Victor Johnson is a 2019 RHP/UT with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Montgomery. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; highly projectable frame moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, hands over head into delivery with longer arm stroke through the back with high takeaway. Methodical pace to delivery. Good balance throughout, throws from high three quarters arm slot with good plane generated. Fastball worked 69-71 mph with some arm side life, good action on the pitch. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and gradual depth; was able to land it for strikes. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with small leg lift trigger, rotational in lower half, stays on line drive swing plane throughout and does a good job staying committed to the middle of the field. Worked out defensively in the outfield; shows good movements in on the ball with balance through actions, showed solid arm strength up to 76 mph. Good student.
