12-Gold vs 14-Maroon Game Highlights

Gabriel Mendez (2019 SS, Pembroke Pines, FL) Finds the barrel often with a hard line drive swing. Collected a couple of hits in the game, a line drive single and a long fly ball for a triple.

Josearmando Diaz (2019 C, San Juan, PR) Good defense behind the plate. Has a quick pop, throwing out a couple runners trying to steal. Quick transfer into hard accurate throws.

William Stroud (2020 RHP, Windermere, FL) Threw four good innings, giving up just one hit and striking out a couple. Got weak contact with a fastball at 82 with some run. Commanded a good slider with bite at 71. Also showed a good change-up and curveball. Has a compact arm angle with a projectable body. 

Joseph Matos Gonzalez (2019 OF, San Lorenzo, PR) Has a solid and balanced swing with a line drive path. Controls the barrel well, collecting a single and a double in the game.

Eliezer Yaniel Colon (2019 OF, Guayama, PR) Swings the bat with the intent to drive it. Creates quality leverage each time at the plate. Had a hard hit single early in the game.








16-Royal vs. 18-White

1/7/2018

Wyatt Duthu (2020 SS, Fanning Springs, FL) showed a lot of tools for the Royal team, both in the field and at the plate. Duthu made some nice plays at SS, fielding bad hops and showing the range and arm strength to make plays deep in the hole. At the plate, he adjusted well to off speed pitches and made solid contact.

Dave Mitchum (2020 SS, Gainesville, FL) is an athletic prospect who runs well and made an impressive diving catch at SS. He has smooth actions in the infield and a lot of potential with the bat as well.

Grant Aycock (2022 SS, Greensboro, NC) pitched four innings for the White team and only allowed one run, while running his fastball up to 81 MPH. He also showed a curveball at 68 MPH and a 73 MPH change-up. The young prospect has an online, repeatable, and clean delivery with the ability to locate his fastball in the zone.

Elias Urena (2019 OF, Miramar, FL) had competitive at-bats and made the pitchers work to get him out. He tracks pitches well and has good contact skills with a line drive swing plane.

Ethan Thompson (2019 3B, Newberry, FL) hit the ball hard for the Royal team and showed impressive bat speed and strength in his swing. Thompson has pop to all fields with quick and loose wrists. His power potential was on display as he one-hopped the right field fence on a foul ball and drove another pitch deep to right field.

Elliott Figueroa Jr (2019 RHP, North Miami, FL) threw three innings, allowing only one hit and striking out four. Figueroa Jr reached 81 MPH with his fastball and showed good command of the strike zone. He also threw an 11-5 curveball for strikes and had arm side run on his fastball.

17-Steel vs. 15-Red Game Highlights

Travis Rittenhouse (2019 OF, Rochester, MN) flashed bat speed at the plate showing solid barrel skills and made solid contact going two for three with two runs scored and added a stolen base.

Jack Hattrup (2019 LHP, Plano, TX) was impressive on the mound pitching four strong and punching out eleven of the thirteen batters he faced. He was very effective hitting his spots with his fastball that topped out at 83 MPH and mixed in a curveball at 69 MPH and change-up at 70 MPH.

Javian Davis (2021 1B, Warren, MI) has a balanced swing at the plate keeping his hands inside the ball, making consistent contact. He was one for two with a double and an RBI in the game.

13-Green vs. 11-Columbia Blue Game Highlights

Abraham Sargent (2019 RHP, Pell City, AL) showed a line drive swing plane with good extension collecting a double in the game with a run scored. 

Jordan Thalacker (2020 OF, Waxhaw, NC) had a solid game at the going two for three with an RBI, run scored and two stolen bases. He repeats swing well with a simple stroke and level plane. Also, very aggressive on base paths.

Dylan Rogers (2019 OF, Spartanburg, SC) was impressive in his one outing of work striking out two. He has a good balanced delivery and stays online pitching from multiple arm angles. He has plus life on his fastball that topped out at 84 MPH and mixed in a good curveball at 65 MPH that he was able to throw for strikes. Also added a hit at the plate with a run scored.

William Oliver Kelley (2019 OF, Newnan, GA) was two for three in the game with an RBI and run scored. He displayed a raw powerful swing with a line drive plane and showed the ability to hit to all fields.

O'Kelly McWilliams Iv (2019 RHP, Oakton, VA) has an athletic swing with a line drive swing plane adding a double, two runs scored and collecting two stolen bases in the game.

Kasey Baumgart (2019 LHP, Sparrows Point, MD) is a young polished pitcher with good command and easy arm action throwing with low effort. He pitched four strong innings punching out six hitters. He topped out at 78 MPH with his fastball and worked it to both sides of the plate and mixed in a curveball at 62 MPH that he controlled well.

15-Red vs. 16-Royal Game Highlights

Asher Akridge (2020 OF, Gainesville, FL) showed off his power potential in the game hitting a towering pull side home run. He flashed big time pop, displaying good leverage in his swing.

Jacob Deason (2020 OF, Alachua, FL) has a loose fluid swing making consistent contact and showed some pop going one for three with a triple and a run scored.

John Graetz (2019 2B, High Springs, FL) was two for three in the game with an RBI. He has a simple stroke with easy pop and showed good bat speed.

Dave Mitchum (2020 SS, Gainesville, FL) displayed the ability to use all parts of the field going three for three with two runs scored and stole a base. He has quick hands with good bat speed and plays with confidence. 

Ethan Thompson (2019 3B, Newberry, FL) had a good game going one for three with a triple off the wall and scored a run. He showed a simple easy swing at the plate with a level swing.

18-White vs. 17-Steel Game Highlights

1/6/2018

Chase Honeycutt (2020 C, Southaven, MS) Strong athletic build. Balanced throughout swing with quick hands. Turned on a ball driving it hard down the left field line for a double.

Caleb Marmo (2020 OF, Johnson City, TN) Made solid contact in every at bat in the game with a line drive swing path. Had two singles in the game with a stolen base and an RBI.

Travis Rittenhouse (2019 OF, Rochester, MN) Has a strong lower half and uses it well. Good gap-to-gap approach with a solid line drive double to the left center gap.

Aiden Mastantuno (2021 LHP, Fleming Island, FL) Young lefty arm that threw four solid innings. Gave up no runs with four strikeouts. Good fastball at 77 and mixed curveball in at 67.

Joshua Steidl (2021 C, Delray Beach, FL) Showed out in his two innings pitched to close the game. No earned runs and struck out four batters. Threw the fastball at 76 from a 3/4 arm slot. Good breaking curveball at 62.





National Underclass East BP Highlights

1/6/2018

Jakob Runnels (2019 C, Winter Haven, FL) took a very consistent and balanced round where he was short to the ball with a simple trigger into the swing path. Runnels pummeled line drives consistently to the middle of the field and pull side with good barrel skills. 

Gustavo Sosa (2019 C, Staten Island, NY) continued his strong performance with a very impressive round. The swing is fluid with loose hands and definite hand quickness and bat speed. Sosa drives the ball well to all fields with authority. 

Asher Akridge (2020 OF, Gainesville, FL) showed off a very twitchy and athletic swing that projects nicely for additional power as he adds strength. Akridge stayed on plane well with some natural loft to the pull side and was looking to leverage to pull. 

Wyatt Langford (2020 C, Trenton, FL) has a very strong presence in the box with a lot of strength through the point of contact. Consistent hard contact with good balance throughout and polished lower half mechanics to drive from the backside through the point of impact. 

Chase Honeycutt (2020 C, Southaven, MS) has pretty loose hands through the swing and shoed a clean, compact, and smooth transfer of weight through the shift. Showed some raw pop to all fields and had a very consistent and loud round. 

Caleb Marmo (2020 OF, Johnson City, TN) has had a very strong start to the showcase and continued to impress with a low effort, balanced stroke. He has a very polished and professional approach with a clean and contact-oriented swing path. 

Carlton  Harper (2019 SS, Canton, MI) has very quick and explosive hands through a direct path to contact. Natural loft to the swing and works best when getting extended and working with a gap to gap approach. 

Daniel Labrador (2019 C, Miami, FL) showed a physical approach with present bat speed and a very polished approach. Labrador showed a clean and simple shift forward that incorporated his hips well with the ability to turn well over the inside with strength. 

Tommy Tavarez (2020 MIF, Brooklyn, NY) has a short and crisp swing through the zone with good quickness to his hands. Tavarez can drive the ball well to all fields with a positive launch angle that showed carry to both gaps. 

Edward Gonzalez (2020 SS, Yabucoa, PR) showed a simple and quick lefthanded stroke through the zone. Gonzalez has a level swing plane and repeats the swing very well with consistent barrel skills to the pull side of the field. 

O'Kelly McWilliams Iv (2019 RHP, Oakton, VA) showed a lot of quality hitting tools including a naturally extended and leveraged swing path. The primary pitcher repeats well and did a good job at staying on a clean and consistent swing plane. 

Samuel Torres (2019 C, Yauco, PR) has a ton of strength through his frame and utilizes it well for good power to the pull side. There is lots of leverage and torque through his lower half and hips with the ability to drive the ball with authority to the opposite field. 

William Oliver Kelley (2019 OF, Newnan, GA) displayed a swing with a ton of raw, real bat speed as well as natural loft through the baseball. The ball jumps off the barrel of the bat well and he can drive the ball with lots of raw power to all fields. 

Dylan Rogers (2019 OF, Spartanburg, SC) showed a low effort, fluid swing with explosive bat speed and loft through the zone. Rogers, a Kentucky commit, showed natural leverage to pull with the ability to create loud contact to all fields. 

Bryan Loriga (2021 3B, Hialeah, FL) is a young player with lots of bat speed and tools offensively. Loriga is looking to elevate the ball and drive it hard into the air which he can do often and with lots of fluidity and loft throughout the swing path. 

Gabriel Mendez (2019 SS, Pembroke Pines, FL) made consistent hard contact throughout the round with good extension and some polish to the finish as well. Found the barrel often with some strength through the point of contact. 

Zach Collins (2019 C, Carmel, IN) worked with an aggressive swing on a simple and repeatable line drive swing plane. Collins was able to drive the ball with authority with a good approach and a balanced swing. 

Jack Hattrup (2019 LHP, Plano, TX) took a strong round of BP with quick hands and was able to remain balanced throughout the swing. Made consistent hard contact and drove the ball with each swing.

Daniel Labrador (2019 C, Miami, FL) is a confident hitter and has an aggressive approach at the plate making consistent hard contact. Defensively, he is solid behind the plate, blocks well, moves well, has a strong arm and handles pitchers well.

Carter McGonigal (2020 OF, Sarasota, FL) has a short compact stroke at the plate with good contact skills. He found the barrel and showed pop to the pull side.

Sebastian Rodriguez (2019 2B, Coral Springs, FL) had a good day at the plate going two for three with a double, stolen base and two runs scored. He has an aggressive approach and looks to pull side. He is also an aggressive running the bases with good instincts and first step. 

Victor Manuel Torres (2019 C, Las Piedras, PR) showed good plate discipline going two for two with a double, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Victor has a confident approach with good plate discipline. He showed a fluid stroke, quick hands, with a lot of pop making consistent hard contact 

Jorge Gonzalez (2019 RHP, Orlando, FL) pitched four strong innings and struck out six hitters. His arm works well and stays online at balance point and worked down in the zone. His fastball topped out at 79 MPH with occasional sink and mixed in an 11/5 CB at 68 MPH.

Jacob Phillips (2020 LHP, Belleview, FL) had four innings of work on the mound punching out 7 of the 13 batters he faced. He knows how to attack and setup hitters with feel for all 3 pitches including good command. His fastball was up 78 MPH, curveball at 68 MPH and change-up at 71 MPH. He projects for more velocity.

14-Maroon vs. 13-Green Game Highlights

1/6/2018

Gabriel Mendez (2019 SS, Pembroke Pines, FL) showed well at the plate collecting two hits in three at-bats. He made consistent contact with a level swing and works the middle of the field.

Christian Pansini (2020 MIF, Westfield, NJ) had a solid game at the plate going two for three with a stolen base and run scored. He has a quiet approach at the plate with a line drive swing plane.

William Oliver Kelley (2019 OF, Newnan, GA) is a big physical player with good athletic ability. He is an aggressive hitter at the plate with solid pitch recognition. He was one for two in the game with a double that jumped off his bat.

Mitchell Leroy (2019 RHP, Lutz, FL) pitched four solid innings on the bump punching out 10 of the 13 hitters he faced. On the mound he showed a short arm action, displayed a good lower half and front side usage with a 3 pitch mix. His fastball sat 86-89 MPH topping out at 90 MPH mixing in a tight curveball at 73 MPH and change-up at 81 MPH.

O'Kelly McWilliams Iv (2019 RHP, Oakton, VA) had a good outing, pitching four innings and striking out 7. Has a lean build with room to fill out, quick arm, fastball was up to 84 MPH with life.  Also mixed in both a curveball at 66 MPH.
