Ommar Jackson is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Mansfield. Medium frame with highly athletic, twitchy build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.69 seconds. Switch-hitter, shifts early and pushes hands from left side onto inside-out path, shows whole-field approach with ability to make contact. Much better from right side, shows very good bat speed with a leveraged swing path, drives the ball on a rising line to pull side, intriguing hitting tools overall. Primary infielder, advanced hands and overall glove work out front, very athletic footwork to and through the ball, showed quality arm strength across the diamond clocked up to 84 mph. Also took outfield and reps and showed very well, very good first step quickness with athleticism on charge and balance throughout, clocked up to 89 mph on throws. Named to 2018 National Underclass West Top Prospect List, very good student.
