7- Navy Vs. 11- Royal highlights

6/17/2018

Dylan Lesko (2022 RHP, Dacula, GA) sat 83-86mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 66mph and a changeup at 66mph as well. Lesko uses both sides of the plate with his fastball getting good extension on the mound with a quick arm action. He does a good job of mixing in his off-speed pitches with sharp break to his curveball. 

James Robert Lambert (2021 SS, Hoover, AL) had two singles in the game this afternoon. Lambert has a good athletic frame with a smooth swing and a contact approach at the plate. 

Andrew Henry (2019 1B, Statham, GA) singled twice in the game as well. Henry has a large frame with quick hands at the plate getting good extension and gets his barrel through the zone. 

Patrick Hollyhand (2019 C, Tuscaloosa, AL) tripled in his last at bat of the showcase today. Hollyhand has tons of pop in his bat with good bat control and showed bat speed. 

Zachary Garcia (2019 LHP/1B, Columbus, GA) singled twice as well in the game for the Navy team. Garcia has a patient approach at the plate with a nice easy swing and uses his lower half well. 

Cameron Vadnais (2019 SS, Sunrise, FL) had a two hit game for the Royal team today. Vadnais has lots of bat speed with good bat control and makes hard consistent contact at the plate.

Matt McNaney (2020 C, Albuquerque, NM) singled in his first and last at bat today. McNaney has good barrel control at the plate making hard contact all 4 times he came up to the plate today.

Devon McCall (2019 OF, Windermere, FL) had a good showing this afternoon at the plate including doubling in the game. McCall has very fast hands with good extension and is quick out of the box. 

Jake Bloss (2019 3B, Greensboro, NC) doubled twice this afternoon for the Royal team today. Bloss showed a fluid swing at the plate doing a good job of staying inside the ball and consistently barreling it up today.

Thomas Vickers (2019 LHP/OF, Smiths, AL) singled twice in his last game of the showcase. Vickers showed good hands at the plate with good use of his lower half and made hard contact all day. 


8- Orange Vs. 9- Purple highlights

Michael Blackwood (2020 SS, Lutz, FL) doubled and singled in his game this afternoon. Blackwood has a confident approach at the plate with pop in his bat and a good swing. 

William Forney (2019 LHP/1B, St Petersburg, FL) had two singles today for the Orange team today. Forney has a long frame with lift in his swing and made solid contact all day today. 

Jonah Leland (2020 SS, Pensacola, FL) tripled in the game for the Orange team today. Leland has an athletic build with good swing and has good speed on the bases.

John Leland (2019 OF, Pensacola, FL) singled in both his at bats today. Leland has a quick bat at the plate with a sound approach and makes consistent hard contact.

Dusty Mercer (2020 LHP, Matthews, NC) was 82-85mph on his fastball mixing in a curveball at 65mph. Mercer has a quick loose arm action mixing in his curveball for strikes keeping hitters off-balance.

Michael Ciminiello (2020 1B, Saint James, NY) singled in his two at bats for the Purple team today. Ciminello has a good fluid swing with bat speed and the ball jumps off his bat.

Will Clark (2019 OF/LHP, Cumming, GA) sat 82-85mph on his fastball pairing it with a curveball at 71mph. Clark has a quick loose arm action the ball comes out clean and he fills up the strike zone.

Phillip “ PJ” Ramsey (2020 OF, Phenix City, AL) had two hits today including tripling in his first at bat. Ramsey does a good job of staying inside the ball with bat speed and has a line drive swing plane. 

Ross Friedrick (2019 C, Alpharetta, GA) doubled in his last at bat of the showcase today. Friedrick has pop in his bat with a good swing and squared the ball up today.

Justin Doyle (2019 RHP, Spokane, WA) sat 82-86mph on his fastball mixing in a curveball at 64mph and a changeup at 74mph. Doyle has an easy arm action with a nice easy delivery. Doyle does a good job of missing barrels and keeping hitters off balance. 

Nathan Crissey (2019 SS/RHP, Land O Lakes, FL) had a good showing on the mound today. Crissey showed a good feel for the strike zone mixing in 3 pitches for strikes with his fastball topping out at 80mph, his curveball at 69mph and a his changeup at 70mph. 

Charles (Garrett) Overstreet (2019 SS, Douglas, GA) doubled and singled today for the Cardinal team. Overstreet does a good job of getting his hands through the zone has a line drive swing plane and consistently squared the ball up today. 

Jeffrey Cardazzone (2019 C, Davie, FL) singled twice in his last game for the Cardinal team today. Cardazzone has a line drive swing plane with bat speed and a confident approach at the plate. 

5- Green Vs. 10- Red highlights

Austin Reed (2020 SS, Buckner, KY) had 2 singles in his last game fo the day. Reed has contact approach at the plate with a line drive swing plane and hits the ball to all fields. 

Griffin Boykin (2019 2B, Jesup, GA) had a good showing at the plate this afternoon hitting the ball hard both times he came to the plate including doubling in his 1st at bat. Boykin has a short compact swing with lift and is a gap to gap hitter with pop.

Hunter Beindorff (2020 RHP/SS, Lone Tree, CO) had a good showing defensively at short stop today. Beindorff showed good range with a quick release and strong accurate throws across the infield. 

Beau Spears (2019 OF, Macon, GA) singled twice this morning for the red team. Spears has a solid athletic build with a good swing using his lower half well and showed good barrel control.


Joe Barrow (2019 RHP, Raleigh, NC) sat 82-84mph on his fastball mixing in a curveball at 74mph and a changeup at 79mph. Barrow throws a heavy fastball with good late sink and has good depth to his curveball. 

Matthew Upchurch (2019 LHP, Denver, NC) topped out at 84mph on his fastball pairing it with a curveball at 63mph and a slider at 70mph. Upchurch gets good extension on the mound with a nice repeatable delivery using his slider as an out pitch with late bite to it.

Blaine Marchman (2019 C, Loganville, GA) had 2 hits this morning including doubling in his first at bat today. Marchman has a fluid swing with a quick bat and the ball jumps off his bat. 

Michael Dupont (2019 C, North Palm Beach, FL) singled twice this morning for the Grey team. Dupont has a sound approach at the plate with a level swing and makes consistent hard contact. 

Austin Kenyon (2019 LHP, Wilmington, NC) had his fastball top out at 85mph today mixing in a curveball at 75mph. Kenyon showed good command of both pitches with run on his fastball and good spin and depth to his curveball.

Kelvaun Kennedy (2020 OF, Harvest, AL) doubled in his 3rd at bat of the day. Kennedy has an athletic build with a good swing and has good speed down the line.

Tyler Neely (2021 OF, Union City, GA) tripled in the game for the Col. Blue team today. Neeley has an athletic build with a fluid swing and consistently squares the ball up the play.

Will Grisack (2019 RHP, Tampa, FL) sat 85-87 topping out at 89mph on his fastball with his curveball at 74mph. Grisack has an arm that works well with good command of both his pitches and has tight spin to his curveball.

Jeffrey Cardazzone (2019 C, Davie, FL) doubled in his first at bat today. Cardazzone has lift in his swing with bat speed and pop in his bat. 

Austin Reed (2020 SS/RHP, Buckner, KY) topped out at 86mph this morning pairing it with a slider at 71mph and a changeup at 70mph. Reed pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with arm strength and has arm side run to his fastball. 

Batting Practice Highlights

6/16/2018

Tyler Neely (2021 OF, Union City, GA) had the most impressive round of the day with the most consistently barreled balls throughout. Neely showed a pure hitting stroke with driven balls all over the field from a swing with above average bat speed and slight lift in the path. The ball jumps off his barrel and he shows present strength with future above average power potential.

Hunter Vandiver (2019 C, Huntsville, AL) shows bat speed with a pull-side, power approach. Vandiver impacts the ball well and shows natural lift in his swing path with minimal weight transfer. Future power potential is present.

Cameron Wayt (2019 OF, Ashburn, VA) has present physical strength in the hands and wrists with above average bat speed. He has slight lift through contact and shows the ability to make the ball jump when centered in the barrel.

Matt Tyson (2019 C, Zolfo  Springs, FL) shows an aggressive pull-side power approach from an upright and narrow stance. Tyson looks to elevate with natural lift in his swing path and it is complimented with present bat speed and strength that impacts the ball hard consistently.

Jack Cooper (2019 SS, Edwardsvillle, IL) displayed a solid feel for laying the barrel on the ball with a flatter path through the zone and a middle-of-the-field line drive approach while showing a level of raw power in his swing.

Justin Doyle (2019 RHP, Spokane, WA) uses a leg lift trigger into solid weight transfer with a pull-side power approach at the plate. He displays present strength and a level of raw power in the bat.

Kellen Ward (2018 1B, Montgomery, AL) shows a feel for consistently hard barrel contact with above-average bat speed and a pull-side power approach. There is more power potential with the slight lift in his swing path.

Austin Kenyon (2019 LHP, Wilmington, NC) shows present strength and bat speed to the pull side with raw power that projects for more in the future. Power outweighs the hit tool presently because it is real.

Angel Gutierrez (2019 3B, Miami, FL) exhibits present strength and above average power potential in a swing that is highly rotational with lift through contact and is pull side dominant.

Carter Park (2019 RHP, Eads, TN) has a short swing with present feel for squaring the ball in the barrel with an up-the-middle approach at the plate. Makes consistent solid contact with future power potential.

Ross Friedrick (2019 C, Alpharetta, GA) has a slight weight shift into contact with present strength and bat speed. He displays pull side power and makes hard contact with his power outweighing his present hit tool.

Jack Tomich (2019 3B, Lithia, FL) hits from a wider base with plenty of bat speed to support his aggressive, power approach at the plate. He shows advanced feel for the barrel of the bat with present raw power.

Parker Boldt (2019 2B, Cumming, GA) has a fluid swing with slight lift through contact and shows a feel for centering the ball in the barrel. Boldt uses a middle, to pull side approach and impacts the ball with consistency.

Trey Cloud (2020 LHP, Lyons, GA) uses a flatter swing plane and line drive approach to generate consistently hard contact with bat speed and a knack for finding the barrel.

Will Clark (2019 OF, Cumming, GA) shows an above average hit tool presently with slight lift in the swing path with loose actions and rhythm. Clark displays power potential in the bat with added strength.

Justin Nam (2019 3B, Los Altos Hills, CA) showed strength and power through the gaps with bat speed and a pull-side power approach. The ball jumps off his barrel when centered with slight lift and backspin.

Keshav Narendra-Babu (2019 OF, Pembroke Pines, FL) uses a pull-side power approach, present strength and bat speed to impact balls with loud powerful contact. His present raw power is solid and he impacts balls hard in the barrel of the bat.

Dusty Mercer (2020 LHP, Matthews, NC) shows leverage and pull side power from a wide base with solid extension through contact. His present power outweighs his hit tool but has the skills to improve.

Manuel Lopez (2020 SS, Fort Wayne, IN) displayed a short and compact swing with feel for centering the ball in the barrel. He has a pure line drive approach and consistently finds the barrel of the bat.

Garret Cook (2019 OF, Plainfield, IL) consistently found the barrel of the bat from an upright and narrow stance, showing a short swing, with a pull side approach and slight lift in his swing path through contact.

 Michael Ciminiello (2020 1B, Saint James, NY) uses a wide base and a leg swing trigger to create leverage at contact with a power approach at the plate. He uses his lower half well with present strength.

 Kyle Chmielewski (2019 SS, McKinney, TX) uses a gap to gap approach at the plate with slight lift in his swing path and solid bat speed to create consistently hard contact on a line off the bat.

Andy Bean (2019 LHP, Fisherville, TN) displays solid weight transfer in his swing to generate solid bat speed. Even with a pull side approach, he is more of a consistent line drive hitter.

Griffin Boykin (2019 2B, Jesup, GA) displayed a line drive swing path with slight lift through contact with solid bat speed to compliment a middle-away approach at the plate.

Hunter Schwartz (2019 C, Germantown, TN) hits from an open stance with a wide base while showing a loose swing with pop in the bat. His pull power approach flashes present strength with bat speed.

 Michael Musser (2019 OF, Marietta, GA) uses a simple and compact swing to compliment a line drive approach at the plate. He showed the ability to barrel the ball well with solid timing at the plate.

 Jake Bloss (2019 3B, Greensboro, NC) utilizes a simple set up and line drive approach at the plate to show consistent feel for creating hard contact with slight lift through impact. He displays present strength and bat speed as well.

Maddux Smith (2022 LHP/OF, Myrtle Beach, SC) singled twice for the Red team today. Smith has a compact swing with a contact approach at the plate and has a good feel for the barrel. 

Jake Bloss (2019 3B, Greensboro, NC) doubled in his first at bat for the Royal team today. Bloss has a big strong build with pop in his bat and showed bat speed.

Garret Cook (2019 OF, Plainfield, IL) doubled this afternoon for the Purple team. Cook has very good bat speed squaring the ball up multiple times today and gets a good jump on the bases. 

Michael Ciminiello (2020 1B, Saint James, NY) singled and doubled in his teams game this afternoon. Ciminello has a good athletic frame with good barrel control and has quick hands.

Jack Ratliff (2019 RHP, Greensboro, NC) sat 82-86mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 71mph, a slider at 77mph and his changeup at 75mph. Ratliff showed good command of all his pitches with tight spin to his slider and good depth to his curveball.

Bryce Perrien (2019 OF, Birmingham, AL) singled twice this afternoon for the Orange team today. Perrien has a line drive swing plane with quick wrists and does a good job of getting his barrel through the zone.

Hunter Beindorff (2020 RHP/2B, Lone Tree, CO) doubled in his first at bat of his teams afternoon game today. Beindorff has a level swing with bat speed and centered the ball up in his first at bat. 

Harry Azadian (2019 RHP/1B, Westport, CT) showed well in the second 5 inning game today lining a single to left. Azadian has bat speed with a smooth swing. 

Tyler Neely (2021 OF, Union City, GA) singled in his only at bat of his teams second game today. Neeley has a confident approach at the plate with a good swing and shows good instincts on the bases. In the outfield Neeley showed off his arm throwing a guy out at home with a strong accurate throw.

Tayler Montiel (2021 LHP/1B, Brentwood, TN) showed well at the plate today. Montiel showed a good approach at the plate with a level swing plane centering the ball up in his first at bat for a single. 

Jimmy Rosengrant (2021 2B, Boiling Springs, SC) singled both times he came up today. Rosengrant showed a confident approach at the plate with bat speed and a smooth swing.

Dustin Noller (2020 RHP, Rock Hill, SC) had his fastball sitting 79-83mph mixing a curveball at 67mph and a slider at 67mph as well. Noller has an online balanced delivery with a nice clean arm action. Noller did a good job of commanding both sides of the plate with his fastball and has good bite to his curveball. 

Brandon Llewellyn (2020 SS, Colleyville, TX) had his fastball sitting 80-83mph on his fastball with his curveball at 68mph a slider at 70mph and a changeup at 70mph. Llewellyn pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with an online delivery and creates good downhill angle to his fastball. Llewellyn maintain his arm speed when throwing his changeup with sink to hit and his slider has tight spin and he is able to command it very well.  

7- Navy Vs. 6- Grey highlights

Zachary Long (2020 C, Fuquay Varina, NC) doubled and singled in this mornings games. Long has a sound approach at the plate with a line drive swing plane and has bat speed. 

Andrew Henry (2019 1B, Statham, GA) singled twice in the game for the Navy team today. Henry has pop in his bat with a level swing. 

Andrew Smith (2019 RHP, McDonough, GA) sat 82-85mph with his fastball today to go along with his curveball at 71mph and his changeup at 74mph. Smith has a long loose arm action with a repeatable delivery. His fastball has late running life to it and showed good a feel for his curveball. 

Tyler Christmas (2021 SS, Summerville, SC) had a 4 hit game this morning. Christmas has a confident approach at the plate with a line drive swing bat and showed bat speed. He showed his willingness to steal a base in the game as well.

Jon Wheeler (2019 2B, McDonough, GA) singled and doubled in the game for the Grey team. Wheeler has a level swing with bat speed and with a contact approach at the plate.

Domenic Popa (2020 OF, Pittsburgh, PA) singled twice in his game this morning. Popa has a strong build with a quick bat and hit line drives all over the field today.

Bryce Dunigan (2020 OF, Oviedo, FL) had a good showing at the plate today including doubling for the Grey team. Dunigan has a sound approach at the plate with good bat speed and the ball jumps off his bat.

Michael Boeke (2019 C, San Antonio, TX) had 2 singles this morning for the Green team today. Boeke does a good job of keeping his hands inside the ball making solid consistent at the plate with good bat speed. 

Brandon Schultz (2019 C, Mount Pleasant, SC) doubled in the game for the Gold team today. Schultz showed good bat speed at the plate with quick hands and squared the ball up. 

Trevor Kirk (2019 RHP, Wake Forest, NC) sat 84-87mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 72mph and a changeup at 78mph. Kirk has a balanced smooth delivery doing a good job of using his lower half. Kirk showed good command of his fastball using both sides of the plate and has good action to his curveball. 

Logan Martin (2019 RHP, Cartersville, GA) sat 80-83mph on his fastball with it topping out at 84mph to go along with a slider at 70mph. Martin has a deceptive delivery which allows the ball to get on hitters quick with a fast arm action. Martin did a good job of mixing in his pitches keeping hitters off-balance and throwing his pitches for strikes.

Zac Schultz (2020 LHP/1B, Parkland, FL) singled twice as well this morning. Schultz has a sound confident approach at the plate with a smooth swing. 

Harry Azadian (2019 RHP/1B, Westport, CT) singled and doubled in the game for the Black team today. Azadian has a compact swing with a good bat path and has pop in his bat. On the mound Azadian sat 79-83mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 68mph and his changeup at 65mph. Azadian pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot hiding the ball well in his delivery. He does a good job of working both sides of the plate for strikes and mixes in all 3 pitches to keep hitters off-balance. 

Matt Tyson (2019 C, Zolfo  Springs, FL) tripled in the game for the Cardinal team this morning. Tyson showed good speed out of the box with a line drive swing plane.

Christian Wylder (2019 RHP, College Park, GA) sat 82-86mph with his fastball today pairing it with a curveball at 70mph. Wylder does a good job of hiding the ball in his delivery with a smooth repeatable delivery. Wydler has a quick arm through extension, attacking the zone with his fastball and has depth to his curveball.
