Dylan Grotte (2018 OF, Tumwater, WA) Consistently found the barrel throughout the day showing the hand skills to work to all fields collecting 2 hits. 

Dawson Baracani (2019 IF, Sammamish, WA) Showed good bat speed with present strength at contact. Collected 2 hits including a sharp double down the left field line is his last at bat. 

Teague Conder (2019 OF, Mercer Isand, WA) Hit the baseball with authority all day while utilizing a mid field to pull side approach. Collected 3 singles in 4 at bats. 

Jared Johnson (2021 1B, Sammamish, WA) Showed a level, line drive swing plane that generated good extension through the zone. Showed a knack for the barrel collecting 2 hits. 

Matthew Schwarz (2019 SS, Greenacres, WA) Utilized a mid field approach with a balanced, athletic stance. Showed the ability to drive the baseball through the gaps producing a triple to the  right center field gap and singling twice. 

Layton Wagner (2019 3B, Boise, ID) Showed good balanced at the plate with the ability to hit off speed consistently. Singled in first at bat of a tough curveball and later hammered a double to deep right center  field. Also showed a quick arm while on the mound featuring a heavy fastball that topped at 82 miles per hour. 

Jason Neve (2018 C, Camas, WA) Employed a mid field to opposite field approach with the ability to manipulate the barrel throughout the zone. Collected 3 hits for the day 4 at bats. 

Orange vs Columbia Blue Game Highlights

Vance Alvarado (2019 RHP, Moses Lake, WA) Collected 3 hits on the day including a sharp double to left centerfield. Alvarado shows present bat speed with a naturally lifted swing plane that generates good carry to the gaps. 

Leon Johnson III (2019 OF, Bothell, WA) Showed the ability to turn the barrel to contact and generate hard, loud line drives off the barrel. Doubled to left center field in his last at bat. 

Ryan Baker (2020 1B, Bellevue, WA) Controlled the barrel well throughout the zone with the ability to consistently drive the baseball. Collected 2 hits on the day but generated hard contact each at bat. 

James Boone (2021 LHP, Sammamish, WA) Utilized an inside swing path to created good extension through contact. Doubled in his first at bat of the day taking a fastball located in on his hands down the left field line. 

Royal vs Steel Game Highlights

Dylan Rush (2020 MIF, Warrenton, OR) Utilized a simple, direct swing plane paired with a line drive approach. Created consistent, hard contact collected 2 sharp singles in 3 at bats. 

Cole Van Every (2018 RHP, West Kelowna, BC) Showed good command for both fastball and curveball offerings consistently worked to each edge of the plate. Really kept hitters off balance and created many swings and misses with breaking ball. 

Hunter Payne (2020 OF, Gig Harbor, WA) Flashed present bat speed with the ability to control the bat head throughout the zone. Created hard contact each time at the plate including a single and a double to deep right field. 

William Pawlosky (2018 RHP, Mercer Island, WA) Showed good arm quickness through extension from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball showed some running action to arm side in the low 80's. Effectively worked to the inner half of the plate jamming hitters. 

Mason Crowson (2019 C, Junction City, OR) Utilized a balanced approach with the barrel control to work to all fields. Line drive single in first at bat followed by a sharp double to left field in his last at bat. 

Maroon vs Gold Game Highlights

Connor Donohue (2019 C, Missoula, MT) Showed good strength in his  swing while utilizing a gap to gap approach. Consistently produced hard contact throughout the day including a sharp double that short hopped the right centerfield fence. 

Hart Hancock (2019 1B, West Linn, OR) Showed good barrel control throughout the zone with the ability to manipulate the bat head. Collected 2 hits in 3 at bats. 

Michael Callia (2018 RHP, Renton, WA) Smooth, repeatable mechanics on the mound a featured a fastball that say in the upper 70's to low 80's. Callia also mixed speeds well with an 11/5 breaking ball. Struck out 9 batters over 3 innings of work. 

Albert Jennings (2020 OF, Maple Valley, WA) Has a knack for finding the barrel and creating hard contact. Produced 2 sharply hit ball in his 2 at bats.

Batting Practice Highlights

9/23/2017

Brady Boyle (2019 OF, San Antonio, TX) is a big and strong left handed hitter with very good present bat speed.  He pounded pull side line drives the entire round and had the ball jumping harder than any other hitter at the event.

Leon Johnson III (2019 OF, Bothell, WA) will need to shorten his swing as the game speeds up but gets lots of leverage from his 6-3/180 build that looks even taller and he puts lots of back spin on the ball when he's timed up.

Mark Steward (2020 C, Meridian, ID) is a young right handed hitter who has quick hands and timed up almost immediately.  He swings hard and created bat speed that led to consistent hard line drive pull contact.

Julian Jackson (2019 OF, Bothell, WA) was another hitter who was timed up from the first swing, with a simple and direct shift to contact and an aggressive right handed swing that led to lots of gap running line drives, especially to right centerfield.

Crosby Albee (2021 SS, Salem, OR) is exceptionally strong for a freshman with a solid 6-0/185 build and has present bat speed and strength at contact.  His right handed swing is short with an uphill angle to it and he's going to hit plenty of future bombs with that approach.

Nicholas Elkins (2019 OF, Boise, ID) needs to get stronger but the left handed hitter had perhaps the nicest pure swing of the day, squaring up every pitch with a very well timed and smooth swing. 

Jonas Kim (2019 SS, Puyallup, WA) is a smooth and very projectable athlete with a long and loose right handed swing that has some present bat speed and plenty more as he fills out and gets stronger.

Layton Wagner (2019 3B, Boise, ID) has a strong 5-11/205 build that provides the bat speed needed to drive the ball and the short arms that good hitters often have to stay short and direct to the ball.  He wore out the gaps with hard line drives.

Justin Tucker (2018 RHP, Renton, WA) is a next level prospect on the mound but also showed his athleticism and hitting ability well in batting practice, with a short swing and a nice shift into contact.

Dawson Baracani (2019 IF, Sammamish, WA)  showed the ability to wait and explode on the ball and really get it to jump hard.  He's a big middle infielder at 6-1/190 and uses that strength well.

Will Simpson (2019 1B, Sammamish, WA) is one of the strongest players at the event and the 6-3/205 right handed hitter can put a charge in the ball with a very simple swing from a tall and calm approach.









Purple vs Royal Game Highlights

Layton Wagner (2019 3B, Boise, ID) Flashed present bat speed with the ability to generate carry to the bags. Hammered a triple to straight away center field in his last at bat. 

Will Simpson (2019 1B, Sammamish, WA) Hammered a double to right center field in his last at bat of the day showing good strength at contact. Also showed the ability to miss barrel while on the mound featuring a fastball that sat in the low 80's.

Justin Tucker (2018 RHP, Renton, WA) Struck out seven batters over four innings of work utilizing a heavy fastball that topped at 85 miles per hour. The 2018 grad allowed zero runs over his four innings of work while not allowing a single hit. 

White vs Steel Game Highlights

Daniel Furman (2019 OF, Olympia, WA) Showed a knack for finding the barrel with good balance throughout his swing. Collected two hits in four at bats including a double down the left field line to score two. 

Elijah Maris (2018 SS, Atlanta, GA) Consistently squared contact throughout the game utilizing a line drive approach. Baseball jumped off the barrel well and went on to collect two hits in four at bats. 

Jason Neve (2018 C, Camas, WA) Showed good leverage to swing and drove a sharp triple to left field that scored two runners. 

Owen Viano (2019 OF, Boise, ID) Utilized a simple, direct path to contact and consistently looked to work to the baseball to the middle of the field. Collected two hits in three at bats including a double.

Corey Jarrell (2020 1B, Brewster, WA) Flashed solid bat speed with good strength at contact. Doubled off the right field fence in second at bat, later singling in his last at bat. Also showed good life with a fastball while on the mound sitting in the low 80's, topped at 84 miles per hour. 

Colby Grace (2018 3B, Milwaukie, OR) Generated good carry off the barrel on a naturally lifted swing plane throughout extension. Doubled in first at bat of the game driving a double to deep center field.

Nicholas Elkins (2019 OF, Boise, ID) Utilized a smooth, compact path to contact while employing a high contact approach. Consistently barreled the baseball throughout the day collecting 3 hits in 3 at bats. 

Jonas Kim (2019 SS, Puyallup, WA) Showed quick hand with present bat speed through extension. Hammered a loud double off the left field wall showing solid strength at contact. 

Vance Alvarado (2019 RHP, Moses Lake, WA) Flashed a balanced stance with smooth, athletic actions at the plate. Showed the ability to manipulate the barrel an work to all fields. Collected 2 hits in 3 at bats including a triple in his last at bat. 

Crosby Albee (2021 SS, Salem, OR) Utilized a mid field approach while showing the leverage in swing the lift the ball to the gaps. Doubled in his first at bat of the game showing good strength at contact.

Breckin Sporseen (2020 RHP, Chelan, WA) Utilized a tall open stance to create leverage in swing. Primarily worked between the gaps and split the right center field gap in his first at bat of the day for a double. 

Colby Knutzen (2019 RHP, Blaine, WA) Showed a loose arm action with a fastball offering that flashed some downhill plane with sink in the low 80's. Effectively located down in the zone inducing weak, ground ball contact. 

Hart Hancock (2019 1B, West Linn, OR) Tripled in his last at bat of the game showing a naturally lifted swing plane with an inside path to contact.

Logan Borg (2019 OF, Sumner, WA) Utilized an inside with path with the knack for finding the barrel consistently. Collected three single in four at bats showing the ability to work to all fields. 

Nicholas Orr (2019 C, Federal Way, WA) Flashed quick hands through the zone that produced solid bat speed through extension. Produced a hard double down the left field line in his third at bat of the day. 

Leon Johnson III (2019 OF, Bothell, WA) Showed good balanced with present strength at contact. Collected two hits including a double in his last at bat of the day. 

Nathan Fitzgibbons (2019 RHP, Sammamish, WA) Good feel for his fastball offering that produced solid downhill tilt through the zone in the low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Changed speeds with a 11/5 breaking ball that flashed some depth. 

Reagan Matson (2020 C, Olympia, WA) Showed the ability to turn the barrel head to contact and work to pull side with authority. Created loud contact in last of bat of the day doubling down the left field line.

Durham Sundberg (2020 OF, Gresham, OR) Utilized a naturally lifted swing plane that produced good carry to the gaps when squared. Hammered a triple in his second at bat of the day to deep centerfield. 

Matthew Manous (2018 RHP, Munster, IN) Flashed very good feel for his curveball offering consistently delivering for strikes in positive and negative counts. Struck out seven batters over his four innings of work.
