5/21/2023

Demarion Abrams (2025 OF, Fort Meade, FL) pull side juice was on display in Sunday's game action. He collected two barrels to left field, one of them clearing the fence by a fair amount. Abrams can leverage the baseball and produce loud contact because of his fast hands and uphill swing path.

Brodie Carter (2025 SS, Canton, GA) was 2-3 on the day with a loud RBI double that carried deep into the left field gap. He kept the hands inside on a tough inside pitch while showing off plenty of strength to do damage.

Nathaneal Davis (2026 OF, Orlando, FL) followed up his outstanding workout portion with equally impressive live game action. Davis is a predator in the box with hitterish actions and a really fast bat. He was a perfect 2-2 on the day. The speed he showed in workouts transfered seamlessly onto the base-paths and in the outfield as well. The southpaw also pitched a couple innings and flashed a loose, whippy arm, command of three pitches, and athletic actions on the bump.

James Butler (2025 OF, Bradenton, FL) feel to spin was evident in his two inning outing. The right hander ran his fastball up to 85 mph with spin rates that exceeded 2600 RPM on occasion. Butler paired his heater with a long sweeping slider with frisbee action at times. His stuff missed bats and also stayed off the barrel when contact was made.

Nick Wilson (2024 RHP, Odessa, FL) worked a quality at bat and was able to stay on a tough pitch in order to send it back up the middle. He had two hits while displaying barrel variability and accuracy with good swing decisions.

Juan Orozco (2024 SS, Orlando, FL) blasted a baseball that nearly left the yard to dead center field. Orozco doesn't get cheated at the plate and swings with intent showing big bat speed to go along with fast torso acceleration.

Game Highlights: 4-Maroon v. 9-Royal

5/21/2023

Alejandro Porta (2026, Homestead, Fla.) was able to get the hands-on one, driving it the other way. Good control of the barrel to work to the opposite field and stay on it. Also, up into the mid-70s on the mound from a controlled operation with a bigger breaking ball to pair. Efficient outing on the mound.

Jared Vega (2024, Guanica, P.R.) was able to drive in a Porta during the next at-bat. Tons of strength in a big and physical frame. Got the hands on one working pull-side and was able to drive it into left center. Allowed the run to score.  Picked up another hit in his next at-bat, driving one into left center again. Fluid barrel.

Deyus Rowe (2024, Orlando, Fla.) was dominant on Saturday on the mound and was able to grab a base hit during his first at-bat on Sunday. Rotated hard through contact and drove the ball pull-side into right field for a base hit. Met it out front and did a job.

Grant Sheppard (2026, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) gets the job done here, driving one hard into the right-center gap. Jumped on the first pitch of the at-bat and absolutely crushed it all the way to the wall in right-center, hustled out a triple on the swing. Also up to 80 mph on his fastball from a high slot during his inning on the mound. He added another double in his next at-bat. Got to one and drove it the other way down the right-field line, and hustled out a double.

Stuart Ding (2025, Gainesville, Fla.) jumped on the second pitch of the next at-bat and drove one hard through the left side of the infield, picked up a base knock, and drove in the run for an RBI single.

Luis Vargas-Lopez (2025, Kissimmee, Fla.) was able to put a charge into one that rolled all the way to the wall in left-center field. Hard-hit barrel with good strength at impact hustled out a triple.

Dylan Messina (2026, Cortez, Fla.) was able to get the hands to one out front and drive the ball up the middle on a line, drove it pull-side into the gap, hustling out a double on the swing.

Clark Corlew (2024, Lake Worth, Fla.) used some serious strength in an XL frame to get on time for one and absolute crush it. Drove it deep in the air, one-hopping it over the wall in deep left center, missing a home run by a few feet.  Settled for the ground-rule double.

Bailan Caraballo (2024, Orlando, Fla.) was able to use the strength in a really in-sync operation to drive the ball to one the other way into the right-center gap for a double.

Joseph Beltre (2024, Port St. Lucie, Fla.) was able to get the hands to one and crush it pull-side, quality barrel from a RHH with a clean operation and good strength at impact.

Sebastian Davila (2024, Vega Alta, P.R.) was able to burn the centerfielder, driving one over his head to the deepest part of the park. Hustled all the way to third on the swing. Tallied a triple.

Columbia vs Green Game Highlights

5/21/2023

Derek Datil (2024 OF, Sabana Hoyos, PR) led off the game with an opposite field single and quickly showed off his speed with some stolen bases. He's a great athlete with plenty of twitch to like.

Ryley Chapman (2024 SS, Orlando, FL) worked up to 84 mph on the mound and showed some moxy, sinking the fastball well. He's also added hard contact on the day.

Ryan Lopez (2025 OF, Las Piedras, PR) had hard contact to centerfield on a lineout and also made one of the better defensive plays on the day. Lopez broke toward home right away in centerfield and laid out to make a diving catch.

Colin McCormick (2024 SS, Kenilworth, IL) flared one to right centerfield for a single and also had two really impressive defensive plays. McCormick made two nice ranging plays up the middle at shortstop and has plenty of arm for the left side.

Gabriel Rosado (2024 C, Ponce, PR) showed off the catch-and-throw skills with two runners caught stealing. He popped a 1.88 in drills and throws were right on the money.

Game Highlights: 5-Navy v. 6-Orange

5/21/2023

Rory O’Connor (2024, Cocoa Beach, Fla.) gets the hands in and is able to pump a fastball into the LCF gap. Stayed on time for a fastball, was able to work uphill, and pumped it for an extra-base hit.

Eadin Williams (2025, Boca Raton, Fla.) was able to stay on the fastball, getting extended and driving it into right field for an RBI single. Long and lean frame with room to keep filling out, loose path through the zone allowed him to get the job done.

Enrico Carrion (2025, Caguas, P.R.) was able to keep swinging it well at the plate, got the hands to a changeup, stayed in-sync, and on time to drive it pull-side into left field. Continues to be on the barrel in his at-bats.

Bradley Benton (2024, Avon Park, Fla.) was able to get the hands through the zone with an athletic box presence, driving it pull-side into left field for a single. Easy and fluid path that got it done. Benton was also up to 84 mph on the mound with a heavy fastball attack from a short and quick arm action. Showed a slider in the mix too, changing pace and finding success early on. Added another base hit pull-side early on, jumped on a pitch early in the at-bat, and drove it hard through the left side.

Jensel Nieves (2024, Orlando, Fla.) was able to adjust and stay on time for the changeup, driving it on a line to left field. Hustled out extra bases, getting to second for the double. Smooth stroke from the Alabama State commit.

Danny Melendez (2025, Celebration, Fla.) has come out and been exceptional in his outing on the mound. Features a 3-pitch mix that missed a ton of barrels with great pitchability. Fastball up to 80 mph, curveball with big break, and a changeup that he sold well in the low-70s that was filthy. Had 4 strikeouts over his 2 innings of work.

Lenin Nuñez (2024, Miami, Fla.) was able to stay on time for a fastball and crush it to right center. Tons of strength in the frame and good impact with strength off the barrel as well. Hustled out a double on the swing.

Gray vs. Green Game Highlights

5/21/2023

Brandon Reiter (2025 LHP, Melbourne, FL) was very solid on the mound, working into the mid-80s and showing strikeout stuff. The primary arm also added a single during game action.

Kai So (2025 C, Gainesville, FL) smoked a double during the game, down the line on the pull side. He's got big strength and showed good barrel control to keep the double fair.

Yeriel Rivera (2025 3B, Rio Grande, PR) hit one of the furthest balls of the day with a loud triple to left centerfield. It's easy power with good leverage out in front.

Ryley Chapman (2024 SS, Orlando, FL) added a hard hit RBI knock during the game as he hit a ball hard through the left side. It's a solid feel to hit from both sides of the plate.

Collin McCormick (2024, Kenilworth, IL) doubled down the line for an extra base hit. The defense has been very good too including a ranging play up the middle.

Game Highlights: 2-Gray v. 1-Columbia Blue

5/20/2023

Michael Surane (2025 RHP, Windermere, FL) breezed through his three innings of work. The physical right hander gets into his lower half nicely and rides his strong hinge down the mound efficiently. His clean delivery allowed him to pound the strike zone with a natural cutting fastball and a big 11-5 curveball. Surane worked ahead of nearly every batter and you could tell he loves to compete.

Larry Rodriguez (2024 OF, Miami Lakes, FL) stuff clearly made hitters uncomfortable in the box. The deception in his arm stroke and heavy life to the hitter proved fits for right handed batters. He owned the inside corner of the plate and added a nasty two plane breaker with it. Rodriguez fastball topped at 85 mph with a high velocity curveball at 75 mph.

Sebastian Garcia (2026 OF, Gurabo, PR) was on the barrel for most of the day and came up bit with a laser RBI single up the middle.

Derek Datil (2024 OF, Sabana Hoyos, PR) impressed when running a 6.6 60 yard dash and followed it up with a very solid outfield round. He was able to translate his tools over to game play and showed explosive actions in the box. Datil smoked a single in the middle innings.

Gabriel Rosado (2024 C, Ponce, PR) showed off his cannon arm behind the plate gunning down a runner at second base. Rosado also collected an RBI when he matched plane with an inside heater.

Game Highlights: 3-Green v. 2-Gray

5/20/2023

Angel Hilario (2024 SS, Port Saint Lucie, FL) used his vertical arm slot and short stride delivery to drive the baseball to the bottom of the zone. The athletic right hander featured a heavy sinking fastball at 83 mph with a wipeout breaking ball at 75 mph. He varied his tempos and breaking ball shape to keep hitters off balance and collect three punch outs in 1.2 innings. Hilario also picked up a clutch RBI double for his squad.

Ryley Chapman (2024 SS, Orlando, FL) cleared the left fielders head with a screaming line drive that nearly carried over the wall. What 's even more impressive was that it was an opposite field shot. The UTSA commit has a good combination of bat speed and control.

Makana Moorefield (2026 OF, Bradenton, FL) can really fly around the bases. He gets out of the box in a hurry and reaches top speed really quick for someone his age. Moorefield has top of the order traits in his game.

Landy Garcia (2025 RHP, Coral Gables, FL) caught a barrel to the opposite field and drove in a run as a result.

Game Highlights: 1-Columbia Blue v. 3-Green

5/20/2023

Jose Angel Cotto (2024 C, Caguas, PR) showed solid bat to ball skills letting a pitch on the outer third get deep and driving it to the right center field gap. He works short through the zone and has loose wrists to manipulate the barrel. Cotto also nailed down a would be base stealer while displaying a quick exchange and sound foot work.

Steele Marshall (2024 RHP, Defuniak Springs, FL) dominated in his three inning look. The durable right-hander racked up eight strikeouts and only allowed two singles. Marshall got stronger as the game went along, building up velocity from the low 80's to eventually cruising at 84-85 mph in his last inning. He bullied hitters in the strike zone and missed a ton of bats.

Kamden (KJ) Scobey (2024 SS, Lakeland, FL) stuff was loud on the bump for two impressive innings. The Louisville commit's fastball exploded on hitters at 90 mph with tons of life and arm side run. He effectively mixed in a tight slider that made opposing batters look silly.

James Carter (2024 1B, Boulder, CO) worked a quality at bat and ended up scorching a ball to the right center field gap. He has present strength that is on display every time he connects with the ball.

Yandel Gonzalez Reyes (2025 RHP, Trujillo Alto, PR) feel to spin the breaking ball really stood out. The lanky rightie ripped off some bangers that he placed both in and out of the strike zone. The pitch had quality velocity at 73 mph and good shape that made it a weapon.

Game Highlights 4-Maroon v. 5-Navy

5/20/2023

Bailan Caraballo (2024, Orlando, Fla.) operates from an extra-large frame and handles the hot corner well with firm throws across. He was able to get the day started with a solid swing back up the middle for a base knock into centerfield.

Enrico Carrion (2025, Caguas, P.R.) was able to produce loud results in his first plate appearance, getting on plane for one and crushing it deep into the right-center gap, seeing it down as it rolled to the base of the wall. Hustled to third for a triple. Turned around and was able to pick up a double in his next plate appearance. Stayed on time for a changeup, getting the barrel up to it, driving it the other way into right field, and hustling out another extra-base hit.

Dylan Rex (2024, Hallandale Beach, Fla.) was able to get it done at the dish with a solid well-struck base hit back up the middle into centerfield. He uses a wider base with a simple operation. Fluid barrel with good accuracy to get on plane. He also shined behind the dish with clean actions as a backstop.

Marco Gonzalez (2024, Winter Springs, Fla.) was able to double to right field in his first trip to the plate, burning the outfielder and driving it over his head for the extra-base knock. Gonzalez uses a big leg lift and super aggressive stride forward to do damage. He jumped on the mound and was up to 84 mph, but the fastball played up and was able to miss some barrels. He showed a tighter slider with some sweep in the low-70s and flashed a changeup in the mix too. Punched out 4 hitters over 2 innings of work.

Stuart Ding (2025, Gainesville, Fla.) managed two hits in today’s game. He was able to get the hands to the ball quickly with a direct path and quick attack to it. The right-handed hitter picked up a hit early, driving one back up the middle for a base hit. He added another hit later, getting the hands to one out front for a pull-side knock, for his second hit of the day.

Parker Loew (2026, Sarasota, Fla.) showed off an athletic presence in the box with a ton of athleticism on Saturday. He was able to get the barrel to one pull-side into left field, hustling out extra bases, and cruising into second with a double. The Louisiana State commit was really smooth on throws across the diamond as well on his throws when playing the left side of the infield.

Christian Borbely (2024, Montverde, Fla.) came out working the low-80s with a full four-pitch mix. He showed a 10-4 slider in the mid-70s and a bigger 12-6 curveball in the upper-60s. Showed a changeup in the mix as well, finding ways to get the job done and miss barrels early on. Punched out 3 opposing hitters over 2.0 innings pitched with just 2 hits allowed.

Deyus Rowe (2024, Orlando, Fla.) came out and was a high-energy mound presence in his outing. He was up to 89 mph while showing electric stuff. The fastball was firm in the upper-80s and showed what looked more like a running 2-seamer in the low-80s that ran arm-side. He paired that with a hard changeup with tons of depth, killing spin on the pitch effectively, and letting it tumble away from right-handers. He also flashed a slider up to 73 mph with great shape and a curveball that had more of an 11-5 vertical breaking pitch. He mixed all four pitches effectively in his outing. He punched out 7 opposing hitters over 2 and 2/3 innings of work.

Game Highlights: 6-Orange v. 7-Purple

5/20/2023

Mason Carriere (2025, Miami, Fla.) was able to get the job done in the box during his first triple to the plate. The right-handed hitter was able to get the hands to it and lift it back up the middle into center. Quick hands being on plane to pick up the base knock.

Demarion Adams (2025, Fort Meade, Fla.) was able to lead off the bottom of the first with a base hit. Gets his weight on the backside and has a fluid operation to get on plane and work uphill to the ball. Drove one back to centerfield on a line for a base hit. Real twitchy and athletic actions and had solid throws in from the outfield.

Kiefer McGhee (2025, West Palm Beach, Fla.) was able to lead off an inning with a double. He rotated hard through contact, got the barrel to the ball, and drove one hard pull-side, hustling out extra bases.

Mason Kinchen (2025, Spring, Tex.) was solid in his outing on the mound. He worked up to 85 mph on the fastball with two breaking balls in the mix, as well as the changeup. Punched out 5 over 3 innings while allowing just 1 hit for a solid outing.

Gabriel Rozenfeld (2026, Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.) shined on both sides of the ball today. He was able to work uphill to a pitch and drive it deep into the right-center gap for a double with quick hands and an accurate barrel. Jumped on the mound for an inning of work where he struck out 2 opposing hitters. He worked 83-85 mph on the fastball, missing barrels, showing a great fading changeup, and a more lateral-breaking slider as well. Projectable actions on both sides of the ball.

Colin Thacker (2026, Orlando, Fla.) was able to shine behind the dish as a backstop today. Showed off quick actions with a smooth and easy catch-and-throw. Nabbed a runner at third base. As a hitter, he swings it from the right-side and was able to pick up a hard-hit single back up the middle into centerfield.

Brodie Carter (2025, Canton, Ga.)  picked up a hard-hit ball to left field and ended up hustling out extra bases on the play. Athletic frame and was able to field well up the middle as well.

Jonathan Medina (2024, Miami, Fla.) jumped on the mound working 85-88 mph with a great breaking ball with 11-5 shape and a bigger break to it. Also flashed a harder changeup at 80 mph. Struck out 2 over 1.2 innings of work.

Tanner Owens (2026, Milton, Fla.) was electric in his outing on the mound today. The right-handed pitcher worked up to 87 mph and held the mid-80s in his outing. The pitch had life running arm-side, and he paired it with a 12-6 hammer curveball and a changeup with good depth. He punched out 4 opposing hitters over 3.0 innings pitched.

8-Red vs. 9-Royal Game Highlights

5/20/2023

Noel Leon (2024 RHP, Homestead, FL) tossed four strong innings in his start this afternoon. Pounded the strike zone throughout and kept hitters off balance changing speeds effectively.

Nick Wilson (2024 RHP, Odessa, FL) started the game on the mound and breezed his way through three innings of work only allowing one hit and striking out six in the process. Worked effectively to all four quadrants of the zone and displayed the ability to command each pitch.

Kevin Alonso (2026 C, Miami, FL) laced a pair of singles up the middle showcasing a solid feel for finding the barrel of the bat consistently.

Leonardo Albornoz (2024 RHP, Kissimmee, FL) really impressed on the mound in his relief appearance, ran the fastball up to 87 and showed off an at times un-hittable slider with a ton of horizontal break. Consistently spun the slider in the 2300 range and had hitters struggling to make contact through 3 innings.

Chase Wildroudt (2025 RHP, Margate, FL) ball exploded out of his hands at time on the mound and mowed his way through 3 three strong innings. Filled up the strike zone to all parts of the plate and maintained a velocity in the mid 80s.

Evan Taveras (2024 C, Fort Myers, FL) ripped a single into the right-center gap showing off some of the quickest hands at the plate of anyone in this event. Very smooth behind the plate as well and showed off his plus arm multiple times.

Demarion Abrams (2025 Fort Meade, FL) displayed some of the best pure bat speed of the day and unleashed his right-handed swing to hammer line drives to left.

JanCarlos Almenas (2025 Kissimmee, FL) has a good sequence and solid hand speed to go with a path that stays in the zone and allowed him to be very consistent with the barrel.

Juan Orozco (2024 Orlando, FL) has a swing that should transfer to game play and allow him to hit and hit for power as he barreled everything with good drive to the pull gap.

Leonardo Moncada (2024 Pompano Beach, FL) the physical left-handed hitter has excellent potential to be a run producer given his short and quick stroke and loud barrels.

Gabriel Rozenfeld (2026 Sunny Isles Beach, FL) has a fast bat with ability to barrel balls on either side of the plate, he also has a body that will fill out and add a big power particle as he develops.

Walker Hudson (2026 Blackshear, GA) moves very well during his swing and uses the ground well to create easy pop, with good bat speed.

Nathaneal Davis (2026 Orlando, FL) is an excellent athlete with a sweet left handed swing and plenty of twitch in the wrists as he hammered balls to the pull side with ease during his round.

Jonathan Esponda (2026 Miami Gardens, FL) has an easy swing that creates a lot of impact as he used his young but strong frame well to get the barrel out in a good position.

Yail Nater (2024 Kissimmee, FL) has quick wrists and an aggressive approach in the box and he goes to al lfields well.

Lawson Polhill (2025 Fort Myers, FL) has a relaxed approach and displayed the ability to hit to all fields with ease and consistency.

Logan Waldrup (2025 Fort Myers, FL) looks like a young right handed power threat that will continue to develop as his strong frame continues to mature.

Joseph Beltre (2023 Port Saint Lucie, FL) has a lean frame with longer limbs that allowed him to lag the hands and create easy barrel speed. He has the ability to split the outfield gaps regularly.

Connor Cantillo (2024 Port Saint Lucie, FL) used his clear physical strength to belt balls hard all over the yard in an impressive round.

Aaron Elissalt (2024 Miami, FL) has a twitchy swing and an aggressive approach and showed the ability to hit sharp line drives to centerfield during drills.

Noel Leon (2024 Homestead, FL) used his leverage to blast some balls hard to the pull side that help give projection to the power he has as he develops and fills out.

Evan Tavares (2024 Fort Myers, FL) is a very interesting young switch hitter with lots of current strength to go with a smooth swing form both sides with lots of power to come soon.

Jared Vega (2024 Guanica, PR) has an excellent frame to build on and when it starts to fill out his loose and athletic stroke will really produce at a high level as he already has good bat to ball skills.
