Jonathan Esponda is a 2026 3B/1B/OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Miami Gardens, FL who attends Mater Academy. Solid athletic build with very good strength for his size. 7.52 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has quiet hands fielding the ball and moves his feet well laterally, stays balanced with a good base, good arm strength across the diamond, can improve the speed of his release and his footwork throwing. Showed very similar tools and actions in both the outfield and first base. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand load, rotational upper body swing, clears his strong hips well, makes hard line drive contact to all fields, can get stiff with his hands/arms at contact. Excellent student. Named to the Miami Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
