Alex Crews (2020 SS, Chalmette, LA) has a wiry, athletic frame with good actions in the infield. He showed good versatility and crushed a hard hit double to left field.
Christopher Dickens (2019 3B, Wichita Falls, TX) was impressive on the mound as he showed good arm strength on the mound and as up to 84 mph. Dickens struck out four batters and did not allow a baserunner during his time. He showed good bat speed and strength as well.
Bo Hogeboom (2020 C, Argyle, TX) was up to 83 mph and showed interesting two-way potential. The fastball had late life to it and he threw a good number of strikes with quality pitchability.
Parker McDonough (2019 OF, Katy, TX) retired the side on strikes in his one inning of work using his 79-82 mph fastball. He showed good down angle on the fastball and commanded the zone well.
Ryan Blackwell (2020 C, Amarillo, TX) delivered a multi-hit game and worked well through the ball. He made consistent hard contact and showed a strong package.
5-Gold vs. 13-Maroon Highlights

Dalton Beck (2020 LHP, Frisco, TX) showed a quick, up tempo delivery with a good mix of pitches. The arm swing was full and loose with the fastball running up to 83 mph with a swing-and-miss curveball that showed late tilt.
Noah Thompson (2019 OF, Georgetown, TX) worked with a very deceptive delivery that included multiple moving parts. The fastball was in the 80-82 mph range and showed good run with a breaking ball that flashed a lot of movement.
Brayden Johnson (2019 OF, Longview, TX) displayed high-level arm talent and arm speed during the game. The fastball showed good arm side run while working up to 85 mph and the slider flashed late bite and was up to 71 mph.
Victor Jimenez (2019 C, Round Rock, TX) took advantage of a high fastball and deposited the pitch off the base of the left centerfield wall. Jimenez showed strong wrists to pull the ball well with projectable power.
Ty Mongo (2019 MIF, Lantana, TX) struck out six batters over his two innings of work. The fastball ran up to 80 mph and he worked in a breaking ball that showed 12/6 shape.
Davis Blake (2019 C, San Antonio, TX) took the second pitch of the inning deep over the fence in left field for a home run. Blake showed good lift in his swing with present bat speed as well.
Ethan Rosenberg (2019 C, Leander, TX) put together a good couple of at-bats on the day including a smoked ball to centerfield and a double later on. He showcased his athleticism with a stolen base later on.

Nick Crespo (2019 C, Alpine, TX) Crespo impressed while on the mound showing a heavy fastball that sat 80-82 miles per hour. Showed the command to work to each edge of the plate with fastball and completed 2 scoreless frames while allowing 1 hit.
Zack Swindell (2019 SS, Lubbock, TX) Fastball jumped out of Swindell's hand producing good run to arm side topping at 83 miles per hour. The 2019 grad aggressively attacked the strike zone early in counts before changing speeds with a 9/4 slider and sinking changeup. The Lubbock, TX native struck out 5 batters over 2 innings while allowing 1 hit.
Dominic Vicencio (2020 SS, El Paso, TX) Utilized an aggressive approach while at the plate driving the first pitching of the game to center field for a single. Vicencio creates solid extension through the zone on a level, line drive swing plane that helped produce 2 hits in 3 at-bats for the day.
Kade Adkins (2019 OF, Amarillo, TX) Adkins showed a compact, direct path to contact with good feel for the barrel. Consistently squared up contact throughout the day collecting 2 hits in 3 at-bats.
Austin Stracener (2021 SS, New Braunfels, TX) The 2021 grad shows very athletic actions defensively and at the plate, but impressed while on the mound today. Stracener flashed very good arm speed that produced a late running fastball that topped at 84 miles per hour. The New Braunfels native also flashed a sharp breaking ball that showed solid swing and miss potential.
Kyle Mann (2019 1B, The Woodlands, TX) Mann showed good barrel control at the plate driving a double to right center field on a pitch located to the outer half of the plate.

Andrew Wilk (2019 C, Austin, TX) has a muscular build and strong lower half. He was 1-for-2 at the plate including a solo homerun to left field with a swing that has some loft.
Peyton Sutherland (2021 SS, Allen, TX) showed solid defensive skills at short with lateral quickness and good actions. He added a hard hit single to center field and scored a run with good in game speed.
Brett Jetton (2020 OF, Richmond, TX) was 2-for-3 in the game and showed solid speed and opposite field pop with a triple in his final at bat. He tallied a stolen base and a RBI as well.
Tyler Huneycutt (2019 SS, Denton, TX) was 2-for-3 in the game with a run scored, including a hard hit double to left field. His barrel stays in the zone and he put together quality at-bats.

Jack Chester (2019 RHP, Piedmont, OK) faced the minimum over his three innings of work while using his 6-foot-4 frame to create good angle on his mid-80s fastball. He racked up six strikeouts and showed a quality 11/5 breaking ball.
Colton Castilaw (2019 RHP, Lufkin, TX) had seven strikeouts over three innings and worked a fastball up to 83 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. The breaking ball was quality with late break and tight spin.
Juan Olivarez (2021 1B, Houston, TX) has a strong an dphysical frame. The young prospect showed good athleticism and the power in his bat is absolutely to be monitored.
Braxton Hyde (2020 RHP, Liberal, KS) is a tall, athletic priospect with good strength in the swing. Hyde crushed a double off the left centerfield wall and showed good actions in the field.
Trevor Marek (2019 OF, Austin, TX) stands slightly open with a good, line drive-oriented approach. Marek is a good runner and knocked in multiple hits with a line drive double down the line.
Drew Durst (2020 3B, Frisco, TX) showed good strength through the point of contact with a double to right field. Durst is lanky and projectable with a wiry frame.

Creighton Hansen (2019 RHP, Grapevine, TX) The 2019 grad consistently pounded the strike zone with a heavy running fastball that topped at 85 miles per hour. Hansen also featured a sharp 12/6 breaking ball that induced many swings and misses. The right hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit, and struck out 3 over 3 innings of work.
Joseph Wolf (2019 LHP, Argyle, TX) Wolf showed good feel for all three pitches consistently keeping hitters off balance. The 2019 lefty primarily worked ahead early in counts and fanned 3 hitters over 3 innings of work.
Alec Grossman (2021 RHP, Austin, TX) The 2021 grad flashed electric arm speed reaching 84 miles per hour in his first inning of work. Grossman flashed the ability to spot up with his fastball before mixing in a sharp breaking ball. Grossman also showed good bat speed at the plate doubling down the left field line in his first at bat of the day.
William Robertson (2019 LHP, Austin, TX) Created good downhill angle to the plate from a high three-quarters arm slot topping at 81 miles per hour. Robertson showed good command with the fastball offering consistently locating to the outer edge of the plate. The 2019 grad also flashed good feel for the barrel collecting 2 hits in 3 at-bats.
Nick Crespo (2019 C, Alpine, TX) Crespo utilized a smooth, balanced swing plane that generated good extension through the baseball. Flashed ability to turn barrel to contact as well driving a double down the left field line in his first at-bat of the day.
Brett Jetton (2020 OF, Richmond, TX) The 2020 outfielder showed a level, line drive swing plane with the ability to manipulate the barrel through the zone. Jetton hammered a double to dead center field in his first at-bat and later scored.
5- Gold vs 6- Green

Cameron Thompson (2019 1B, Owasso, OK) was a bright spot offensively with a 2-for-3 day, including two doubles. The first was off the center field wall and the second was driven to the right-center field gap. He scored both of the runs for the 6- Green team and added a stolen base as well.
Cade Maclin (2020 RHP, Argyle, TX) was able to navigate 3 innings on the mound, allowing only 1 hit and punching out 5 batters. He utilizes a 3/4 arm slot and has a wiry build. His arm is quick and attacks the strike zone.
Coby Bolen (2020 LHP, Amarillo, TX) scattered 4 hits over 3 innings and allowed a single unearned run while striking out 6 batters. Throwing strikes and attacking hitters he showed a sharp, late biting breaking ball from a 3/4 arm slot.
Joshua McCrory (2019 2B, McKinney, TX) shined with a 3-for-3 day at the plate. With a solid approach that utilized the whole field, McCrory tallied a double, to go with 2 singles, a RBI and scored 2 runs.
Henry Cooper Huspen (2020 OF, Allen, TX) showed some pop with a deep home run to left field as part of a 2-for-3 day at the plate. He also singled and scored a run for 5- Gold.
South Underclass Batting Practice Highlights
8/5/2017
Dalton Beck (2020 LHP, Frisco, TX) has a projectable, physical build with broad shoulders and room to fill out. Beck has a big leg lift trigger which functions as a timing mechanism and helps align his lower half; he made consistent loud contact throughout the round which showed off his impressive feel for the barrel.
Cameron Thompson (2019 1B, Owasso, OK) showed a short stride to the ball with a quick trigger to enact the start of the swing. He launched a home run to the pull side and was at his best when he was able to drive through the ball using his lower half strength.
Kimble Schuessler (2020 C, Llano, TX) has a strong overall frame with well-proportioned strength throughout the build. The strength translates well into the swing and allowed him to hit multiple home runs. Schuessler created some whip with the barrel to go along with solid bat speed, which ultimately leads to a very projectable profile.
Nick Jordan (2019 2B, Midwest City, OK) did a nice job at creating consistent line drive contact. Jordan stood with a wide base at the plate and showed quickness to his hands which allowed him to get the top hand over well and drive batted balls up the middle and to the pull side.
John Luna (2019 MIF, Taft, TX) worked with a sound, contact-oriented approach. Luna showed good extension out in front through a wholly leveraged swing which projects for a good amount of power as he continues to develop and fill out.
Colton Castilaw (2019 RHP, Lufkin, TX) has an intriguing offensive profile as the primary arm sprayed line drives all over the field. The path to the ball is clean and direct and he showed a repeatable, lofted swing plane that worked to his advantage.
Bo Hogeboom (2020 C, Argyle, TX) displayed a solid offensive skill set with a good approach from both sides. Hogeboom's quality bat speed played well from both sides, however he stood out from the left side with a more direct hand path and showed good barrel control from both sides as well.
Brett Hedges (2019 2B, Highland Village, TX) has a very easy and repeatable swing which complements his torque and overall usage throughout the lower half. Hedges showed the ability to lift the ball well to all fields and displayed good hand speed and the ability to adjust based on pitch location.
Juan Olivarez (2021 1B, Houston, TX) has a massive amount of strength throughout the extra-large frame and that played well into his power profile. Olivarez has a fly ball-oriented approach with natural leverage throughout and crushed a couple of home runs during the round.
Nathan Norris (2020 2B, Frisco, TX) had his hands in a good launch position throughout and allowed him to take multiple pitches deep. The hands are very quick throughout the path and, with a small toe tap into his stride, remains on plane and repeats his swing well.
Rece Gustafson (2019 RHP, Rockwall, TX) has a high hand set and a high back elbow to go along with quality bat speed. He has a small hitch near the back of the swing which is utilized well as a timing mechanism and finishes well through the ball for a line drive result.
Bradley Mican (2019 3B, Cedar Park, TX) starts from a spread open stance with a short stride to the pitcher and a compact swing path. Mican has a direct path to the baseball with quickness to his hands and did an excellent job at driving liners to the middle and opposite fields.
Aubrey Morris IV (2019 1B, Fort Worth, TX) has a very physical frame with excellent strength through the point of contact. Morris has very active hands that create looseness through the swing and along with the bat speed make for a very intriguing power profile in his future.
Austin Stracener (2021 SS, New Braunfels, TX) did an excellent job at staying on plane and showed strong wrists and quality bat speed. The lefthanded hitter showed looseness to his hands and the path with some barrel whip as well. Stracener should continue to improve as he continues to grow and add strength.
Peyton Sutherland (2021 SS, Allen, TX) displayed sound bat speed with an even plane swing that flashed loft to the pull side of the field. Sutherland swings hard and turns well on inside pitches, all of which resulted in hard and consistent line drive contact.
Jonathan "Scout" Sanders (2019 OF, Whitesboro, TX) stands from a spread open stance at the plate and utilizes a quick, direct hand path to the baseball. Sanders has a pretty easy and repeatable overall swing and showed very interesting power potential as he flashed some pop.
Cameron Dayton (2019 LHP, Round Rock, TX) showed good bat speed and the ability to create barrel whip as he worked through his round. The swing was on a consistent line drive plane and although he wraps his hands from a medium hand set he gets it through the path on time.
Andres Martinez (2019 SS, Mission, TX) has a high hand set with a high back elbow and did a good job at impacting the ball hard out in front. Martinez showed good bat speed with natural loft in his swing and even drove a home run out deep to the pull side of the field.
Jordan Fay (2019 RHP, Waxahachie, TX) turned in a quality round as his physical, strong frame allowed him to impact the ball hard. Fay stayed on plane well and showed tremendous barrel control and strength as he smoked line drives all across the field and showed intriguing power potential as well.
Peyton Benesh (2020 SS, Austin, TX) put his barrel skills and fluidity of the swing on display. Benesh gets the swing quickly through the hitting zone and showed natural loft which allowed him to drive fly balls well to the pull side of the field.
Noah Thompson (2019 OF, Georgetown, TX) showed impressive bat speed throughout his swing and flashed big time power to the pull side. There is a controlled element of violence thorughout the swing which allows him to impact the ball hard to the pull side and resulted in a couple of home runs.
Andrew Hoegsberg (2020 C, Tomball, TX) displayed a very controlled and projectable swing that has all the foundational elements of a successful offensive profile. Hoegsberg showed consistent line drive contact to the pull side of the field and did a good job at creating torque and incorporating his lower half into the swing.

Jordan Fay (2019 RHP, Waxahachie, TX) pitched at 81-83 MPH topping at 85 MPH with his fastball. He has arm speed and has a balanced online delivery. He allowed 1 hit in 3 innings of work and showed tight rotation on his curveball at 71 MPH.
Matthew Malloy (2020 RHP, Carrollton, TX) swung the bat well collecting 2 hits on the game. He was aggressive at the plate and early in the count.
Tyran Norris (2020 OF, Pearland, TX) showed a balanced swing and showed good aggressiveness on the bases.

Brek Galbreath (2019 RHP, Joshua, TX) worked 3 innings without allowing a hit as a starter, showing solid control of three pitches. His fastball ranged between 79-84 mph, as well as curveball between 65-67 and a change at 70. Galbreath also contributed at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double to deep center field and a run scored.
Patrick Shearer (2019 RHP, Dallas, TX) punched out 7 hitters in 3 innings of work. With a loose arm and a high-3/4 arm slot, Shearer pounded the bottom of the zone with a fastball that topped at 86 mph. He also showcased a tight spinning breaking ball with depth and bite at 71-75 mph.
Michelle Artzberger (2019 LHP, Lawton, OK) worked from a 3/4 arm slot at 78-82 with the fastball. He struck out 5 batters in 3 innings of work.
