Sunday Batting Practice Highlights

Matthew Ruiz (2020 OF, Hialeah, FL) has a very projectable 6-2/180 build and a very sound and nice right handed swing. He drove the ball from gap to gap with excellent raw bat speed that seemed to come with little effort and certainly no tension through contact.
Joseph Cruz (2020 C, Villalba, PR) hits out of a comfortable bent knee stance from the right side and has a nice and loose extended swing. He's relaxed at the plate and he let his bat speed do the talking, driving the ball regularly to the gaps.
Juan Montero (2020 C, Ponce, PR) has a big leg lift and coil to start his swing but it didn't seem to give him any timing problems in batting practice, as he created big right handed bat speed and crushed some balls to the pull side with big carry. At 5-10/173, he projects to get plenty stronger.
Nathan Espinal (2020 3B, Jupiter, FL) has some strength to add to his 6-0/165 build but he has a very easy and direct swing that seems sure to produce a high batting average in the future. He is able to create some barrel whip right now and found that barrel on almost every swing.
Miguel Torres (2020 C, Villalba, PR) was the third Puerto Rican catcher on the day's first team to stand out, using his very strong lower half to generate big power, lifting two balls off the left field fence on a morning where the ball wasn't carrying that direction at all.
Clayton Boroski (2021 RHP, Saint Cloud, FL) is a primary pitcher who has gained lots of strength in the last year and was up to 84 mph on the mound. He also used that strength very well from the right side to create bat speed with some nice lift in his swing out front.
Alex (Tito) Garcia (2020 3B, Fort Myers, FL) has an outstanding 6-3/205 build and creates excellent bat speed very easily from a very short and direct swing path, especially for a hitter his size. He has outstanding physical projection and a swing approach that looks like it might be patterned after the Padres Manny Machado.
Daniel Lavoy (2020 C, Homestead, FL) created nice bat speed from the right side with a very level line drive swing that was well timed and is going to create lots of solid line drive contact in the future.
Trey Rucker (2021 MIF, Boerne, TX) is a very strong and athletic sophomore with lightening quick hands from the right side. His big challenge moving forward is going to be working through the big hand hitch he uses to start his swing and can often leave him mistimed. He has the raw hitting tools to be among the top hitters in his class otherwise.
Zachary Showalter (2022 RHP, Wesley Chapel, FL) stood out on the mound but he also has prospect hitting tools, with an uphill power approach that drove the ball well in batting practice and enabled him to launch a game home run as well.
Ryan Oniel Cepero Roman (2021 SS, Arecibo, PR) is a very nice overall athlete with outstanding running speed and he showed promise with the bat as well. The young right handed hitter has advanced barrel skills, squaring up everything and getting more carry on balls than one would expect given his frame and age.
Jobeth Diaz (2020 1B, Fajardo, PR) is a 5-10/190 right handed hitter with one thing on his mind at the plate, which is to lift and pull the ball as far as he can. He has lots of strength driven bat speed and can give the ball a ride when he's on time.
Navy vs Red Game Highlights

Eduardo Rosado (2020 LHP, Caguas, PR) had a perfect day going 3-3 including a 2 RBI double that was smoked down the RF line. He hit the ball hard consistently and showed off his smooth, fluid swing.

Caleb Miller (2020 MIF, Altamonte Springs, FL) swings hard every AB and hit the ball hard consistently. He also impressed defensively showing good range and a smooth glove.
Nicholas Del Prado (2020 RHP, Miami, FL) had very good command and classic mechanics while on the bump today. He touched 90 MPH and had good down hill plane.
Wilfredo Maldonado (2020 OF, Bayamon, PR) displayed oppo field power with an RBI double to RCF. He also has a very strong arm in LF.

Zachary Showalter (2022 RHP, Wesley Chapel, FL) impressed offensively and on the mound in this game. Offensively, he crushed a HR to LF showing his power. On the mound, he threw 4 perfect innings not allowing a hit or run. His FB ranged from 82-86 MPH while mixing in a 73 MPH SL.
Doel Pina (2021 OF, Fajardo, PR) was 2-3 on the day and showed some speed on the bases. He showed great plate coverage and the ability to hit to all fields.
Jorge Pereira (2020 2B, Rio Grande, PR) is a very athletic player and proved it on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he made a few sliding plays at both SS and 3B and offensively he hit a hard GB back up the middle for a single as well as crushed a double to deep center.
Orange vs Royal Game Highlights

Christian Noel De Leon Ahorrio (2020 C, Arecibo, PR) turned on an inside pitch and pulled a double down the line. He has quick hands and a smooth swing.
Ian Brown (2020 RHP, Tampa, FL) threw 4 scoreless innings and only let up 1 hit. He struck out 5 and topped out at 82 MPH. He has a fluid delivery and good shape to his 12/6 CB.
Melvin Reyes (2020 RHP, Coamo, PR) showcased his quick arm in 4 innings of work. He struck out 7 utilizing his sinking CH that he sells well. His FB was up to 87 MPH and he's a very good athlete.
Tristan Moore (2020 LHP, St Thomas, VI) is an athletic lefty who didn't allow a run in 4 innings and only let up 1 hit. He was up to 84 MPH and got good down hill plane. He also mixed in a 73 MPH SL with solid bite.
Black vs Gray Game Highlights
5/19/2019
Thomas Bruss (2020 LHP, Stockton, CA) was 2-3 today including a ball that was hammered to RF for a triple. He also showed very good speed on the bases.
John Martin (2020 OF, Port Saint Lucie, FL) showed great range in LF making a diving catch going towards the line. He also smoked a double in his first AB of the game. He also threw well on the mound showcasing his clean, power arm. He has easy, repeatable mechanics and was up to 90 MPH.
Tilden Agee (2020 C, Tampa, FL) crushed an oppo triple to right center and showed off his speed. He is very smart on the bases and is a great athlete.
Dylon Bonini (2020 3B, Saint Cloud, FL) went 3-4 this game and got on base in every AB. He has raw power and proved it by mashing an RBI 3B off the LF wall.
Maroon vs Gold Game Highlights
5/19/2019
Juan Gonzalez (2020 C, Doral, FL) has a solid approach to all fields and went 2-4 on the day including a pull-side single and oppo double. He also plays very good defense at 3B and C.
Justin Dukes (2022 OF, Pembroke Pines, FL) is a very good runner and puts pressure on the defense with every GB. He had 2 infield hits and even showed his speed defensively as well.
Nathan Cmeyla (2020 C, Ashburn, VA) threw 2 scoreless innings, struck out 4, and was up to 86 MPH. He mixed in a 71 MPh CB and 74 MPH CH and had plus command for all 3 pitches. He also had good downhill plane and some ASR with FB.
Matthew Ruiz (2020 OF, Hialeah, FL) had a loud 2B in his first AB of the game. He is very aggressive and a great runner. He has a loose swing and simple set-up.
Peyton Jula (2019 RHP, Sarasota, FL) struck out 7 in 4 scoreless innings and was up to 86 MPH. He looks athletic on the mound and mixes in a power CB at 75 MPH. He attacks the zone and works very quick.
Green vs Columbia Blue Game Highlights

Carter McGonigal (2020 RHP, Sarasota, FL) made consistent hard contact and had 3 quality AB's. He had an 8 pitch AB that resulted in a LD single pull-side. He showed lots of hustle and aggressiveness.
Jace Rinehart (2021 C, Mannington, WV) was 2-3 in the game including a double that was crushed off the LF wall. He also had an RBI single that was hit hard up the middle. He played great defensively behind the plate as well.
Saturday Batting Practice Highlights
5/18/2019
Rafael Flores (2021 OF, Palmetto Bay, FL) has a compact 5-9/175 build and attacks the ball aggressively from the left side. He squared up almost everything and drove most balls hard to the pull side.
Connor Wilt (2021 3B, Lake Worth, FL) is another left handed hitter who takes an aggressive hack at the plate and turns his bat speed into pull side lift. He uses his lower half well to generate that bat speed and has the swing plane for a future power hitter.
Blake Gould (2020 RHP, Gurnee, IL) has good strength and used it well with a long and loose swing to square up the ball and consistently drive it hard to the gaps with carry.
Clay Kindiger (2021 RHP, Prosper, TX) is another primary pitcher with hitting tools. He had one of the simplest and most low effort swing approaches we saw all day and is very short to the ball for a big 6-4/215 athlete.
Noah Chance (2021 1B, Miramar, FL) has a big and strong 6-0/210 build and is another hitter who gets to his front side well with a power approach that uses his lower half strength well.
Tilden Agee (2020 C, Tampa, FL) has an old fashioned approach, with no batting gloves and choking up about an inch on the handle. He has has a short and strong swing that resulted in solid hard line drives all over the field.
Sean Bencosme (2020 SS, Pembroke Pines, FL) has a loose and projectable 6-2/175 build and a similarly loose and projectable swing. He has a busy load that impacts his timing but when everything comes together there is bat speed and lots of carry on the ball.
Steven Michael Medina (2021 SS, Miami, FL) is a switch-hitter but we liked him much better from the right side, where he had a completely different approach and significantly better bat speed than from the left side.
Nick Monile (2022 OF, Tampa, FL) is a 5-8/150 freshman but has present hitting tools that will just keep getting better. He takes a very aggressive left handed swing and squared up the ball hard consistently.
Keaton Kenworthy (2021 1B, Fort Myers, FL) has a surprisingly loose and athletic swing for a young 6-0/225 athlete and the right handed hitter has big time power potential moving forward.
Ryne Guida (2020 1B, Fort Lauderdale, FL) is probably the strongest player at the showcase and he certainly impacts the ball harder, including 98 mph in DK testing. He has hitter's hands and creates big bat speed and lift.
Juan Gonzalez (2020 C, Doral, FL) is a Venezuelan native with very good present strength and a swing that is short and direct to the ball. He crushed some balls up the alley.
Quinn Blackman (2020 OF, Moorestown, NJ) has a well schooled and very repeatable right handed swing and enough strength to drive the ball. He looks like a high average hitter in the future.
Peyton Carr (2020 3B, Fort Myers, FL) has a nice well proportioned 6-1/190 build and has a nice load that gets his lower half involved. His right handed swing is loose and extended and he drove the ball hard to all fields.
Maroon vs Green Game Highlights

Nathan Cmeyla (2020 C, Ashburn, VA) hit a deep oppo fly ball that almost went out but ended up with a double. He consistently found the barrel. He has a simple stroke and the ball jumps off his bat.
Hayden Kimball (2020 SS, Ocala, FL) went 2-3 in the game with single over the SS and doubled to straight away center. He has an advanced approach at the plate and is very patient.
Jonathan Ramallo (2020 OF, Miami, FL) was very aggressive at the plate going 2-3 including a double down the line. When he gets in the box he is looking to hit and finds the barrel consistently. He also looked good in his 1 inning on the mound as he touch 89 MPH and had lots of life to his FB. The ball jumps out of his hand and he filled the zone with FB's.
Ryne Guida (2020 1B, Fort Lauderdale, FL) is very strong and hit the ball hard consistently. He faced one of the best arms all day and got a GB single through the 5-6 hole. He has a great approach at the plate and ended up 2-2 on the day.
Branden Barna (2021 RHP, Merritt Island, FL) was up to 80 MPH today on the mound and recorded 8 K's in 4 innings. His FB has some sinking ASR to it and his 11/5 CB has good depth. His command was great all game and kept balls down in the zone.
Columbia Blue vs Black Game Highlights

Kainen Jorge (2021 OF, Miami, FL) crushed the first pitch he saw today for a HR to LF. He is a big, physical player with lots of power potential. He made loud contact consistently and can hit to all fields.
Jace Rinehart (2021 C, Mannington, WV) went 2-3 this game with a double and triple. His triple was smoked to left center field while his double was off the LF wall and knocked in 2 runs with it. He has raw power to go with his quick hands and plus speed.
Cody Carwile (2021 LHP, Fleming Island, FL) was up to 83 MPH on the mound today as he struck out 7 in 4 innings. He has smooth, easy, repeatable mechanics and gets good downhill plane on his FB. He also mixed in a 12/6 CB with lots of depth.
Gold vs Gray Game Highlights

Hal Turner (2020 1B, Acadia, FL) had an amazing game today showcasing his tall, physical build. He crushed every ball he hit including two pull-side doubles. He has quick bat speed and works counts well. He has a very mature approach at the plate.
Connor Manning (2021 RHP, Coral Springs, FL) struck out 7 in 4 innings of work and was up to 89 MPH. He is a big, athletic kid and gets extension. His FB has good sink and also flashes a nice SL at 79 MPH.
Tilden Agee (2020 C, Tampa, FL) looked very comfortable in the box today and is quick on the bases. He hit the ball hard in every AB including his single through the 5-6 hole.
Dylon Bonini (2020 3B, Saint Cloud, FL) has a big athletic frame and showcased his fluid swing making loud contact consistently. He was 2-4 today with 2 deep doubles to the warning track including one that was a ground rule double.
Gavin Cancio (2021 SS, Miami, FL) went 2-4 today with 2 hard hit singles. He can hit to all fields and has an advanced approach. He also showed very good bat speed.
Steven Michael Medina (2021 SS, Miami, FL) had a perfect game going 4-4 with 2 doubles. He has great pitch recognition and a fluid swing through the zone. He also had 3 stolen bases showing off his plus speed and aggressiveness on the bases.
Nick Monile (2022 OF, Tampa, FL) has an aggressive approach at the plate and is pull-side hitter. He showed off his quick hands and turned on a fastball for a double. He even did well defensively making a diving catch in CF.
Royal vs White Game Highlights
5/18/2019
Luis Morales (2020 SS, San Juan, PR) had a hard hit double in this game and can really hit well oppo. He has a smooth swing at the plate with a projectable build.
Tristan Moore (2020 LHP, St Thomas, VI) has a smooth, linear swing and made loud contact on his triple. He is very athletic and moves around the bases well. He hit the ball hard in every AB.
Freddie Martinez (2020 OF, Santa Isabel, PR) showcased his short, compact stroke and got the barrel around easily for an RBI double to pull-side. He has lots of pop and power potential.
Henry Nunez (2020 RHP, Guaynabo, PR) is a big, physical player and stands tall on the mound. He struck out 7 in 4 innings today by blowing his 88 MPH FB past hitters. He also mixed in a 70 MPH CB.
Jose Carlos Montanez (2020 C, Arroyo, PR) smoked a double to his pull-side just inside the bag. He showed quick hands and good bat speed.
Jean Marcos Montero Rodriguez (2020 2B, Santo Domingo, SD) showed very good bat control in this game with great bat speed. He made consistent contact as he was 2-3 with a double and single. He also has great instincts on the bases.
Carlos Vicente (2020 OF, Caguas, PR) had a great game today going 2-2 with a double and triple. He has gap to gap power and showed lots of pop. He has power potential and can really turn on the ball.
Red vs Purple Game Highlights
5/18/2019
Jadiel Martinez (2020 C, Winter Springs, FL) went 2-3 in the game including a first pitch single that was hit hard to opposite field. He showed an aggressive approach at the plate and was a tough out every time he stepped in the box.
Nolan Louis (2020 OF, Alachua, FL) showcased his open, relaxed stance and recorded 2 hits. He is aggressive at the plate and can hit to all fields.
Jordan Laing (2021 RHP, Brooksville, FL) struck out 6 in 4 innings of work today on the bump. He looks athletic on the mound and has a quick, loose arm. His FB was up to 85 MPH and he flashed a very solid 75 MPH SL.
Aris Gomez (2020 SS, Miramar, FL) has a fluid swing through the zone and sprays the field. He had 2 hits in the game including a line drive to opposite field and a hard hit single through the 5-6 hole.
Trey Rucker (2021 OF, Boerne, TX) has a very athletic build and consistently hit the ball hard. He showed great bat speed and made loud contact. He had a hard hit single over the SS's head.
Zachary Showalter (2022 RHP, Wesley Chapel, FL) is a big, physical player who hit the ball hard consistently and has power potential. He can work counts well and has quick hands.
Peter Yanes (2020 RHP, Bradenton, FL) has a quick arm on the mound and was able to rack up 6 K's in 4 innings. His FB has lots of life to it and topped out at 84 MPH. He also flashed a hard 12/6 CB that was 71 MPH.
Orange vs Navy Game Highlights

Jonathan Edward (2021 OF, Fort Myers, FL) recorded 2 hits in the game including a hard hit single back up the middle. He has a great approach at the plate and was able to make consistent contact.
Jordan Miller (2020 3B, Atlanta, GA) has a smooth, fluid swing and showed it in this game with 2 singles. He is a tall, athletic kid with power potential.
Andreas Mantz (2021 OF, Fort Myers, FL) also had 2 hits in the game including a double that was smoked over the CF's head. He also had a well hit single in the 5-6 hole. He is aggressive at the plate with quick hands.
Shadai Colon (2020 LHP, Río Grande, PR) struck out 10 and was up to 85 MPH on the mound today. He has plus command and rides his FB. He works both sides of the plate well showing plus pace and pitchability. He has easy, repeatable mechanics and mixed in a 66 MPH CB and 75 MPH CH.
Juan Montero (2020 C, Ponce, PR) crushed a triple to LCF that one-hopped the fence. He has gap to gap power and showed great speed on the bases. He hit the ball hard consistently this game.
Clayton Boroski (2021 RHP, Saint Cloud, FL) showcased his 3/4 arm slot on the mound and touched 84 MPH. He has good arm side run and very repeatable mechanics. He also mixed in a sharp slider that was 75 MPH and had late break.
