Dawson Baracani is a 2019 IF/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Skyline HS. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits with a barrel wrap start and a hanging front foot load, gets his foot down in time well, generates whip in his swing with good bat speed, explodes his hands in good sequence to his lower half, hard pull contact, multiple extra base hits into the left field corner, drives the ball with authority. Good hands and balance at third base, has a smooth exchange with a compact 3/4's arm slot, makes accurate throws, charges the ball well, can improve overall foot quickness. Also pitched, back turn delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, stays balanced and on line well and creates angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, showed good snap and tightness to his cruveball. Bat has a chance to play. Good student.
