Kenneth Hirose is a 2018 SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Eastside Catholic High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, reads the hops well on ground balls and can adjust, fields the ball out front, full arm action through the back and gets on top of throws, shows carry across the diamond with some effort at release, has comfort working from multiple release points. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Upper body dominant swing, stays compact with swing and direct to the ball with path. Creates contact out front and shows carry off the barrel when squared, worked the middle and pull side with ability to generate back spin. Very good student.
