Diego Santiago is a 2020 C/1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Moca, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build with some lower half strength. 7.38 runner in the sixty. Has advanced actions behind the plate defensively, plenty of quickness in his lower half and in his transfer, gains ground well with his footwork, good arm strength with on line carry, repeats his fundamentals well and has worked on his defensive game. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a lift and replace load, has some hand quickness in getting the barrel into the zone and handled velocity well in games, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields with an accurate barrel. Excellent student.
