Jose Lemus is a 2018 SS/ with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Sunnyside. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.10 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with clean, sound footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling the baseball out front and working through transfer. Generated good momentum to the bag while working through the baseball. Showed the ability to change arm angles while on the run and throw across the infield with accuracy, topped at 87 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and large leg lift trigger. Shifts into contact aggressively with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path to contact with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked between the outfield gaps, but flashed the ability to turn barrel and work to pull side with solid jump off the barrel.
