6- Royal Vs. 8- White highlights

1/7/2018

Chris Conniff (2020 SS, Norco, CA) singled twice on the day for the White team. Conniff has a line drive swing plane with good bat speed and showed good instincts on the bases. 

Jalen Ringwood (2021, Bellflower, CA) singled in his first 2 at bats this morning. Ringwood has a confident approach at the plate with a short easy swing at the plate. 

Roy Jennings (2020 OF, Rio Rancho, NM) singled in both times up at the plate today. Jennings has a contact approach at the plate with an easy swing and has good speed on the bases. 

Joel Rubin (2020 RHP, Scottsdale, AZ) topped out at 84mph on his fastball mixing in his curveball at 73mph and his changeup at 73mph. Rubin has good arm side run to his fastball and showed the ability to throw his curveball for strikes consistently with depth to it. 



1- Gold Vs.4- Orange highlights

Mason Ashcraft (2020, Albuquerque New Mexico, NM) had a double for the Orange team this afternoon. Ashcraft has a line drive swing plane with bat speed and showed the ability to square the ball up at the plate. 

Michael Quinones (2019 C, Phoenix, AZ) had 2 singles in his last 2 at bats this morning. Quinones has a confident approach at the plate with a level swing. 

Matthew Schwarz (2019 SS, Greenacres, WA) singled twice this afternoon for the Gold. Schwarz has a good swing with a sound approach at the plate.

Griffin Henry (2020 SS, Lee's Summit, MO) had 2 singles in his first 2 at bats this afternoon. Henry squares the ball up consistently with bat speed. 

Braden Gluth (2019 RHP, Anthony, NM) sat 80-84mph on his fastball pairing it with his slider at 73mph. Gluth has good clean actions on the mound with a clean arm action pitching from a high 3/4 arm slot. Gluth has life to his fastball with good depth and tight spin to his slider which he uses as an out pitch. 


5- Red Vs. 7- Steel highlights

Mason Kokodynski (2019 OF, Scottsdale, AZ) has 2 hits on the day including doubling in his last at bat today. Kokodynski has a big strong frame with a quiet approach at the plate with a good swing and centers up on the ball.

Timothy Jordan (2019, Litchfield Park, AZ) tripled in the game for the Red team today. Jordan has a patient approach at the plate with a level swing. 

Rocco Peppi (2020 SS, Huntington Beach, CA) made solid contact both times up at the plate this afternoon including doubling in his first at bat. Peppi has a good swing with good extension at the plate and has bat speed. 

Jonah Burks (2020 OF, Phoenix, AZ) singled twice this morning for the Steel team today. Burks makes solid consistent contact at the plate with a good swing and has an easy approach.

Max Zdimal (2021 LHP, Scottsdale, AZ) topped out at 83mph on his fastball today mixing in his curveball at 65mph and his changeup at 74mph. Zdimal has a balanced online delivery with arm side run to his fastball and cut action to his changeup.

 


2-Maroon vs. 3-Gold Highlights

Braxton Bruschke (2019 LHP, Las Vegas, NV): Bruschke was in complete control in this game, consistently throwing strikes to all quadrants with a 77-81 mph fastball along with a solid curveball and developing changeup. He worked 4 innings, giving up only 2 hits and no runs while striking out 6 hitters along the way. 

Jorge Figueroa (2020 SS, Southlake, TX): Figueroa has hit at pretty much every Perfect Game event he's attended, and this event was no exception, as he lined a double down the left field line. He's got impressive bat speed and feel to hit for his age and continues to grow into more and more power. 

Isaac Kron (2018 OF, Denver, CO): Showed off his quick wrist and hands when hitting, lining a double down the pull field line from the left side against an arm side pitcher. He's got good projection remaining on his frame and the present bat speed necessary to project solid power in his future as well. 

Michael Bathauer (2019 C, Kingman, AZ): Bathauer showed very well in batting practice yesterday and continued to take good hacks in game, hitting a rope of a fly ball over the center fielder's head for a loud triple. He's got big strength in his body and that shows up in his swing in grand fashion. 

Cullen Moes (2019 1B, Ventura, CA): Picked up two doubles in this game, showing consistently loud barrel skills on pitches all over the strike zone with good strength and subsequent power to his game. 

Flynn Morrison (FA C/3B, Burwood East, VIC-AUS): The free agent Australian showed some quality bat speed and hand strength in this game, turning on a fastball inside and roping a liner double down the line, getting the head out on time and with authority. 

Isaac Parry (2019 C, Bountiful, UT): Parry showed good barrel control in this contest, picking up a couple base hits in his trips to the plate, working through the middle of the diamond consistently and showing good natural ability to put bat on ball. 

Garrett Broussard (2019 SS, San Juan Capistrano, CA):  Broussard is a position player first, and he showed those skills with a hard line drive base hit and quality athleticism. He then took the mound and showed serious arm speed, working his fastball up to 84 mph and flashing a sharp slider as well while working a quick inning. 

Brayden Sites (2020 SS, Sheridan, AR): Sites took a very good round of BP yesterday and continued his good swings in this game, showing off his bat speed and strength as he drove a ball on a rising line very deep to CF that was eventually run down for an out, but was impressive nonetheless. 

Batting Practice Highlights

Jalen Greer (2019 SS, Chicago, IL): Greer showed a loose, leveraged swing with impressive bat speed and present power that will only continue to get bigger as he adds strength to his frame. 

Griffin Henry (2020 SS, Lee's Summit, MO): Henry showed very good ability to shift into contact and maintain barrel control, he creates leverage with his long limbs and projects for big power as he matures. 

Brian Kalmer (2019 SS, Chandler, AZ): Kalmer took one of the louder rounds of the day, showing big time bat speed with real strength, leveraging the ball into the air and driving it to the pullside consistently with big carry. 

Ommar Jackson (2019 SS, Mansfield, TX): Jackson showed solid bat speed and overall barrel control from the right side with a clean path through the zone and some leverage, showing the ability to drive the ball into the air. 

Cobe Lehman (2019 C, Caldwell, ID): Lehman flashes the ability to drive the ball into the air up the middle to the pullside, using his impressive strength to get very good carry on the ball when squared up. 

Cade Malone (2019 3B, Albuquerque, NM): Malone showed some of the better barrel skills of the day, consistently driving the ball on a line to all fields with lots of jump off the bat. 

Peter Werth (2020 1B, Orange, CA): Werth showed a quick twitch stroke with very fast hands, consistently getting the barrel moving on plane and squaring the ball up out front, peppering all fields with liners. 

Brayden Sites (2020 SS, Sheridan, AR): Sites showed good looseness to his hands with advanced barrel control, moving the bat around the zone and doing a good job of squaring up the ball to all fields consistently. 

Jacob Police (2020 MIF, Prescott, AZ): Did a good job keeping his barrel on plane and in the zone for a good amount of time, shifting well into contact, and making line drive contact to all parts of the ballpark. 

Michael Bathauer (2019 C, Kingman, AZ): Bathauer showed solid overall feel for the barrel with some looseness to his swing, getting the barrel moving uphill and showing good strength and jump to middle and pull fields. 

Mason Ashcraft (2020 RHP, Albuquerque New Mexico, NM): Ashcraft's long limbs help him create leverage and his bat speed pairs well with that leverage, as he shows the ability to consistently drive the ball up both gaps.

Matthew Giles (2019 OF, El Paso, TX): Giles showed a consistently quick, compact stroke that produces well-struck line drives to all fields with projectable power. 

Kade Hancock (2019 OF, Salem, UT): A switch hitter, Hancock showed good barrel skills with bat speed and balance from both sides, with real pull side juice from the left side as well. 

Ryon Padayao (2019 3B, Santa Ana, CA): Padayao really attacks the ball out front with intent and bat speed, consistently driving the ball into the air and showing big HR power to the pull side. 

Ryan Curran (2019 OF, Albuquerque, NM): Curran showed a consistently strong pullside approach, catching the ball out front and on time while showing solid pop as well. 

Julian Molto-Herrera (2021 SS, Las Vegas, NV): Showed very good bat speed with intent to do damage, able to work to all fields but likes to pull the ball in the air and has present HR pop to pull side. 

Rocco Peppi (2020 SS, Huntington Beach, CA): Peppi has a loose and easy swing with plenty of bat speed, showing a line drive path with slight lift, doing consistent damage to the pull side. 

Mason Kokodynski (2019 OF, Scottsdale, AZ): Kokodynski generates excellent leverage and strength through his swing with quality bat speed, driving the ball up both gaps with quality carry. 

Ryan Webster (2020 3B, Las Vegas, NV): Webster swings the bat hard with intent to do damage and showed the ability to elevate with authority, and will have legitimate power as he continues to get stronger. 

Shane Anderson (2020 SS, Chandler, AZ): Anderson showed good looseness to his hands when whipping the barrel through the zone on a line drive plane, driving the ball on a line pretty consistently.

Chris Conniff (2020 SS, Norco, CA): Conniff does a good job shifting into contact and keeping his stroke compact with a whole-field approach, consistently barreling the ball up on a line. 

Ross Dunn (2020 LHP, Salt Lake City, UT): Dunn shows legitimate power to the pull side with good bat speed and leverage to go along with his natural strength. 

7- Steel Vs. 8- White highlights

1/6/2018

Kyle Conway (2019 RHP, Gilbert, AZ) sat 80-85mph on his fastball today mixing in his curveball at 72mph. Conway pitches with an up-tempo delivery doing a good job of maintaining his velocity and has sharp break to his curveball. At the plate Conway smoked a double in his last at bat. Conway showed an ability to square the ball up with a level swing. 

Ross Dunn (2020 LHP, Salt Lake City, UT) topped out at 87mph on his fastball with his slider at 78mph and his changeup at 74mph. Dunn has an easy delivery mixing in all 3 of his pitches for strikes. Dunn has a tight spinning slider with good break, with a heavy fastball and has good diving action to his changeup. 

Aaron Oropeza (2021 C, El Paso, TX) singled in his last 2 at bats this afternoon. Oropeza has a level swing with a simple approach at the plate and makes consistent contact.

 





5- Red Vs. 6- Royal highlights

1/6/2018

Roy Jennings (2020 OF, Rio Rancho, NM) singled twice on the day today. Jennings has a patient approach with a good eye at the plate with a quick bat through the zone. 

Jett Kliber (2019, Scottsdale, AZ) singled twice as well today. Kliber has a line drive swing plane with a sound approach at the plate with bat speed. 

Timothy Jordan (2019, Litchfield Park, AZ) doubled in his first at bat today. Jordan is aggressive at the plate with pop in his bat and showed a good feel for the barrel. 

Jacob Liquori (2019 OF, San Jose, CA) had 2 hits in the game for the Red team today tripling in his first at bat. Liquori has a quick bat through the zone with good instincts and speed on the bases.

 Thomas Napolitano (2020 C, Scottsdale, AZ) had 2 singles this afternoon. Napolitano barreled the ball up for 2 line drives singles with bat speed and hits the ball where its pitched.  

Game Highlights 3-Navy vs 4-Orange

1/6/2018

Ildefonso Ruiz (2020 C, Tijuana, BN) showed impressive in game barrel to ball skills with power. He collected a double to right-centerfield and a triple to deep straight-away centerfield showing present strength to go with good bat speed and scored two runs. 

Peter Werth (2020 1B, Orange, CA) collected two doubles at the plate and scored a pair of runs. With a primarily pull side approach, Werth pounded his second double to the deepest part of left-centerfield while displaying good bat speed. 

Jorge Figueroa (2020 SS, Southlake, TX) made two really nice defensive plays in the field at shortstop and had two hits at the plate, including a double deep down the left field line in his first at-bat of the day and added a run scored as well.

 Matthew Giles (2019 OF, El Paso, TX) had a double and scored two runs on the day. He showed good footwork and actions at shortstop and a dependable and accurate arm. 

Braden Gluth (2019 RHP, Anthony, NM) was 1-for-3 at the plate with a double down the left field line. With a solid line-drive approach at the plate and a level swing he showed the ability to drive the ball with the barrel of the bat. 

Isaac Parry (2019 C, Bountiful, UT) was 1-for-2 at the plate with a deep double off the left-centerfield wall, while displaying a good present level of strength and bat speed.

Matthew Bathauer (2019 LHP, Kingman, AZ) punched out five batters in three innings of work without allowing a hit. With an aggressive fastball and combining his curveball and slider to keep hitters off balance throughout the outing, Bathauer was impressive with his ability to pitch.

Ethan Bergstrom (2019 2B, Salem, UT) had 2 hits in the game including doubling today. Bergstrom has a line drive swing plane and consistently squared the ball up during the game. 

Jalen Greer (2019 SS, Chicago, IL) made hard contact at the plate all day today. Greer has lots of bat speed with a level swing and consistently squared the ball up at the plate today.
