Hunter Rivera is a 2021 2B/MIF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, NJ who attends Lawrence. Primary second baseman with a medium frame, slender build and shows room to fill out, 6.84 runner in the 60-yard dash. Moves easily in the infield with solid footwork to get into position to field. Shows soft hands with solid glove skills, short quick transfer with a full arm action through release, developing arm strength with accuracy. Hits from an upright, open and slightly wider based stance with a high hand set and elevated back elbow. Shows a leg lift trigger for timing with slight weight transfer into contact. Has lift in the swing with a pull side approach at the plate that looks to elevate the baseball, swing gets shorter to balls on the inner half and shows some looseness in his hands. There is level of consistency to his ability to barrel the ball, best contact through the middle on a line. Good student.
