Andrew Hoegsberg is a 2020 C/RHP/3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Klein Cain. Ran a 7.39 second sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with medium frame and athletic build. Starts from a high stance with soft hands and easy receiving ability. Quick feet allow for a clean transition and a solid 1.94 second pop time. Has developing arm strength and accuracy with throws up to 75 miles per hour. Has a spread stance at the plate with a small leg lift trigger from the right side. Creates some present separation during load with a line drive barrel plane and a swing that stays long at times. Has a gap to gap approach, flashes some power to the pull side. Secondary right-handed pitcher with high leg lift that reaches above the belt into drop and drive actions down the mound. Has a fast arm from an over the top slot, creating some good down plane to the fastball at 78-81 miles per hour. Has some feel to spin a slider with late lateral movement at 68 miles per hour. Attacks the zone at the knees to get soft and early contact. Excellent student.
