Braxton Bruschke is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Spring Valley. Large frame with slender, highly projectable build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, delivery is reminiscent of Daniel Norris, creates very good angles to the plate, stays balanced through delivery though there is some effort at release, fastball worked 77-82 mph with very good ability to control inside part of the plate. Worked fastball and curveball to both sides of the plate, curveball showed 1/7 shape with good depth, did a very good job of changing eye levels and mixing three pitches to good effect. Good upside on the mound. Hits from open stance with good balance, line drive swing plane, shows some pop to the pullside when squared up. Worked out at 1st base, showed solid footwork to both sides, arm strength clocked up to 78 mph across the diamond. Very good student, named to 2018 National Underclass West Top Prospect List.
