2019 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Graysen Tarlow is a 2020 3B/C, MIF, IF, OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Orange Lutheran. Medium, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, some bent at waist, works on top of throws, comes through the backhand nicely and repeats actions, quickness to arm with a shorter arm stroke, shows accuracy across the diamond. Similar tight arm action from behind the plate, receives the ball out front, quick transfer and release, gains some ground with lower half and shows accuracy to second base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing and loads hands at start of swing. Long swing path through the zone but remains direct to the ball and shows quickness to hands. Swung the bat well in live action, shows a handle for the barrel and remains on time in the box, looks to lift at the point of contact, occasionally gets to front side early with weight shift, works the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort. Very good student. Named to the West Coast Top Prospect List.
