9-Purple vs. 10-Red Highlights

6/10/2018

Logan Rooney (2021 C, Chatham, NJ) made hard contact and got on base in both of his ABs and showed some pop driving a double deep to LF

Keagan Calero (2019 SS, Rochester, NH) had a great game at the plate collecting a double and triple, driving extra base hits to both sides of the field. Very athletic movements and got around the bases well.

Matthew Canizares (2021 OF, East Elmhurst, NY) showed off some pop, driving a double to LCF gap. 

10-Red vs. 11-Royal Highlights

6/10/2018

Lorenzo Repack (2020 OF, Columbus, NJ) used a short, compact swing with a pull side approach to collect a hit on a hard line drive in his only AB. Repack also recorded a stolen base and run scored.

James Nunez (2020 OF, East Elmhurst, NY) went 2 for 2 in the game showing athletic movements in his compact swing and using a good, up the middle approach.

Eric McKenna (2019 RHP, North Arlington, NJ) collected 2 hits in both his ABs showing an approach to all fields with two line drives to both sides of the field

9-Purple vs. 11-Royal Highlights

6/10/2018

Connor Coolahan (2019 SS, Medford, NJ) had a great day at the plate, driving two doubles to deep LCF in both of his ABs. Coolahan has a smooth, short swing with athletic movements.

Jabari Smith (2021 SS, Toronto, ON) collected 2 hits in his 2 plate appearances. Showed off his speed and awareness on the base path, collecting a stolen base that lead to a run scored.

Josuel Santos (2019 SS, Brooklyn, NY) crushed a ball to deep CF and displayed good speed around the bases turning it into a triple.

Liam McHale (2019 OF, Cary, NC) used a good opposite field approach and good swing plane to drive an an oppo double to LCF.

Eric McKenna (2019 RHP, North Arlington, NJ) had an effective start on the mound, going 3 shutout innings and striking out 5. McKenna ran his FB up to 84mph with good run and spotted well to both sides of the plate.

6- Grey Vs. 8- Orange highlights

6/10/2018

Elijah Olacio (2019 SS, Auburn, MA) had a home run in the game today for the Grey team. Olacio has pop in his bat with bat speed and squaring the ball up and driving it out to CF. 

Justen Martinez (2019 1B, Brooklyn, NY) had a Home Run in the game for the Grey team as well. Martinez has a strong build with bat speed and crushed his Home Run to LF.

Kavi Caster (2019 OF, Crofton, MD) singled and doubled in the game for the Orange team today. Caster has an aggressive approach at the plate with a line drive swing plane with bat speed.

Sean McGivern (2020 C, Stoughton, MA) had a Home Run in the game for the Orange team today. McGivern barreled up the the ball on his home run showing a good swing path.

Jack Kisela (2021 3B, Schwenksville, PA) singled and doubled in the game for the Orange team today. Kisela does a good job of hitting the ball where it's pitched with a level swing and a confident approach.

Patrick Defeciani (2019 LHP/1B, Congers, NY) singled and Homered in the game as well. Defeciani has an aggressive swing at the plate with bat speed centering up his no doubt Home Run to RF. 



2 - Cardinal vs. 3 Columbia Blue

Joe Biancone (2019 SS, Waccabuc, NY), Joe went 1-2 in today game. Biancone showed a level bat path and good athleticism on the base paths as well as in the infield. 

Giancarlo Cangro (2021 C, Matawan, NJ), Giancarlo tallied two hits in today's game. Cangro showed aggressiveness at the plate and good bat speed to compliment his hit to all fields approach.

Peter Gallo (2019 OF, Asbury, NJ), Gallo had a good day on the mound for the Columbia Blue team. Gallo went 2 innings with 5 strikeouts and 0 hits. Peter showed a developing Slider to accompany his mid 80's fastball. 

Game Highlights Green vs Navy

6/10/2018

Aidan Wallace (2020 OF, Clarence, NY) hammered a deep double to left field in his second at-bat of the day for a one-for-three day at the plate.

Tafton Hensley (2019 OF, Mooresville, NC) drove a deep triple to left field in his second at-bat of the day, showed elite level speed around the bases and scored a run on the day.

Cole Klein (2021 LHP, Elkins Park, PA) went one-for-two at the plate with a well hit double to left field showing an easy effort swing with leverage and extension through contact. Klein also worked three innings on the mound striking out seven without allowing a hit.

Carlos Torres (2019 RHP, Coamo, PR) worked two innings on the mound with four strikeouts. He has great size at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds and sat 87-90 mph topping at 91 with a true curveball with 11-to-5 shape at 72mph.

Ryan Chin (2020 OF, Manalapan, NJ) stroked two solid line drive doubles to left-centerfield in a two-for-four effort at the plate with a RBI.

 Jaden Mintz (2021 SS, Staten Island, NY) turned in a two-for-four day at the plate with a run scored on a pair of well hit singles and showed the ability to handle the bat to all fields.

Teague Hoover (2022 SS, Selinsgrove, PA) was one-for-four at the plate with a walk and scored a run. The hit was double laced deep to left field in his 3rd at-bat of the day.

 

Cardinal vs Columbia Blue Highlights

6/10/2018

Alexis Castillo (2020 OF, Bronx, NY) had a double in todays game. He has a lean athletic build and makes solid contact to all fields.

Brayden Foster (2021 3B, Mullica Hill, NJ) went 1-2 today with a single. He makes solid contact and squared up on the ball in both at bats today.

Joe Biancone (2019 SS, Waccabuc, NY) followed his strong pitching performance yesterday with a good day at the plate. He showed good bat speed with his single that he lined to left field.

Giancarlo Cangro (2021 C, Matawan, NJ) went 2-2 with 2 singles in todays game. He has a nice aggressive approach and goes with the pitch well. 

Peter Gallo (2019 OF, Asbury, NJ) pitched 2 no hit, shut out innings in relief today. His fastball topped at 87mph and he struck out 5 of the 6 batters he faced.

Game Highlights Black vs Gold

6/10/2018

Cameron Karicher (2019 SS, Annandale, VA) was impressive in three innings on the mound, throwing a fastball that sat 78-82 mph with downhill plane, an 11-to-5 shaped curveball and a sharp slider. He punched out 8 of the 10 batters he faced, including six straight at one point.

Peter Schimmel (2019 OF, Bethpage, NY) turned in a two-for-three day at the plate with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base. Both hits were well struck, the first a line drive double into the left-centerfield gap and the second a hard liner to left field to leadoff the sixth inning.

John Kowalczyk (2021 RHP, Chatham, NJ) collected two hits with a pair of ground ball singles in each of his first two at-bats and added a run scored from the leadoff spot in the order.

Blake McRae (2019 OF, Imlay City, MI) finished the day with two hits, including a double to left field in his second at-bat and also added a stolen base. He also made a stellar running over the shoulder catch in the outfield to rob extra bases from the hitter.

Cameron Mayer (2019 RHP, Syosset, NY) shows high projectability with a fastball that sits 82-85 mph with sink. He throws a slurvy ten-to-four shaped curveball that has tight spin as well as a fading changeup. He struck out four over three innings and faced just one over the minimum. 

8 - Orange vs. 7 - Navy

6/9/2018

Christopher Gendi (2019 RHP, Aberdeen, NJ), Christopher had a double down the line in today's matchup. Gendi also showed good speed on the base path with a stolen base.

Yuri O'Connor-Yokoyama (2019 LHP, Saint-Anne De Bellevue, QC), Yuri showed a clean delivery and gets downhill well. Feel for spinning curveball and slider. Retired all 9 he face, 5 by strikeout.

Bryan Rosario (2019 OF, East Elmhurst, NY), Bryan had 2 hits in todays game. Rosario also showed good speed on the base path with one stolen base.

Harry Padden (2019 SS, Elmer, NJ), Harry also had 2 hits today, his first hit was a RBI single in the left/center gap. Padden also had a double down the LF line.

Felix Labonte (2019 OF, Ile Perrot, QC), Felix showed a good approach at the plate with 2 singles with his 3 total plate appearances. 

Nick Famiglietti (2020 3B, Broadlands, VA), Nick showed pop at the plate with a double down the line in todays game.

Anthony Dadio (2021 RHP, Seymour, CT), Anthony also had a good day at the plate. Dadio's first at-bat he reached on a single. Anthony's next at-bat he showed power at the plate with a double over the CF's head. 

9-Purple Vs. 10- Red highlights

6/9/2018

Keagan Calero (2019 SS, Rochester, NH) showed well in the field and at the plate today. At the plate Calero showed a good swing with bat speed and has good instincts on the bases showing them off by stealing home. 

Graham Macneil (2020 3B/RHP, Whitby, ON) sat 81-83mph topping out at 84mph mixing in his curveball at 68mph. Macneil has a quick arm pitching from a high 3/4 arm slot locating his fastball well and has good depth to his curveball. 

Garrett Tyler (Ty) Johnson (2020 LHP/1B, Virginia Beach, VA) doubled in the second game as well. Johnson showed a level swing with bat speed. 

Hunter Zienowicz (2021 1B, Budd Lake, NJ) doubled in his game for the Purple team today. Zienowicz squared the ball up on his doubled with a level swing.

Jason Mark (2019 OF, Flushing, NY) tripled in his only at bat of the game. Mark has lots of bat speed with a good swing and gets his hands through the zone.

Vincent Versaci (2021 SS, Hillsborough, NJ) doubled for the Purple team as well today. Versaci handled a high fastball well for a double with pop in his bat.

5-Green vs. 6-Grey Highlights

6/9/2018

Cody Benton (2019 RHP, Cerro Gordo, NC) started the game off with 2 very strong innings on the mound, allowing 0 hits and striking out the side in each inning. Benton topped out at 90mph with an easy delivery and mixed in a hard biting slider for swing and misses.

Joseph Argenziano (2019 RHP, Closter, NJ) only allowed 1 hit in his 4 innings of work while striking out 4. He has a deceptive delivery and located his fastball well with a lot of movement. His slider was very effective having the ability to create a lot of swing and misses with late sweeping action and some depth.

Theodore Mouhlas (2021 LHP, Manhasset, NY) had a good day, both at the plate and on the mound. Mouhlas had quality ABs in all of his ABs making hard contact every at bat while collecting a double. On the mound, he threw 3 scoreless innings, allowing one 1 hit with 4 Ks.

Kyras Dawson (2019 OF, Silver Spring, MD) collected 2 hits at the plate and scored a run. Dawson showed good bat speed from his athletic frame along with good speed around the bases.



10 - Red vs. 11 - Royal

Josuel Santos (2019 SS, Brooklyn, NY), Hit a double in one of todays 5 inning games as well as 3 stolen bases. Josuel showed good bat speed and speed on the base path.

Lorenzo Repack (2020 OF, Columbus, NJ), Lorenzo had a double and a single in todays game. Lorenzo showed a level swing path as well as plus bat speed at the plate.

CJ Minchin (2019 OF, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ), CJ Tripled in todays match-up. Minchin showed good speed out of the box and power at the plate.

9- Purple Vs. 11- Royal highlights

6/9/2018

Jason Mark (2019 OF, Flushing, NY) had a double in one of the 5 inning games today. Mark has a line drive swing plane with a good swing and has pop in his bat. 

Garrett Tyler (Ty) Johnson (2020 LHP/C, Virginia Beach, VA) doubled in the game as well today for the Royal team. Johnson has a level swing and squared the ball up well. 



1-Black vs. 2-Cardinal Highlights

6/9/2018

Jude Zern (2021 LHP, Wyckoff, NJ) struck out 5 hitters in 3 quality innings of work. Zern used a solid 3 pitch mix to keep hitters off balance, while running his FB up to 83 with an easy, clean delivery. 

Taj Muhammad (2020 1B, Somerset, NJ) showed off his good bat speed and power, launching a home run deep to left field in his 2nd AB.

Hakim Salaam (2019 OF, Vineland, NJ) had a great all around game offensively. Going 2-3 at the plate including a double, while adding a stolen base and run scored. 

Shane Adamski (2020 OF, Deptford, NJ) used a pull side approach with a good swing path to collect 2 hits on the day.

Joe Biancone (2019 SS, Waccabuc, NY) was dominant in his two innings of work, allowing just one hit and striking out 5. Biancone showed a very quick arm running his FB up 92mph and got a lot of swings and misses with a sharp late, breaking curveball.


Sunshine Northeast BP Highlights

6/9/2018

Michael Rice (2021 OF, New York, NY): Rice showed some serious strength in his righthanded swing, especially considering his age. He showed good ability to get the barrel out and drive it to the pullside. 

Graham Macneil (2020 3B, Whitby, ON): A good-sized player, MacNeil took one of the better BP's of the day, showing the ability to drive the ball into the air and work deep to all fields. 

Jason Mark (2019 OF, Flushing, NY): Mark showed pretty clean hands through his launch and swing along with quality bat speed, driving the ball to the pullside with some consistency. 

Justin Larrea (2021 LHP, Queens, NY): Larrea's hands work very well through his swing with looseness and quickness, and he showed the ability to consistently get the barrel out and create loud contact. 

Garrett Tyler (Ty) Johnson (2020 LHP, Virginia Beach, VA): Johnson showed smoo
thness to his hands through his swing to go along with very good strength, driving the ball deep to pull side. 

Matthew Tempone (2019 C, Smithtown, NY): Tempone showed consistent barrel skills with strength at contact, driving the ball all over the ballpark on a rising line with the ability to stay balanced through his swing as well. 

Lorenzo Repack (2020 OF, Columbus, NJ): Repack does a very good job sinking into his hips and creating leverage off of his front side, shows good timing skills and did a good job of driving the ball on a line. 

CJ Minchin (2019 OF, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ): Michin showed easy barrel skills with a loose swing, doing a good job staying committed to the middle of the field and projecting for power with more strength. 

Keagan Calero (2019 SS, Rochester, NH): Calero took a good round of BP, showing the ability to work to all fields with a loose, easy swing while working up both gaps. 

Jonathan Santucci (2021 OF, Leominster, MA): Santucci's hands work well in his swing and he does an excellent job getting the barrel moving, showing a whole-field approach with some good pop to the pull side. 

Jake Renda (2021 RHP, Princeton, NJ): Renda showed some of the better power of the event, driving the ball into the air to the pull side and up the pull gap with good strength, consistently getting near or off of the wall. 

Kavi Caster (2019 OF, Crofton, MD): Caster showed some of the better raw bat speed in the entire event, consistently driving the ball to the pull side and attacking it out front. He's got highly projectable power. 

Hunter Rivera (2021 2B, Lawrenceville, NJ): Rivera showed loose hands with a clean, quick stroke through the zone, doing a good job of finding the barrel to all fields and projecting well for power. 

Gabriel Martinez (2019 C, Ile Perrot, QC): Martinez worked to all fields with a simple, compact stroke that results in firm, line drive contact. 

Tafton Hensley (2019 OF, Mooresville, NC): Hensley showed very quality present juice in his bat and projects for even more, showing good bat speed and overall quality hands. 

Cristian Perez (2019 C, Greenwich, CT): Perez showed very good strength in his swing when squared up, driving the ball on a rising line with the ability to work to all fields authoritatively. 

Alexander Gioia (2020 C, Mullica Hill, NJ): Gioia showed a very quality whole-field approach with a line drive stroke, consistently making firm contact to all fields. 

Jack Wunz (2021 OF, State College, PA): Wunz swings the bat hard with intent to do damage and was often successful doing so, consistently finding the barrel with authority and using all fields. 

Colby Brouillette (2019 C, St. Albans, VT): Brouillette showed excellent strength in his lefthanded swing, driving the ball up the gaps and showing pretty significant pullside pop as well. 

Peter Schimmel (2019 OF, Bethpage, NY): Schimmel stayed committed to the middle of the field with a line drive swing plane and showed the ability to barrel the ball up to all fields as well. 

Matthew Bedford (2020 SS, Staten Island, NY): Bedford showed pretty good barrel feel with hands that work, staying committed to his approach and working to all parts of the ballpark with authority. 

John Dantinne (2020 2B, Sewell, NJ): Dantinne got better as the round went on and once he found his timing, consistently showed good barrel skills on a line drive plane with the ability to work to all fields. 

Shane Adamski (2020 OF, Deptford, NJ): Adamski took a very consistent, professional round with good hands through the zone and consistent liners up the middle. 

Blake McRae (2019 OF, Imlay City, MI): McRae showed good smoothness to the barrel with strength and bat speed, consistently finding the barrel and showing good pop up the pullside gap as well. 

Alexander Diaz (2021 SS, Brooklyn, NY): Diaz's hands and lower half work well in swing, showing smoothness through stroke with good shift, wore out center field and both gaps with line drive jump off the bat. 

Stephen Harrington (2020 SS, Clark, NJ): Harrington showed good hitting tools with loose hands on a line drive plane, working back through the middle well and also showing good jump into the gaps. 

Peter Cortez (2022 1B, Monmouth Junction, NJ): Cortez sinks into his hips well and generates leverage in his swing, showing good hands and the ability to work to all fields on a line. 

Josuel Santos (2019 SS, Brooklyn, NY): Santos had one of the better rounds of the day, showing consistent ability to drive the ball into the air with authority, showing very good power to all fields. 

Michael Taylor (2020 1B, Basking Ridge, NJ): Taylor is one of the stronger players in attendance this weekend and that strength shows well in his swing, with the ability to drive the ball into the air with authority and very good power. 



Columbia Blue vs Gold Highlights

6/9/2018

Johnny Pilla (2022 MIF, Ridgewood, NJ) went 2-3 on the day with 2 runs scored. He keeps his hands in and has a contact approach. Showed good instincts on the bases.

Blake McRae (2019 OF, Imlay City, MI) had 2 singles in todays game and a run scored. He has good bat speed and makes consistent hard contact. He showed good speed on the basepaths.

William Cheatham (2018 1B, Brooklyn, NY) had a great day at the plate with a triple and a home run do dead center field. Shows good power to all fields. Goes with the pitch and makes solid barrel contact.

Michael Rothstein (2019 1B, Plainview, NY) went 2-3 today with a run scored. He has an aggressive approach with a level swing plane. He makes solid contact.

Alexis Castillo (2020 OF, Bronx, NY) showed good bat speed and power with a double that 1 hopped the wall today. He also singled in his last at bat.

Connor Staine (2019 RHP, Clinton, NJ) pitched 3 no hit, shut out innings in todays game. He has a low effort delivery and his fastball topped at 86 mph. He has a nice slider and uses a change for a quality out pitch.

Aidan O'Connor (2020 RHP, East Rockaway, NY) pitched 3 scoreless innings giving 1 hit while striking out 5. Curveball has good break and throws it for strikes. He is aggressive with his 79mph fastball and locates it well.
