Reed Beverly is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 5-11 172 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Dripping Springs HS. Beverly has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. He attacks the ball well in the outfield has easy outfield actions. Beverly has clean transfers and release with arm strength up to 84 MPH. He gets some carry on his throws and he showed good outfield tools. At the plate Beverly starts with an open stance with a narrow base and upright set up. He uses a leg raise trigger to start his swing and has an aggressive approach. He has quick hands and generates bat speed. Beverly has some looseness to his swing and made solid middle of the field contact and the ball jumps. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He has a slight cross body delivery and explodes to the plate. He struggled spinning his curveball but there's a lot to like on the mound. Excellent student.
