Javier Fuentes is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Fajardo, PR who attends Colegio Hector Urdaneta. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean frame with room to fill throughout. Recorded a 7.28 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, employs a free and easy delivery, leg lift up to belt, full arm action through the back working up to a three-quarters slot. Works quick on the mound, fastball showed arm-side run at times and topped out at 76 mph. Shows feel for an 11-to-5 curveball with sweeping finish down in the zone up to 62 mph. Flashed a feel for a straight changeup with some deception up to 71 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, shorter steps moving towards the ball, will continue to refine actions, short arm action and throws stays low and on target. Great student.
