2020 Florida Prospect Showcase
Carlos Cordero is a 2021 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Central Pointe Christian. Showed good speed with a 6.82 second 60 yard dash. A primary middle infielder showed good arm strength throwing 90 mph across the diamond. He displayed a level comfort fielding the ball in any direction with a quick first step and sure hands. In the outfield he showed a methodical approach to the ball with a long gather into a full arm action topping out at 88 mph with plenty of carry on the throws. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with a slightly open stance and a big leg lift trigger, he showcased solid bat speed with a 90 mph exit velocity and developing power that should come with add strength and more barrel accuracy. Named to the 2020 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospects List. Excellent student.
