Gabriel Martinez is a 2020 C/OF with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Ile Perrot, QC who attends Ecole Secondaire Chene-Bleu. Recorded a 7.81 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame and build with a good amount of room to fill out and add strength. Primary catcher with a short arm stroke and accurate to the bag. Arm strength recorded up to 72 mph down to the bag. Simple mechanics and can improve with additional lower half usage. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Inside hand path to contact with a downhill swing plane. Can work gap to gap with intent and has an all fields approach. Flashed some bat speed through extension and has a very simple swing overall.
