Travis Shaff-Brown is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Paloma Valley. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side and worked to the plate with tall and fall actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed occasional run to arm side with slight sink in the low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Curveball had 1/7 shape with tight spin and good depth to the bottom of the zone in the upper 60's. Slow arm speed with a changeup offering that flashed occasional sink in the upper 60's as well. Looked to keep the baseball down in the zone while changing speeds. Induced weak contact and effectively stayed off barrels. Good student as well.
