Andrew Henry is a 2019 1B/OF with a 6-7 205 lb. frame from Statham, GA who attends North Oconee. Tall, long frame with present strength. Frame projects to support additoinal strength. Primary first baseman with clean footwork while working off the bag and centering the baseball. Funnels cleanly with soft hand out front and worked through exchange efficiently. Baseball came out of hand cleanly to both bags creating accurate, on line carry at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance and toe tap trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Hands stay compact to body at load and launch on a direct path to contact. Displayed present bat speed and strength at contact with employing a line drive barrel plane through extension. Generated sharp contact off the barrel with the ability to produce good carry to the gaps when on time and squared. Very good student as well.
