2016 Sunshine South Showcase
Wesley Faison is a 2017 1B/3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends William B Travis HS. Faison has a large frame with a thick strong build. Defensively he showed solid actions at 1B and showed the ability to handle bad throws at 1B. He can make the picks and has nice hands. At the plate Faison starts with a slightly open stance with a wide base. He has a deeper hand load and an arm bar swing. Faison has a big uppercut to his swing and looks to do some damage at the plate. He looks to pull the baseball and gets top spin on the baseball. He squared the ball up well and it flew pretty well off his bat. Faison showed the ability to make in game adjustments and went to the opposite field in game action of the showcase. Excellent student.
