2019 Top Prospects

Colby Thomas  OF - 2019 - Valdosta, GA
Mercer

Thomas showed outstanding bat speed in batting practice, lining hard rockets all over the field, although he didn't show the lift he has in games this spring. He also graded out as one of the best outfielders in drills.

Julian Brock  C - 2019 - Fulshear, TX
Louisiana-Lafayette

Brock has an impressive collection of both offensive and defensive tools. His right handed power stood out, as he slammed a home run, triple and double in the games and he threw 80 mph in drills with a 1.84 pop time.

Dylan Savino  RHP - 2019 - Westlake Hills, TX
Stephen F. Austin/Howard College

With fairly impressive offspeed and loud tools as a position player, Savino had a very strong showing highlighted by his 6.78 second 60-yard dash time and 93 mph arm from the outfield. His biggest contributions came from the mound, his primary position, where he worked up to 89 mph with significant arm speed and a curveball for strikes.

Benjamin Greer  OF - 2019 - Pearland, TX
Abilene Christian/San Jacinto CC

Greer pretty much did everything you would want to see at a showcase, including showing a big arm at multiple positions, posting a 6.7 sixty time and showing his bat speed and power potential from both sides of the plate. He's a high ceiling talent.

Jack Granack  RHP - 2019 - Spring, TX
St. Edward’s

Granack pitched at 86-89 MPH touching 90 MPH with his fastball once. He has a clean delivery and located his fastball well. He also threw an 11/5 curveball at 71 MPH with some shape and depth to it for strikes. Granack also threw his change up for strikes at 78 MPH.

Caeden Trenkle  OF - 2019 - Hillsboro, TX
Oklahoma State

Trenkle has a well rounded set of tools, including 6.8 speed and a strong left handed arm that enabled him to throw 85 mph off the mound. His best tool was his left handed bat speed and he consistently hit the ball very hard and with outstanding carry.

Luke Roden  OF - 2019 - Keller, TX
Howard College

Roden is a quick twitch left handed hitting outfielder who ran a 6.65 sixty and had solid defensive actions and footwork. He really showed well with his bat, where he has a fast and short swing that promises lots of hard contact and some gap power.

Easton "Bo" Willis  C - 2019 - Magnolia, TX
Texas Tech

Willis is a Texas Tech commit who has outstanding physical strength in all his actions and a very simple and usable set of fundamental actions both in the batters box on offense and behind the plate on defense.

James Grantland  LHP - 2019 - Port Lavaca, TX
San Jacinto CC

Grantland has a very athletic 6-2/195 body and lots of athleticism. He ran a 6.96 sixty and shows a strong arm from the outfield and the mound, where he was up to 85 mph. The left hander's best tool is his bat speed and ability to consistently impact the ball hard, with projectable power.

Cole Pulpan  OF - 2019 - Hockley, TX
Angelo State

Pulpan has a loose and projectable 6-2/185 build and plenty of present athleticism. He showed very good right handed bat speed with the ability to drive the ball hard to all fields and had a couple of game extra base hits. He's a 6.76 runner with an accurate and strong outfield throwing arm.

Connor Beichler  SS - 2019 - Owasso, OK
Oklahoma

Beichler ran the fastest sixty at the event at 6.42 and used his blazing speed to make a number of highlight reel defensive plays in the outfield in the games. He's a switch-hitter with next level bat speed from the right side of the plate.

Brody Logsdon  OF - 2019 - Huffman, TX
Sam Houston State

Logsdon is a phenomenal athlete with 6.53 speed and a 90 mph throwing arm from the outfield, all on a strong 6-7/210 frame. He has big right handed power with an uphill swing approach if he learns to make enough solid contactto use it. He was also up to 88 mph on the mound from a low effort delivery.

Hambleton Oliver  RHP - 2019 - Corpus Christi, TX
Baylor

Oliver pitched well at 86-88 MPH with a quick arm action. He located his fastball well and was aggressive in the strike zone with it. He flashed a good curve ball with tight spin and bite to it at 76 MPH and threw it for strikes.

Daunte Stuart  SS - 2019 - The Woodlands, TX
Northwestern State

Stuart is a high level athlete who has a long future in the game if his skills are able to catch up to his tools. He's a 6.83 runner with big infield arm strength and quick feet at shortstop on defense and big right handed power at the plate.

Wyatt Young  OF - 2019 - Houston, TX
Oregon State

Young has solid run (6.86) and defensive tools at third base but where he really stood out was with his right handed bat. He crushed a no doubt home run in one game and picked up triple the other game when he turned hard on an inside fastball and drove it.

Bryce Yosko  SS - 2019 - Spring, TX
Stephen F. Austin/Northeast Texas CC

Yosko has plenty of effort and energy to his game but there are plenty of tools there, too. He has big infield arm strength and a strong right handed swing that generates hard line drives to the pull side. He also pitched and topped at 88 MPH with his fastball from a high energy delivery.

Nick Ferazzi  RHP - 2019 - Houston, TX

Ferrazi has a young and projectable 6-0/160 build and a well controlled delivery with a low effort release out front. He worked up to 88 mph with his fastball, with more there as he matures physically, but the key to his future development will be continuing to improve his slider and change up.

Stone Simmons  RHP - 2019 - Houston, TX
Mississippi State

Simmons showed some of the best life on his fastball in the event with lots of sink and run on his fastball that topped out at 87 mph. Simmons has a very deception delivery and loose arm stroke with the slider functioning as a legitimate second pitch with short tilt and bite to it.

Matt Haley  LHP - 2019 - Crowley, TX
New Mexico

Haley has a very slender and projectable 6-2/170 build and a fast left arm that produces a mid 80's fastball with good angle from a high 3/4's arm slot. He also showed feel and some spin for both a curveball and slider that will continue to develop.

Thomas "Ben" Schoneman IV  RHP - 2019 - Albuquerque, NM
Uncommitted

Schoneman was extremely impressive over his stint on the mound, touching 86 mph with plenty of run to both sides and not throwing a fastball below 83 mph. The breaking ball showed late action to it when thrown hard, but showed a projectable three-pitch mix that missed plenty of bats both within and outside of the strike zone.

Easton Turnage  RHP - 2019 - Granbury, TX
Tarleton State

Turnage has a loose and projectable 6-1/175 build and a fast right arm that produced a fastball that touched 85-86 mph frequently through his three inning outing and promises more in the future. He also showed a promising curveball and change up that will keep improving.

Devon Patel  RHP - 2019 - Spring, TX
Rutgers

Patel pitched at 82-85 MPH with a loose easy arm action that projects for more velocity. The ball comes out of his hand clean and everything works in his delivery. He flashed a curve ball at 70 MPH with shape and some depth.

Tyrone Tubbs  RHP - 2019 - New Orleans, LA
Prairie View A&M

Tubbs is a nice all around athlete with present strength and a number of projectable tools. He is a switch-hitter with lots of right handed bat speed and power potential and also impressed with his defense at first base and his lively 83 mph fastball on the mound.

Mackenson Bobo  RHP - 2019 - Longview, TX
Uncommitted

Bobo is undersized at 5-8/155 but he is a very good, live-bodied athlete with lots of tools. He filled up the zone with a mid-80's fastball and an effective curveball combination and shows feel for pitching. He's also an excellent outfielder with plus speed on the bases.

Otto Wofford  SS - 2019 - Fredonia, TX

Wofford is a primary shortstop but his future may be on the mound. He pitched at 84-86 MPH with a loose quick arm action. He creates some hip/shoulder separation and the velocity projects. Wofford threw an 11/5 curveball with some bite to it for strikes.

Billy Decker  3B - 2019 - The Woodlands, TX
Stephen F. Austin

Decker has a big and strong 6-2/190 build and a simple and professional right handed swing that is short and strong and enables him to drive the ball hard to all parts of the field.

Logan Leax  OF - 2019 - Montgomery, TX
George Washington

Leax was one of the best outfielder's at the event, with very good actions and fundamentals to go with a strong and accurate arm and 6.65 speed. He has a solid line drive approach from the right side and will keep improving offensively as he gains more strength.

Jared Silva  RHP - 2019 - Houston, TX

Silva is 6-2/173 primary outfielder with good overall athleticism and very good outfield tools and skills defensively but his future might be on the mound. He worked his fastball in the 83-85 mph range with more there in the future, but his best pitch was a very tight and hard spinning curveball.

Kyte McDonald  OF - 2019 - San Antonio, TX
Mississippi State

McDonald has a very good tool in his 6.49 running speed and a solid tool in his right handed bat. He's a mature and polished hitter with a solid approach and a short and direct swing driven by quick and strong hands.

Hayden Tallman  LHP - 2019 - Owasso, OK
Central Oklahoma

Tallman has a nice 6-2/195 build with a well balanced on line delivery that enables him to throw plenty of strikes with all of his three pitches. He topped out at 85 mph with good shape and spin on his low 70's curveball.


2020 Top Prospects

Drew Woodcox  SS - 2020 - Houston, TX
Texas Tech

Woodcox is a polished performer at shortstop with plenty of tools and an advanced internal baseball clock for making plays on time. He was very impressive at the plate as well, including picking up a couple of hard hit singles and a home run on Sunday.

Ravaughn Morgan  OF - 2020 - Pflugerville, TX
McLennan CC

Morgan is a long and very projectable 6-3/170 athlete with 6.8 speed in the sixty. His best present tool is his left handed bat, as he has serious whip in his barrel coming through the zone and huge power potential. Morgan hit the ball well in games and showed the ability to hit to all fields.

Luke Banister  C - 2020 - Round Rock, TX
Temple College

Banister is a strong right handed hitter with an aggressive pull approach who wore out the left field fence both in batting practice and in the games. He also has next level defensive tools and skills behind the plate.

Zachary Easterling  RHP - 2020 - Spring, TX
Texas A&M

Easterling pitched at 83-87 MPH with a loose easy arm action that projects for more velocity. He flashed occasional hard bite on his curveball at 75 MPH. With a few adjustments to his lower half he could make big time jumps in a short period of time.

Tyran Norris  OF - 2020 - Pearland, TX
Galveston College

Norris has a very projectable 6-1/165 build that looks even more slender than that but has lots of quick twitch athleticism, especially in his hands. The ball jumps off the barrel hard from the right side and Norris has very good timing and hitting mechanics as well. He's also a 6.9 runner.

Nathaniel Price  C - 2020 - Fort Worth, TX
New Mexico

Price has outstanding actions and tools defensively behind the plate and really stands out for his quickness and athleticism. At the plate, he's a right handed hitter with a strong and quick swing that should hit for both average and some gap to gap power.

Jack Hammond  MIF - 2020 - Skiatook, OK
Kansas

Hammond has a nice distribution of tools and skills across the board and a mature approach to the game for his age. He showed a strong right handed line drive swing that stayed on the ball for a long time and should be a high average hitter. Hammond also ran a 6.8 in the sixty and showed solid infield actions and arm strength.

Carlos Samuel Marquez Ciavaldini  RHP - 2020 - Houston, TX
Galveston College

Ciavaldini pitched at 82-87 MPH with a loose easy arm action. The body projects well and so does the velocity if he makes the necessary lower half adjustments to his delivery.

Fischer Kingsbery  RHP - 2020 - Round Rock, TX
Texas San Antonio

The rising junior prospect ran his fastball up to 85 mph with significant life and downhill plane during his outing. Kingsberry fills up the strike zone and comes after hitters all while garnering a significant amount of swing-and-miss within the strike zone; the big breaking 12/6 breaking ball with sharpness was his primary secondary pitch.

Bryson Walker  LHP - 2020 - Houston, TX
Incarnate Word

Walker is a young medium framed left hander with an advanced ability to change speeds and mix his pitches. He topped out at 84 mph while showing a sweeping curveball and a fading change up that he could use on any count.

Jackson Blue  RHP - 2020 - The Woodlands, TX
University of Texas at Arlington

Blue is still growing into his 6-4/165 frame but has a fast right arm that enabled him to reach 86 mph on his fastball with lots more there as he physically matures. Blue's low 70's curveball flashes the potential to be a solid second pitch for him.

Hunter Rebando  C - 2020 - Lampasas, TX
Lamar/Hill College

Rebando had very quick actions at catcher on defense along with consistent and repeatable mechanics that have been well taught. He popped down to a 1.84 in drills with game actions and was very accurate with his throws.

Jacob Davis  OF - 2020 - Spring, TX

Davis is a very versatile player who can play all over the field with his 6.85 speed and his very strong throwing arm. He was 91 mph from the outfield in drills and worked up to 83 mph on the mound with lots more in there with some mechanical work.


2021 Top Prospects

Luke Robertson  RHP - 2021 - Frisco, TX
University of Houston

Robertson has the very projectable 6-3/170 build one wants to see on a young hitter with lots of power potential. Just as importantly, he showed that power both with a game home run and a very solid batting practice that highlighted his raw bat speed and natural lift.

Robert Fortenberry  LHP - 2021 - Frisco, TX
Mississippi State/Weatherford College

Fortenberry has two solid present pitches he throws for strikes in a heavy fastball that will reach 83 mph and lives in the bottom of the strike zone to go with a big breaking curveball that does a very good job of changing eye level. He should continue to improve as he gets stronger.

Sergio Guerra  C - 2021 - San Diego, TX
Texas Rio Grande Valley

Guerra absolutely dominated the games with a strong and aggressive right handed swing that produced multiple extra base hits. He's light on his feet in the middle infield with advanced instincts and a strong throwing arm on defense.

Creed Willems  C - 2021 - Aledo, TX
TCU

Williams is a extra big and strong athlete for his age at 6-0/205 but has plenty of strength driven tools, including bat speed from both sides of the plate as a hitter. He showed a strong and accurate arm behind the plate and was up to 84 mph on the mound.

Aiden Olenjack  OF - 2021 - Willow Park, TX

Olenjack is a very good young athlete who looks to be a high level centerfielder defensively in the future, with both tools and instincts going after the ball and throwing.

Ryan Leary  SS - 2021 - Liberty Hill, TX
Texas State

Leary showed excellent tools, primarily from his main position on the mound where the righthander worked 80-82 mph with life and command. The arm stroke is short, clean, and fast through the arm circle with a tight breaking ball that he could manipulate the shape of. He also swung the bat well and topped out at 87 mph during infield drills.


2022 Top Prospects

Travis Sanders  SS - 2022 - Copperas Cove, TX
Texas Tech

Sanders is a young right handed hitter who has very good hitting tools for his age and size. He attacks the ball aggressively and can already drive the gaps with hard line drives. He was even more impressive in defensive drills, with very polished and advanced actions at shortstop.

Wyatt Wiatrek  RHP - 2022 - Sinton, TX
McLennan CC

Wiatrek has a big and strong 6-2/190 build and an easy rhythmic delivery on the mound. He worked up to 82 mph with outstanding life on his fastball and showed a tight 11/5 breaking ball that is a very promising second pitch. Wiatrek also showed hitting tools with present bat speed and power from the right side.

Canon Chester  1B - 2022 - Sinton, TX
Tyler Junior College

Chester looks the part of a prospect with an impressive 6-2/190 build for his age and has a smooth and easy right handed swing with present bat speed and lots of natural lift. He looks like a future middle of the order run producer.

Ethan Hodges  OF - 2022 - Farmers Branch, TX

Hughes has a very strong 5-11/197 build for his age and that translates into very good right handed bat speed at the plate. He gets the ball into the air well with a loose and extended swing and has the present power to reach the fences, with more to come.

Hill showed surprising bat speed for a 5-9/148 eighth grader and consistently squared up the ball hard from a short and crisp right handed swing.

Jose Vargas  OF - 2022 - League City, TX
Arizona State

Vargas is a long and very projectable 6-2/160 left handed hitting middle infielder with the chance to be a very good hitter. He's also a 6.95 runner with solid athletic actions on defense.

Xavier Perez  RHP - 2022 - Corpus Christi, TX
Texas State

Perez has outstanding mechanics for his age and three present pitches that all show quality and feel. His fastball topped out at 80 mph and he showed confidence in mixing in a deep breaking slider and a change up. It's a very projectable talent package overall.
