Matthew Stary (2017 SS, Houston, TX) took the best BP of the day, showing big bat speed and power from a surprisingly short and under control right handed swing. The 6-3/185 athlete is very projectable and should keep getting better.
Kyle Wilkerson (2018 C, Houston, TX) is a shorter athlete at 5-9/160 but he has present bat speed and a direct and strong path to the ball that gives him plenty of lift and pull power.
Garrett Wilkinson (2017 C, San Antonio, TX) isn't related to Kyle (above) that we know of but we know that everyone named Wilkerson at the event had hitting tools. Garrett showed his power and consistently drove the ball hard from gap to gap.
Everrett Harris (2017 MIF, Frisco, TX) is a quick twitch athlete with plenty of strength as well. He hits the ball hard to the middle of the field and will have more power in the future.
Hampton Hall (2017 OF, Flower Mound, TX) had the most impressive swing of the day, with the ball ending off going off the building well beyond the right field fence. His swing is impressively short and simple for someone with so much power.
Jacob Navejas (2018 C, Elgin, TX) is a big and strong but loose athlete for a 2018 and has a nice right handed swing that drove the ball hard from gap to gap.
Michael Villalon (2016 3B, Houston, TX) may end up on the mound at the next level with his very strong arm but he also has nice power in his bat, with a strong extended right handed swing.
Dalton Barcello (2017 SS, Houston, TX) is a polished right handed hitter with a simple and balanced swing approach. He's 6-0/155 and is already starting show some power and should keep improving as he gets stronger.
Easton "Bo" Willis (2019 C, Magnolia, TX) will need to eventually make some adjustments to his complicated load and shift but he impressed with his strength and present bat speed for 2019.
Nathan Collins (2017 SS, Alvin, TX) has some violence to his swing but he also has lots of right handed bat speed and squared the ball up frequently.
Thomas Larson (2017 OF, Joliet, IL) has a similar swing approach to Nathan Collins above in that there is plenty of effort in his approach but plenty of bat speed as well and big results when he squares it up.
Nathaniel Davis (2019 C, Spring, TX) had very good bat speed for a young catcher, with an aggressive pull approach from the right side.
Trevor Reed (2019 C, Cypress, TX) is another 2019 catcher from the Houston area who showed present strength and bat speed with the ability to make the ball jump off the barrel.
Justin Barnes (2019 RHP, Spring, TX) is a 2019 primary pitcher but may have and interesting future as a hitter as well. He had a very versatile swing that made hard contact to all fields and he seemed to recognize locations and make adjustments very easily.
Sy Snedeker (2017 C, Tulsa, OK) is the son of former minor league pitcher Sean Snedeker and one of our veteran scouts, who had actually coached the elder Snedeker, said that the son's swing was much better now than his dad's ever was, granting that dad was a pitcher. He has very quick hands and made solid line drive contact.
William Swope (2019 3B, Beaumont, TX) has some serious power for a 2019, with a tall 6-2/190 build that creates lots of leverage at contact.
Reed Beverly (2018 OF, Austin, TX) is a very good all around athlete and prospect who has quick hands and good bat speed at the plate, especially when he gets his lead leg down in time.
Alekzander Brown (2017 1B, McKinney, TX) is 6-4/240 and is some kind of strong. He's also a very good athlete with nice looseness in his swing and plenty of raw power.
Wesley Faison (2017 1B, Richmond, TX) is another very strong first baseman at 6-3/210 who has lift in his swing and showed the ability to time pitches and square the ball up consistently.
Phillip Sanchez (2016 2B, Houston, TX) is admirably relaxed in his approach, with simple see ball/hit ball mechanics and nice bat speed for a slender and projectable athlete.
