Royal vs. White Game Highlights

6/14/2023

Jax Bishop (2025 RHP, Rome, GA) came out showing a complete 4-pitch arsenal on the mound, mixing and matching throughout his two innings. His fastball topped out 90 mph and sat comfortably in the upper-80s while showing both a curveball and slider within the zone, as well as a changeup, which he showed a feel for sequencing and doubling up on in any given at-bat.

Seth Hernandez (2025 RHP, Chino, CA) was electric during his two innings of work as he made quick work of his two frames. Up to 95 mph with his heater, Hernandez worked in full attack mode as the fastball carried through the zone and missed bats though his feel to go to either a changeup or curveball in any count to elicit whiffs and rack up the strike outs.

Austin Pierzynski (2025 C, Orlando, FL) made the most of his first at-bat, wasting little time to show his barrel skills as he lined a well struck single into right-center field gap.

Jaison Delamar (2025 OF, Fayetteville, AR) picked up the first extra-base hit of the game as he went with an outer half breaker and barreled it past a diving right fielder, registering 88 mph off of the barrel to spark the White offense. He also jumped on the mound and ran his fastball up to 89 mph over his two frames.

The White offense was just getting going as Joshua Campbell (2025 OF, Bloomfield Hills, MI) promptly turned on a pitch for a long and loud double off the top of the monster for a booming double, driving in Delamar to keep the at-bats going.

Cooper Teeples (2025 OF, Johns Creek, GA) had himself a nice day at the plate, picking up a couple of barreled knocks over his first two at-bats, the second of which saw him end up on third base rather quickly as he swiped a pair of bags real quick.

Luke Sullivan (2025 1B, Bristow, VA) is a strongly build left-handed stick who connected for one of the louder barrels in the game, turning around a double to the pull side gap which registered 93 mph off of the barrel.

Zach Strickland (2025 RHP, Arcadia, CA) put together a quality a quality second at-bat as he pulled his hands in on an 88 mph fastball, turning it around for a 92 mph exit velocity for a single. He also made an outstanding diving catch in shallow right field, taking away what was a sure fire hit off of the bat.

Luke Cornelison (2025 SS, Tontitown, AR) got his hands extended and went with an outer half fastball which he scorched through the 3-hole hole for a 93 mph exit velocity to pick up a single.

Billy Carlson (2025 SS, Corona, CA) already made a name for himself this showcase with his workout performance and right-handed swing and he continued to show another element of his game, albeit brief, when he jumped on the mound. The Vanderbilt commit ran his fastball up to 92 mph, showing plenty of arm speed and athleticism in his operation, two things that he also showed on defense with a silky turn around the second base bag on defense.

Kayson Cunningham's (2025 SS, San Antonio, TX) defense was on display late in the game with an impressive play up where he used the slick turf to his advantage, showing big range up the middle before making a pop slide with a spin before delivering a strike on to first base.

Grayson Burleson (2025 RHP, Summertown, TN) punched out three in his two innings of work, allowing just one hit while running his fastball up to 89 mph while sitting in the upper-80s throughout. He showed a nice feel for his curveball, landing it for strikes while flashing a couple of changeups as well.

Max Luzarraga (2025 RHP, Matthews, NC) and Nolan Bernard (2025 RHP, Walden, TN) both worked a pair of innings for the Royal club following Bishop's start, both working into the upper-80s. Luzarraga, who is currently uncommitted topped out at 89 mph with sinking life while Bernard bumped 88 mph and mixed a pair of different breakers in his curveball and slider.

Red vs. Vegas Gold Game Highlights

6/14/2023

Zion Theophilus (2025 RHP, Cincinnati, OH) came out pumping the strike zone, showing outstanding arm speed as he ran his fastball up to 91 mph, challenging hitters throughout. He's long been known for his ability to spin the baseball and today was no different, showing a pair of sliders, both of which were able to elicit empty swings.

Gavin Stedman (2025 RHP, Auburndale, FL) was sharp over his two frames of work, running his fastball up to 90 mph and maintained upper-80s over both frames. His feel for both a curveball and slider were clear as he spun both with conviction and left hitters off balance at the plate.

Julian Braga (2025 C, Port Orange, FL) turned around an 89 mph fastball in his first trip to the plate, lining it hard to the pull side gap registering 90 mph off of the barrel to plate the first run of the game.

Jackson Roper (2025 SS, Orange Park, FL) continued to swing a hot stick as he spun around a pitch down the third base line for an easy double before showing off his speed in swiping third base shortly thereafter.

Luke Beeler (2025 C, Jenks, OK) is a physical right-handed stick with some thump in his stick as we've seen over the weekend, this time sending a double down the pull side line which registered 86 mph off the bat. He also showed off his prowess behind the plate with a strike down to second base to get a would-be theft by a step or two.

Ty Kennedy (2025 SS, Orlando, FL) put together a nice day at the yard as he singled hard back up the middle on the first pitch of the at-bat before showing off his defensive actions at second base, ranging far to his left picking the ball prior to an off balance, 360 turn which he completed with a strike to first base. He finished with a 2-hit day.

Keegan Deihl (2025 RHP, Mars, PA) is an uncommitted 6-foot-2 right-hander out of Pennsylvania who did well throughout his two frames, working comfortably in the mid-80s (top 87 mph) from a higher three-quarters release. He showed a downer curveball as well which he was able to bury for strikes in the upper-70s while also flashing a changeup.

Lucas Henn (2025 RHP, Cranberry Twp, PA) is a physical right-hander at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds who was able to induce ground ball contact while topping out at 89 mph. He turned over a changeup well, upwards of 81 mph, which he sold with conviction and was able generate late, darting life.

Bryden Bull (2025 OF, Las Vegas, NV) continued to find barrels after a loud first day, spinning around another barreled knock into right field in his second trip of the game.

Brody Juntunen (2025 RHP, Orlando, FL) didn't throw anything straight and as a result was able to mow down the opposition. His fastball worked into the mid-80s with consistent cut action while mixing in a diving changeup with comfort and consistency, picking up plenty of off balance swing.

Kai Nee (2025 LHP, Westport, CT) showed a lot of intriguing stuff throughout his two innings of work. The fastball got into the upper-80s and has really good feel for a curveball with tons of depth. He's a high level left-handed arm.

Batting Practice Highlights

6/11/2023

Diego Jousue Cruz (2025, Carolina, PR) lifted the ball with projectable bat speed, working the pull side. The left-handed stick has a hitterish look and obvious barrel skills.

Cameron Uzzillia (2025, Tampa, FL) punished balls throughout the entirety of his round, finding consistent barrels. The North Carolina State commit possesses big power upside and already present juice.

John Phillip (JP) Abt (2025, Brandon, MS) lofted the ball, showing projectable power to pull side and the middle of the field. The Mississippi native also took a very good round in the infield to kick off a strong start for the showcase.

William Johnson (2025, Watkinsville, GA) had a very consistent round, barreling ball to right field on a frequent basis. The swing is loose and leveraged with low effort pop, going deep on the final pitch.

Dillon Adkins (2025, Leonardtown, MD) blistered baseballs to the pull side during his round. The Tennessee commit creates length and uses the ground well with advanced bat speed.

Henry Jackson (2025, Lexington, SC) ripped balls at a high rate and the ball jumps off the barrel. The South Carolina commit leveraged the barrel well and the parts work.

William Patrick (2025, Monroe, LA) peppered LCF with loud barrels throughout the round. He worked to lift the ball and stays on a steep path through the zone with very strong hands.

Josh Hammond (2025, High Point, NC) elevated the ball with authority to pull side, lifting some balls sky high. Hammond has obvious strength and is also one of the best pitchers in the class.

Ethan Holliday (2025, Stillwater, OK) took a professional round of batting practice, going to all fields with effortless power. He squared up every baseball during the round and went deep pull side.

Jake Collier (2025, Pacific, MO) swung the bat very well, displaying nice jump off the barrel

Brooks Burdine (2025, Aledo, TX) showcased advanced hand speed and pounded balls to deep left field often. The Texas native is under control in the box with good rhythm and stays well-balanced.

Matthew Boughton (2025, Colleyville, TX) stayed on the barrel all round and the juice should continue to blossom. The Texas A&M commit used a loose swing and showed good lift pull side.

Carter Bentley (2025, Hopkinton, MA) produced consistent barrels, employing a line drive approach. The primary outfielder has a clean swing with simple components and stays on a linear path.

Caleb Barnett (2025, Mountain Brook, AL) showed big juice during his round, meeting the ball with real impact. The primary third baseman stands at a physical 6’5”/210 and fits the profile off a big corner bat.

Orlando Cruz (2025, Juncos, PR) showed the makings of really good bat speed, using a clean stroke with looseness. Cruz is uber athletic and ran a 6.41 60-yard dash.

Evan Fernandez (2025, Palm Beach Gardens, FL) hit balls very hard throughout the round. The standout physicality and hand strength posit big pop moving forward.

Remo Indomenico (2025, Chicago, IL) created length, using a loose and lofted stroke. The left-handed stick backspun it well, showing carry to the pull side gap.

Riley Brown (2025, Cottonwood Heights, UT) did a nice job of leveraging the barrel, going up and out of the park to left. The Utah native has strength in the wrists and budding power.

Evan Hankins (2025, Bristol, VA) showed some of the best juice of the day, putting a couple high off the scoreboard in left field. The Tennessee commit looks the part of a big, strong first base bat.

Troy Ford showed a simple stroke in the box from both sides of the plate, showing looseness to his hands with some well struck contact from either side. There’s a nice combination of looseness and extension, along with feel for the barrel.

Benjamin Trey Gudoy (2025, Escondido, CA) showed looseness to hands while working to all fields on a line, peppering the ball back up the middle with some authority.

Alejandro Abreut (2025, Miami, FL) put a sweet left-handed swing on swing, creating nice separation and extension in his swing, impacting the baseball to the middle and pull side parts of the field.

Christian De Los Santos (2025, Miami, FL) is a physically imposing presence in the box and he put that strength on display with a couple of thunderbolts that jumped off of the barrel with impressive exit velocities.

Cash Strayer (2025, Tampa, FL) showed a loose left-handed stroke with leverage and separation in his swing, impacting the baseball to the pull side with some authority and jump coming off.

Ethin Bingaman (2025, Redlands, CA) was consistently on the barrel throughout his round of batting practice, showing consistent hard contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field with some big jump coming off.

Jake Hiromoto (2025, Mililani, HI) showed lots of quickness and fast hands in his right-handed swing, peppering baseballs to the pull side with steady hard contact and a shorter stroke through the zone.

Jadyn Nunez (2025, Miami, FL) has some real strength in his hands and he did a nice job of staying short and compact to the ball, generating impressive jump including one ball that hit off the very top of the wall in left field.

Jonathan Vazquez (2025, Miami Lakes, FL) and his left-handed swing were on display throughout his round of BP as he consistently got the barrel out front and created some hard contact to his pull side with carry and life coming off, ending with a long home run to his pull side.

Cal Johnson (2025, Tampa, FL) is an uncommitted switch-hitter who showed solid bat speed through the zone, especially so from the left side where he impacted the baseball with some real authority to his pull side.

Regan McCluskey (2025, Brentwood, TN) is a physically built backstop who knows how to use his strength in his right-handed swing, driving the ball to the middle and pull parts, creating leverage through the point of contact.

Gold vs. Gray Game Highlights

6/11/2023

Austin Dean (2025 LHP, Alexandria, VA) came out firing from the left side, running his fastball up to 89 mph on his first heater of the game while attacking hitters. He stands 6-foot-8 and is an intimidating presence on the mound while also mixing in a sharp, late biting slider in the upper-70s as well as a changeup in the low-80s.

Diego Josué Cruz (2025 SS, Carolina, PR) kicked off his showcase by promptly sending a single back up the middle in a left-on-left matchup before Manny Lantigua stepped up right-handed and hit a rocket right at the left fielder for a hard L7, registering 91 mph off of the bat.

Brock Silvers (2025 3B, Middleton, ID) continued to swing a hot stick this weekend, turning around a fastball for a 92 mph single into left field. He's a physical presence in the box and his combination of strength and bat speed is evident as he found yet another loud barrel to open game two. He also jumped on the mound and was up to 86 mph, making for a quick inning of work.

Braden Rosenthal (2025 RHP, Delray Beach, FL) is a strongly built right-hander who ran his fastball into the upper-80s (top 87 mph), creating some significant angle to the heater with a cross body release. He was able to create some weak contact off of the barrel while mixing in his off speed for strikes. He also picked up a knock through the 6-hole with a perfectly executed hit-and-run to help spark the Gold offense late in the game.

Linkin Garcia (2025 SS, Huntington Beach, CA) is one of the more physical players in this first group and he put his strength on display, sending a hard single back up the middle which registered at 96 mph which has been the hardest ball hit in game thus far.

Vaughn Coleman (2025 OF, Claremont, CA) kicked off the third inning for the Gold offense with a single of his own back up the middle, coming off at 92 mph before Quinn Carson picked up a knock to the left side to drive Coleman in.

Quinn Schambow (2025 C, Libertyville, IL) might not be listed as a primary pitcher, but he was impressive during his time on the mound. There's plenty of arm speed and strength as he topped out at 89 mph, though his curveball proved to be a difference maker in the upper-70s with 2700 spin rates.

Damian Montanez (2025 OF, Killeen, TX) put together a quality at-bat as he stayed on a breaking ball with two strikes and remained simple with his approach in picking up a single into left field.

Another day, another Trent Grindlinger (2025 C, Huntington Beach, CA) caught stealing from behind the plate as the uncommitted backstop was able to once again show off his arm strength with an absolute strike down to second base.

Cooper Flemming (2025 SS, Aliso Viejo, CA) was impressive on the mound in his lone inning, working comfortably I the mid-80s though there's plenty more int he tank. His curveball showed big spin rate metrics into the 2900s while turning over a quality changeup as well. He's currently uncommitted and shows real two-way potential.

Max Bettis (2025 RHP, Topeka, KS) is a strong 6-foot-6 right-hander who came out in full attack mode as sat comfortably at 90 mph and bumped a 91 with some serious downhill plane. He flashed a slider and changeup but worked off of his heater comfortably and projects for even more moving forward.

1- Black vs. 3- Green Game Highlights

6/11/2023

AJ Terry (2025, Randolph, NJ) ambushed a first pitch heater in the bottom of the third, sending it deep into the left centerfield gap, leaving the bat at 87 mph. The North Carolina commit is a very good all-around player with solid tools across the board. The swing is functional and the parts work.

Wells Twining (2025, Bethesda, MD) showed a ton to like on the bump, living 83-86 from a long and uber projectable 6-foot-6, 180-pounds. He paired it with a tight upper-70s slider that he had plenty of comfort spinning. The righty rounded out his three-pitch repertoire with a heavy fading changeup.

Kaden (KT) Thompson (2025, Flowery Branch, GA) shot a hard liner the other way on the first pitch of the fourth frame, settling for a double. The uncommitted left-handed stick has some real strength to the wrists and is capable of going to all field with authority. The power projects and he proved to be a good runner, recording a 6.80 60 yesterday.

Peter Visconti (2025, Gurnee, IL) showed good hitter traits. The backstop made a nice adjustment on a breaking ball, lagging the hands enough to shoot a line drive into center. The swing is hands oriented and simple with minimal wasted movement. Visconti also had a strong showing in workouts yesterday, recording a 1.91 pop time.

Landon Schaefer (2025, Fayetteville, AR) picked up a base knock in the second, grounding one sharply up the middle. The Arkansas commit possesses substantial power upside, and the bat speed stands out. He is also a talented defender and impressed during workouts in the dirt.
