Daniel Furman is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Olympia, WA who attends Timberline HS. Compact athletic build, has some present strength. 7.26 runner, speed plays up on the field, high energy player who plays all out. Very good defensive centerfielder, gets excellent jumps and can run down balls in the alley, very accurate arm with good strength and carry. Right handed hitter, hits from an exaggerated open stance, swings hard and creates bat speed, aggressive hitter, might benefit from better initial direction in his approach. Also pitched, high energy delivery with a long and loose arm action. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, maintained velocity well, occasional arm side running action but mainly spotted up on the outside corner. Tended to slow arm on curveball but got some depth and sharpness the more he threw. Attitude alone will play at the next level and there are tools as well. Good student.
