball that sat at 85-86 in a solid outing, allowing zero hits over the course of four innings. He coupled his fastball with a plus late-breaking curve to keep hitters off balance the entirety of his outing.

Isaac Luevano (2018 SS, South Pasadena, CA) struck out four in two innings, giving up only one hit in that frame. His quick pace and ability to dominate the lower part of the zone led to his overall impressive outing.

Caden Cortese (2018 C, Napa, CA) showed his solid opposite field approach, hitting the ball twice the other way – including a well hit double to the right-center field gap.


7-Orange vs 8-Purple Game Highlights

Juan Cerda (2019 C, Chula Vista, CA) pitched at 80-83 MPH with a live arm.  He threw 3 pitches for strikes and showed pitchability.

Alex Chachas (2020 SS, San Diego, CA) collected 2 hits in the game with a double.  He showed some hand quickness and showed some hitting tools.

Cameron Cuellar (2020 OF, San Marcos, CA)had 2 hits on the game and got the bat on the ball well.  He has a line drive approach.

Noel Perez (2019 2B, Chula Vista, CA) had 3 hits in the game with an RBI.  He showed a line drive approach and made consistent contact.

Isaac Ramirez (2019 C, Fullerton, CA) showed a good swing at the plate and hit a home run.  He has good bat speed and showed some pop.  Defensively he showed good receiving skills and sets up well behind the plate.

Lukas White (2018 RHP, Castaic, CA) pitched at 80-83 MPH and struck out 6 in his 4 innings of work.

Brody Smith (2021 RHP, Temecula, CA) pitched well topping at 71 MPH and showed some pitchability.  He retired 8 hitters in a row at one point and worked ahead in the count well.  He's a solid young arm with a feel for pitching.

11-Steel vs 12-White Game Highlights

Josh Dagan (2021 OF, Rancho Santa Fe, CA) went 2-3 with a double and showed a quick bat.  He hit the ball to all fields.

Julian Mungarro (2018 C, Torrance, CA) hit the ball hard 3 times with barrel contact including a single to center field. 

Justin Esters (2019 RHP, Calabasas, CA) pitched at 84-86 MPH with an easy and repeatable arm action.  He located to both sides of the plate and threw a cutter and a slider.  He struck out 4 in 4 innings.

Lincoln Orellana (2019 OF, Wilton, CA) hammered a home run to center field.  He showed a smooth stroke with some bat speed and obvious power.

Matt Schlesener (2019 1B, San Diego, CA) went 3-3 with 3 singles and hit the ball to all fields.  He showed and aggressive approach with some hand quickness in his swing.

Joseph Abrams (2018 LHP, Riverside, CA) pitched at 79-81 MPH with his fastball with good run on it.  He threw a good curveball at 69 MPH with good shape and spin.  

Jashia Morrissey-Jakel (2019 SS, Los Angeles, CA) pitched at 82-84 MPH with his fastball and worked it to all 4 quadrants of the zone.  He flashed a projectable curveball at 70 MPH with 11/5 shape and tight spin.

Red vs Royal Game Highlights

6/10/2017

Noel Bustos (2018 C, Fresno, CA) Showed good bat speed with the ability to turn the barrel with authority. Consistently barrel up the baseball aggressively driving the baseball to pull side.

Ryan Agosto (2019 LHP, San Diego, CA) Worked three scoreless innings while on the mound, but also impressed while at the plate. Showed an inside swing plane and singled to right center field going with a pitch located away.

Justin Cervi (2019 LHP, San Diego, CA) Worked three scoreless innings as well while allowing only one hit. At the plate, showed the ability to control the barrel well and also singled to right field. 

Shane Hofstadler (2018 C, Vista, CA) Consistently barreled up the baseball throughout the day utilized a balanced, line drive approach. Collected two singles and lined out sharply to the shortstop. 

Joseph Magallanes (2021 C, Buena Park, CA) Generated good jump off the barrel collecting a hard double to right center field driving in a runner. 

Dante Schmid (2020 RHP, Chula Vista, CA) Singled twice in three at-bats showing a patient, mature approach at the plate. Also showed heads up base running by taking extra bases on defenders. 

Kyle Moats (2019 LHP, Fresno, CA) Showed a heavy fastball with solid downhill plane from a high three-quarters arm slot, topped at 85 miles per hour. Also kept hitters off balance with a sharp 1/7 curveball that had a similar arm action and arm speed to fastball offering. 

Jack Jansen (2018 1B, San Marcos, CA) Aggressively attacked the strike zone with a deceptive arm action from a loose three-quarters slot. Fastball had occasional running action to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. 

Chase Wells (2019 SS, Gilbert, AZ) Generated good downward plane through the zone from a high three-quarters arm slot topping at 82 miles per hour. Also singled sharply back up the middle utilized a balanced, line drive swing plane.

Sunshine West Day 1 BP Highlights

Cole Dale (2019 RHP, Los Angeles, CA): The UCLA commit is listed as a primary righthanded pitcher; but still showed legitimate hitting tools. He consistently drove the ball into the air on a rising line with legitimate bat speed and strength; and could hit for significant power with continued strength gains. 

Joe Guzman III (2020 OF, Arleta, CA): Guzman may have just finished his freshman year of high school; but showed advanced hitting tools and feel for the barrel, consistently matching the barrel plane to the pitch plane and consistently hitting line drives to all fields. 

Isaac Luevano (2018 SS, South Pasadena, CA): Did a good job circling his hands through his load and getting on plane; consistently squared the ball into the air with linear jump--projects for some power as well. 

Alonzo Richardson (2020 SS, Spring Valley, CA): Richardson showed some serious intent, swinging the bat hard consistently and looking to do damage. Showed good bat speed and hand quickness; will hit for power with additional strength as he matures. 

Mikie Welch (2019 C, San Diego, CA): Welch took one of the louder rounds of the day in terms of power, did a good job squaring up quite a few pitches with legitimate bat speed and strength--drove them deep into the air with projectable HR power. 

Dylan Tanner (2019 C, Foothill Ranch, CA): Tanner is a physical righthanded hitter with good pop, sinking his hips into contact with good bat speed and strength off the barrel, driving a few deep to the pull field.

Jonathan Clark (2018 3B, San Marcos, CA): Clark did a good job finding a consistently positive launch angle, showing good bat speed and combining those two to produce rising line drives with good jump off the barrel. 

Griffin Zamora (2019 SS, La Mesa, CA): Zamora has all the components to hit for serious power when he gets stronger; as he shows legitimate bat speed with a smooth barrel path in addition to loose hands and a consistently positive launch.

Noel Perez (2019 2B, Chula Vista, CA): Perez showed a compact, quick lefthanded stroke that consistently got the barrel out on time and resulted in hard, line drive contact all over the field.

Riley Carter (2019 1B, Carlsbad, CA): Carter has a lot of power-hitting components to his swing, including big time bat speed and strength, which resulted in consistently stung line drives.

Isaac Ramirez (2019 C, Fullerton, CA): Ramirez stays compact with his hands through the zone and extends well through contact, generating quality bat speed and the ability to drive the ball well on a line.

Ryan Agosto (2019 LHP, San Diego, CA): Agosto is listed as a pitcher-only, but his swing was anything but that, showing extremely fast hands that work well into a swing that generated consistently smoked line drives to all fields.

Thomas Temple (2018 1B, Oceanside, CA): Temple has big time strength throughout his body and into his swing, and he showed the ability to elevate and drive the ball deep into the air to the pull field.

Conner Banta (2018 OF, Kennewick, WA): Banta had one of the more simple, repeatable swings of the day; showing legitimate bat speed with clean hands and good hip sink into contact, driving the ball to the pull field consistently. 

Noel Bustos (2018 C, Fresno, CA): Found the barrel consistently with excellent strength and bat speed; hit some high-arching shots that went deep to the pull field--will have big HR pop with more consistency. 

Nolan Inouye (2020 3B, Clovis, CA): Has excellent hands through his swing, with quickness creating bat speed, consistently getting the barrel out on time and stinging the ball on a line to all fields. 

Nick Wilson (2019 SS, Fremont, CA): Wilson has excellent projection remaining on his body; so his present quick, leveraged stroke will likely result in quality power output at maturity. He did a good job working to all fields on a line. 

Bryson Hashimoto (2019 SS, San Diego, CA): Hashimoto showed a very quick stroke with bat speed and leverage off of his front side. He worked on a line consistently to all fields as well as driving a few in the air deep to left field.

Ethan Balolong-Reyes (2017 OF, Ventura, CA): An uncommitted '17, Balolong-Reyes drove the ball consistently on a rising line drive to the pull field with good bat speed and quick hands. He has power potential with continued strength gains as well. 

Christopher Giovengo (2018 SS, La Mesa, CA): Giovengo showed a pull-heavy approach, but worked to that field with authority, consistently driving the ball on a line with good jump off the barrel.

Seth Spencer (2019 LHP, Moreno Valley, CA): Spencer did a good job staying through the ball with a high-energy swing, generating good bat speed and consistently driving the ball on a line, working to all fields as well. 

Jesse Pierce (2019 3B, Las Vegas, NV): Pierce has a highly projectable, athletic build to go along with good hitting tools; as he generates quality bat speed on a line drive plane with good strength off the barrel, hitting rising line drives consistently.   

13-Orange vs 14-White Game Highlights

Kaleb Hatch (2020 C, Escondido, CA) swung the bat well and collected 3 hits on the game.  He showed a good approach at the plate with some bat speed.  He also showed good defensive tools behind the plate.

Spencer Perry (2019 OF, Thousand Oaks, CA) had 2 hits in the game and showed some gap pop.  He hit a double and showed some bat speed.

Cole Reynolds (2019 SS, El Cajon, CA) had 2 hits in the game and hit a double in the game.  He showed a solid approach with some bat speed.

John Hanley (2018 3B, San Francisco, CA) hammered a home run and takes an aggressive hack at the baseball.  He showed bat speed and some pop.

Max Snyder (2019 RHP, Anaheim, CA) pitched at 79-81 MPH with his fastball and located it to both sides of the plate.  He struck out 6 in 4 innings and showed some pitchability.

Jordan Doole (2018 OF, San Diego, CA) collected 2 hits in the game and showed a good swing path.  He showed some bat speed and a solid approach at the plate.  He also pitched and topped out at 82 MPH.

Ross Goldschlag (2019 RHP, Encinitas, CA) pitched at 77-81 MPH and struck out 7 in 4 innings.  He worked both sides of the plate and threw strikes.  

3-Gold vs 4-Green Game Highlights

Travis Shaff-Brown (2018 LHP, Menifee, CA) pitched well at 81-83 MPH with his fastball and located well to both sides of the plate.  He showed pitchability and threw 3 pitches for strikes.  He threw a change up at 74 MPH with good sink and some deception.  He also swung the bat well collecting 2 hits.

Kevahn Ebron (2019 LHP, Pacific Grove, CA) pitched at 79-81 MPH and struck out 5 in 3 innings of work.  He showed good command of his fastball and located his slider as well.  

Mike Schreiber (2019 RHP, Rancho Santa Fe, CA) pitched at 79-82 MPH touching 83 MPH.  He threw a curveball at 67 MPH with some shape to it. 

Skyler Loverink (2019 LHP, Lake Oswego, OR) pitched well at 79-81 MPH with his fastball while striking out 6 in 4 innings.  He allowed just 1 hit.  

Lucas Nelson (2020 OF, San Diego, CA) swung the bat well collecting 2 hits including a double to right center field.  He has a strong athletic build and showed some bat speed.

Jake Goddard (2018 OF, La Mesa, CA) swung the bat well collecting 2 hits with a double.  He barreled the baseball well and has a sound approach at the plate.  Goddard ran well and also showed some bat speed.

Maddux Miyasato (2020 2B, Mililani, HI) collected 2 hits for the Black team and showed a compact stroke to the baseball.  He barreled it up well and showed quick hands to the baseball.

Kyson Donahue (2018 SS, Honolulu, HI) hit a hard double to deep center field for 2 RBI.  He has a smooth stroke to the baseball and has a strong athletic build.
