Tyran Norris is a 2020 OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Large frame with athletic, high-waisted build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.68 seconds. Hits from upright stance with balanced set, loads hands back quietly, loose and whippy swing through the zone with excellent bat speed, hands work well through stroke, finishes high, consistent loud contact throughout the weekend, projects well in terms of power. Showed well in the outfield, plus speed plays well in center field, athleticism stands out, works through the ball and maintains direction and balance, clocked up to 87 mph on throws. Good student, named to 2019 South Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbally committed to Galveston College.
