Ryan Chin is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Manalapan, NJ who attends St. John Vianney. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.92 seconds. Shows quick, compact line drive swing when hitting, good bat speed there, middle-field approach with ability to work to all fields, good hands through swing, consistently laced line drives back through the middle, projects even better with strength. Worked out in the outfield, good fundamental footwork and hand actions, works through the ball well, showed good arm strength clocked up to 82 mph on throws. Also pitched, lengthy inline arm stroke through the back, gates hip before coming downhill, fastball worked 74-78 mph with good life, good feel to spin curveball with solid bite and depth, did a good job throwing strikes. Very good student.
