Kelvaun Kennedy is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Harvest, AL who attends Westminister Christian Academy. Long, athletic build with room to fill out. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Displayed smooth, athletic actions working to and through the baseball in the outfield. Flashed clean, confident glove actions fielding the ball to the side with quicker transfers into throws with developing arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 74 MPH from the outfield. Right handed hitter. Employs a narrow crouched stance with a high hand set up and linear shift into contact. Utilizes a gap to gap approach looking to drive the baseball to and through the gaps in the outfield. Displayed the ability to create good jump off the barrel to the pull side when on time and squared. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step into a belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound, landing online with the plate with a shorter stride and staying online through finish. Showed a compact arm action into a three-quarter arm slot at release with good arm speed. Flashed a fastball with occasional cut up to 73 MPH complemented with a 11/5 curveball with good depth creating some swing and miss. Excellent student.
