High School Top 50: 31-40

Preseason Top 50 Countdown: 41-50

31. Prosper (Prosper, Tx.)

2024 Record:
31-8
Head Coach: Mark Stine

Notable Prospect(s): OF Luke Billings (Texas A&M), RHP Colton Cordeiro, LHP Roger Vincent (Oral Roberts)

Prosper is one of the top programs in Texas year in and year out and nothing seems to be changing in 2025. They bring back one of the top two-way players in the country in Luke Billings who will provide some thump in the order along with electric stuff on the mound. Oral Roberts signee Roger Vincent and senior right-hander Colton Cordeiro give them a strong rotation coming into the 2025 campaign. It’s easy to bet on Prosper to win and be one of the better teams in Texas year in and year out because they do it every year. 2025 looks like another one of those years where they rattle off wins routinely especially with the amount of talent they return to their team.

32. South Walton (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.)

2024 Record:
21-11
Head Coach: Nick Borthwick

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Charlie Willcox (Georgia Tech), 3B Braxton Varnes (Florida State), OF Cameron Tipton (Troy), 3B Coleman Borthwick (Auburn), RHP Denton Lord (Florida), 1B Jayden Cunningham

South Walton comes into the year with one of the top rotations not only in the panhandle but in the entire country as they boast three of the top arms in the next two graduating classes. Senior right-hander and Georgia Tech signee Charlie Willcox has shown electric stuff, especially throughout the fall. Two-way player and Auburn commit Coleman Borthwick has shown so much to be excited about on the mound along with showing enormous power at the plate. Rounding out the staff is Florida commit Denton Lord. They can roll out an SEC arm almost every game and they also have more pieces offensively to be excited about too. Sophomore Jayden Cunningham is one of the top first baseman in the country and seniors Braxton Varnes and Cameron Tipton are set up to have big springs. This is one that should excite just about everybody and with that staff, they could fly up the rankings throughout the spring.

33. Collierville (Collierville, Tenn.)

2024 Record:
30-15
Head Coach: Jeff Munier

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Ari Bethea (Tennessee), SS Jd Whitworth (Belmont), 1B Brody Winemiller, 3B Cael Allen, 3B Aj Greene (Memphis), LHP Ridge Harvey (Belmont)

Collierville has been one of the more consistent programs in Tennessee for quite some time, rattling off over 30 wins a year since 2016. It feels like it’ll be another strong year for the Dragons in 2025 as they bring back a strong senior class. Headlining the group on the mound in right-hander Ari Bethea, who runs it into the low-90s along with senior left-hander and Belmont signee Ridge Harvey set to see some big innings. Tennessee signee Jd Whitworth headlines the offensive side of things along with three other seniors in Brody Winemiller, Cael Allen, and Aj Greene. It’s an exciting senior class that has done a lot of winning in their three previous seasons and don’t look to be slowing down any time soon.

34. JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.)

2024 Record:
15-13-1
Head Coach: Brett Kay

Notable Prospect(s): SS Jordan Marian (UCSB), RHP Josh Hollis (Oregon), RHP Max Reimers (Santa Clara), SS Tyler Dunning (UCLA), SS Cole Strane, C Owen Capron, RHP Gavin Flores, OF Blake Bowen (Oregon State), OF Takashi Rutherford, SS Marcus Greis (TCU), RHP Aidan Kent, C Ayden Coleman

JSerra Catholic has put up some monstrous seasons over the past few years and they boast one of the more impressive player lists in the country in 2025. They have a host of seniors who have been through the gauntlet over their high school careers and that senior group is headlined by UCSB signee Jordan Marian, Oregon signee Josh Hollis, Santa Clara signee Max Reimers and UCLA signee Tyler Dunning. They also bring back one of the better junior groups in the country in top-35 player Blake Bowen, uber-talented outfielder Takashi Rutherford and TCU commit Marcus Greis along with one of the top sophomores in the country in Aidan Kent. It’s easy to see why we’re so high on JSerra coming into the year with the blend of veterans leadership mixed with the high end talent we’ve become accustomed to seeing out of this program.

35. Bob Jones (Madison, Ala.)

2024 Record:
44-9
Head Coach: Jared Smith

Notable Prospect(s): OF Dillon Adkins, C Zackary Johnson (Alabama), RHP Tanner Hermesch, RHP Jack Shaw

Bob Jones was one of the most fun stories from a season ago, going from unranked in the preseason to knocking off the #1 team in the country at the HS Showdown and an eventual top-5 finish at the end of the year. After what last year’s team accomplished, this team comes into the year with lofty expectations, and they’re primed to back those up. They roll out a strong senior class on the offense as well as on the mound. Headlining the group is senior outfielder Dillon Adkins and senior catcher Zackary Johnson, both had huge impacts on the run a season ago. They also return two of their arms from a year ago in senior right-handers Tanner Hermesch and Jack Shaw, both more than capable of throwing big innings and performing in high pressure spots. They flew under the radar a bit to open last year but that’s not the case in 2025 as they’re the early favorite to repeat as state champions in Alabama’s toughest classification.

36. Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.)

2024 Record:
22-9
Head Coach: Mike Woods

Notable Prospect(s): SS Boston Kellner (Texas A&M), OF Jaylen Payne (Central Arizona CC), LHP Jack Armijo, SS Cole Berge (Tulane), 1B Frank Gearhart, OF Benjamin Ball (Arizona), C Kristopher Desantiago, 3B Parker Rahn, RHP Brady Hallen, 1B Tyler Nelson, 3B Blake Gonzales, SS Sammy Garcia

2024 was the first year that Hamilton hasn’t hoisted the state title since 2021 after going back-to-back in 2022 and 2023. They’ve longed been regarded as one of the top programs in the entire country and bring back an intriguingly talented roster, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Texas A&M signee and top-70 player in the class Boston Kellner headlines the roster along with another highly ranked senior in outfielder Jaylen Payne. They also have a pair of other committed players on the offensive side of things in Cole Berge and Benjamin Ball as well as ranked first baseman Frank Gearhart. Leading the staff on the mound will be senior left-hander Jack Armijo and junior righty Brady Hallen. The offense looks strong on paper and with their pedigree as one of the top programs in the land, it’s easy to see why they landed well inside the top-50 to kick things off.

37. Gloucester Catholic (Gloucester City, N.J.)

2024 Record:
27-3
Head Coach: Dennis Barth

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Jackson Smallets (Coastal Carolina), SS Guy Lynam (Auburn), SS Noah Danza (Virginia), C Braeden Lipoff (East Carolina), OF Henry Pancoast, 2B Jason Bogart

Gloucester Catholic captured their 21st state championship a year ago as they continue to be a perineal powerhouse in New Jersey. They once again return one of the top rosters in the entire country, led by four commits to powerhouse programs. Headlining the roster is senior right-hander and Coastal Carolina signee Jackson Smallets who will be the ace of the staff. They also have a dynamic junior group on the offensive side of things led by a pair of P4 commits in Guy Lynam and Noah Danza. East Carolina commit Braeden Lipoff, Henry Pancoast, and Jason Bogart round out that junior group, giving them one of the more dynamic lineups in the region. They’ve dominated for a while now and look as ready as ever to do so again.

38. St. Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park, Kan.)

2024 Record:
23-7
Head Coach: Rick Sabath

Notable Prospect(s): 1B Cru Huenfeld (Kansas), SS Westin Boyle (Purdue), RHP Lincoln Boyle (Arkansas), SS Brady Stewart (South Carolina), SS Henry Goodwin, C James Forgy, 1B Nic Sabers

St. Thomas Aquinas comes in as our highest ranked team in Kansas to kick off the 2025 campaign as they boast an impressive roster, one with four P4 commits and more that could be soon. One of the bigger names on the roster is junior right-hander Lincoln Boyle who will be relied upon in a big two-way role in his junior campaign. Another important piece on the offensive side will be junior shortstop Brady Stewart who had a good season a year ago. They also return a pair of seniors from a year ago in 1B Cru Huenfeld and SS Westin Boyle, who will look to go out with a bang in their senior campaigns. They round out the offensive side with three more juniors in Henry Goodwin, James Forgy, and Nic Sabers, all of which will be relied upon in a big way. This team has a chance to throw up big run totals and the offensive firepower may be too much as they look to go back-to-back in 2025.

39. St. Augustine (San Diego, Calif.)

2024 Record:
23-8
Head Coach: Craig da Luz

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Grayson Boles (Texas), SS Tyler Wick (Oregon), C Shane Miranda (Notre Dame), SS Raphael Dunne (UCSD), 1B Anthony Tompkins, RHP Ryan Popkins, RHP Jonny Haskett

St. Augustine put together a strong season a year ago as they made a deep run in the playoffs, ending in the quarterfinals. They bring back a strong core of upperclass talent, headlined by Texas signee Grayson Boles and Oregon signee Tyler Wick. Boles will lead the staff and will get plenty of draft looks this spring after the velo has ticked up. They round out the staff with Ryan Popkins and Jonny Haskett, both of whom have thrown in some big games in their high school careers. The offense will be headlined by Wick and round it out with a host of other senior bats in Shane Miranda, Raphael Dunne and Anthony Tompkins, who are all coming off strong 2024 springs and will look to replicate that this year. Returning their core guys from a season ago have them not only as one of the best teams in San Diego, it has them as one of the best teams in the country heading into the season.

40. Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.)

2024 Record:
43-2
Head Coach: Bob Riker

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Blake Ilitch (Ole Miss), LHP Cole Duhaime (Virginia), C Broder Katke (Duke), OF Maksim Neshov

Brother Rice has been one of the main powers in Michigan for quite some time at this point and always put a great product on the field. 2024 ended on a sour note for the Warriors with a loss in the state championship but they bring back yet another strong roster heading into 2025. They have a pair of power-4 commits leading the pitching staff in Ole Miss signee Blake Ilitch and Virginia signee Cole Duhaime, giving them one of the best one-two’s in the country. They also boast a pair of impact underclassmen in Duke commit Broder Katke who will be relied upon to handle the staff as well as freshman Maksim Neshov who hit over .500 in PG events in 2024. They seem to be set up as well as anyone in Michigan to capture their first state title in quite some time in 2025.

The spring has come to a close and with the summer in full swing, it’s time to crown a National Champion for the High School season. The Trinity Shamrocks out of Louisville, Kentucky had an incredible year and finished the season winning back-to-back state titles, more impressively finishing on a 24 game winning streak. The spring was filled with dominant performances from the Shamrocks, led by PG All-American Grayson Willoughby who turned in a dominant effort in the state title game, a game in which they won 12-0. They played a rigorous schedule that saw them go 2-2 at NHSI including a win over St. John Bosco (CA) as well as a win over Tampa Jesuit (FL), both of which would go on to win state titles in powerhouse baseball states. The accolades don’t stop there as they posted six no-hitters across the spring as well as 21 shutout victories, making this one of the more...

2026 MLB Draft Reports: 200-299 | 300-399 | 400-500 100. Lucas Nawrocki, LHP/1B, Aledo HS L-L, 5-11/197, Aledo, TX College Commitment: LSU Lucas Nawrocki put together a monster year on both sides of the ball, although the profile may be suited better for the mound in pro ball. Nawrocki features a stocky frame that works down the mound into a low-slot release. The fastball sits in the mid-90’s with carry to the top of the zone. It can reach spin rates near 2700 rpm. The left-hander can spin a slider exceptionally well. The pitch sits in the mid-80’s with big sweeping action and spin rates over 3000 rpm. A firm upper-80's changeup rounds out the pitch mix. At the plate, Nawrocki can provide some thump from the left side of the plate.  For more on Nawrocki, read his high school notebook here.   101. 2026 MLB Draft Reports: 300-399 | 400-500 200. Hudson Devaughan, RHP, Mooresville HS R-R, 6-4/195, Mooresville, IN College Commitment: Alabama Hudson Devaughan features a projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 195-pounds. The fastball works up to 96 mph with more to come. It is thrown on a downhill plane. A sharp curveball pairs well off of it and can miss bats. A cutter and changeup round out the pitch mix, but still need to be refined.  201. Cole Stokes, RHP, Florida State R-R, 6-6/230, Redondo Beach, CA Previously Drafted: Never Drafted Cole Stokes is an imposing 6-foot-6 arm with loud stuff too. The fastball works in the upper-90’s with sink. It is paired with a sweeper that can miss bats at a solid clip. Significant command issues will need to be addressed in order for the potential plus stuff to play more consistently.  For more on Stokes, read his college report...

Gulf Coast Edge has continued to build momentum in championship play this week, advancing behind a combination of timely offense, strong pitching, and contributions throughout the lineup. After grinding out a 4-3 victory over Canes American 14U to open bracket play, Gulf Coast Edge followed with a dominant 13-1 playoff win against Knights Baseball 14U National to secure their spot in the tournament bracket. The team features nationally ranked talent throughout the roster, but its recent success has been fueled by players embracing their roles and finding ways to contribute in key moments. Two players who embody that balance are outfielder Brayden Nims and fellow outfielder Nolan Richardson. Nims has helped lead the charge offensively as Gulf Coast Edge has advanced through the bracket. One of the most highly regarded players in the country, ranked No. 9 overall nationally and the No. 4...

With a postseason run for the ages, the Oklahoma Sooners (43-23) took home the National Championship and naturally finish the 2026 season as our No. 1 team in the land.  It is the third national title for the Sooners, playing in their 12th CWS and making their fourth championship series appearance.  They add to previous national titles won in 1951 and 1994 and did it by taking the most difficult path of any team in this year’s tournament.  In the NCAA Tournament, Oklahoma took down national seeds, No. 2 Georgia Tech twice, No. 3 Georgia twice, No. 5 UNC twice, No. 7 Alabama and No. 15 Kansas twice.  This was the second time that head coach Skip Johnson has led the Sooners to the CWS Championship Series since 2022 and the first time he has taken home the crown.  The North Carolina Tarheels (54-14) was one win away from their first national title and finish...
