Gold vs. Royal Highlights

Jonathan Watson (2019 OF, Williamsburg, KY): Watson went 3-3 with a double for the Gold team, showing a nice whole-field approach and using his speed to steal a base as well.
Evan Smith (2018 3B, Annville, KY): Smith had one of the louder swings of the day, tripling and showing good power with backspin and carry.
Ryan Galanie (2019 SS, Mason, OH): Galanie has shown the ability to barrel the ball all weekend and was rewarded for it with a well-struck double late in this game.
Travis Sankovich (2018 SS, Uniontown, PA): Sankovich has impressed with his bat-to-ball skills all weekend and continued to do so by doubling in this game.
Tyler Guilfoil (2018 RHP, Lexington, KY): Guilfoil was dominant on the mound, punching out 5 of the 6 hitters he faced. He workd 83-86 mph and showed a sharp CB and very good CH.
Steel vs. Green Highlights

Jaxon Cady (2018 LHP, Austin, TX): Cady is a physical presence with good tools; really able to run and put bat to ball. He picked up two hits in the game today; and also worked up to 80 mph on the mound with a good changeup.
Brian Zix (2018 SS, Cincinnati, OH): Zix has had a really nice event; in all three phases. He picked up another hit today, showing a quick LD stroke, and also played a really nice defensive 2nd base.
Nicholas Parrish (2018 LHP, Louisville, KY): Parrish has a very deceptive delivery; and he struck out 7 in his 3 innings. He worked up to 83 mph and worked in three other pitches for strikes.
Micah Duncan (2020 RHP, Lexington, KY): Duncan worked up to 80 mph on the mound from a loose arm and also stood out with the bat, picking up two hits including a double.
Ryan Mendez (2020 RHP, Omaha, NE): Mendez threw 3 shutout innings, striking out two and allowing only 1 hit. He worked up to 81 mph with very heavy sink and missed bats with his slider as well.
Cardinal vs. Orange Highlights

Nick Stepke (2019 SS, Rochester Hills, MI): Stepke continued to show a quick bat by doubling down the line in his first at bat. He's got very quick hands into his swing.
Carlos Tumpkin (2018 RHP, Grosse Pointe Park, MI): Tumpkin was good both ways in this game. He hit a loud triple on a line over the CF's head; and also worked up to 87 mph on the mound from a fast arm with good life to the pitch.
Ross Mulhall (2018 1B, Morgantown, WV): After homering yesterday, Mulhall continued to show his power today by doubling to the opposite field way over the right fielder's head.
Joshua Yellen (2018 SS, Bloomfield Hills, MI): Yellen picked up two more hits in this game, working to all fields, including a sharp double down the left field line.
Ben Willcoxon (2020 SS, Sevierville, TN): Willcoxon continued to show good bat-to-ball ability; picking up another couple of hits in the game today.
Noah Valin (2018 OF, Dekalb, IL): Valin showed good ability to control the barrel and work to all fields, picking up two hits today.
T.A. Crumbaugh (2018 RHP, Frankfort, KY): Worked 80-84 mph with his fastball, generating heavy sinking action and got several ground balls. He also mixed in a sharp slider that missed bats.

Stuart Weyrich (2018 OF, London, OH): Weyrich showed good ability to control the bat and put barrel on pitches all over the zone, picking up a pair of hits in this game.
Kruise Newman (2021 RHP, Richmond, KY): Newman was outstanding on the mound, showing a loose, whippy, extremely fast arm with a fastball up to 87 mph. He also picked up two hits and showed good athleticism running the bases.
Kevin Vanvalkenburg (2018 2B, Georgetown, KY): Vanvalkenburg came on to pitch in relief and was very good, with a long loose arm action and a fastball up to 84 mph. He also showed an outstanding changeup.
Luke Oehrle (2018 1B, Cold Spring, KY): Oehrle had the only extra base hit of the game, driving a double deep to the pull field with good backspin and carry.
Hunter Rigsby (2018 RHP, Mount Vernon, KY): Rigsby is extremely physical and looked good on the mound, working up to 87 mph with steep plane and sharp curveball that he threw for strikes.
Brian Zix (2018 SS, Cincinnati, OH): Zix was fantastic on the mound to close it out, working 77-80 mph with excellent sink and a sharp curveball. He pounded the zone.
Green vs. Orange Highlights

Braden Theis (2018 C, Waterville, OH): Theis showed a smooth stroke with plenty of bat speed, impacting the ball squarely, picking up two hits including a double.
Dino Tharp (2018 SS, McCordsville, IN): Tharp announced his presence loudly; driving a long home run to left field showing lots of bat speed and strength.
Byron Smith (2019 3B, Lexington, KY): Smith has shown extremely well all weekend, and continued to show out in this game, doubling and coming around to score.
Kaelon Harkema (2019 SS, Louisville, KY): Picked up a pair of hits as well a stolen base; showing a quick LD stroke and good speed.
Tyler Morrison (2018 LHP, Lagrange, KY): Morrison looked good both on the mound and with the bat. He doubled offensively and also threw 3 innings on the mound, working up to 82 mph from the left side with a good breaking ball.
River Shea (2019 RHP, Lake Orion, MI): Shea was dominant on the mound, working 3 shutout frames with 5 strikeouts. He was up to 81 mph and worked in a good slider and changeup.
Conner Ryle (2018 1B, Union, KY): Ryle threw 2 perfect innings for the Orange team, striking out three along the way. He worked up to 81 mph from the left side and showing a good curveball as well.
Batting Practice Highlights

Nick Stepke (2019 SS, Rochester Hills, MI): Stepke showed a nice middle-field approach with a line drive swing plane, highlighted by loose wrists and quick hands.
Ethan Jones (2019 C, Somerset, KY): Jones showed serious strength in BP; with the ability to drive the ball deep into the pull gap with good backspin and carry.
Ross Mulhall (2018 1B, Morgantown, WV): Mulhall has some of the best raw power in this event, and when he's on time he's capable of really driving the ball with easy HR pop.
Dawson Smothers (2020 1B, Benton, KY): Smothers showed good strength and good bat speed, driving the ball well when on time and using a whole-field approach.
Evan Smith (2018 3B, Annville, KY): Showed quick hands that control the barrel well, generating quality linear bat speed with a whole field approach.
Trent Robinson (2019 SS, Louisville, KY): Showed good raw bat to ball skills with the ability to manipulate the barrel; is going to have good pop as he continues to add strength to his frame.
Byron Smith (2019 3B, Lexington, KY): Smith took one of the better overall rounds of the day; with hands that work very well into his quick stroke, driving the ball on a line to all fields.
Tyler Morrison (2018 LHP, Lagrange, KY): Morrison consistently drove the ball into the air with authority and good strength; showing some of the better raw power of the event.
Conner Ryle (2018 1B, Union, KY): Ryle made consistently squared, hard contact on a line before letting it rip later in the round, driving the ball deep to the pull field.
Sean Lawhorn (2020 3B, Harrison, OH): Lawhorn showed a simple, repeatable swing that gets the barrel out on time, spraying firm line drives to all fields.
Joey Lawhorn (2018 1B, Harrison, OH): The elder Lawhorn also took a very good round; working back through the middle of the field consistently with well-struck liners.
Jacob Dupps (2019 3B, Louisville, KY): Dupps showed a very fast bat with live hands through the zone, driving balls into both gaps at times.
Jason Oviedo (2020 3B, Lexington, KY): Oviedo has good controlled violence to his swing, with intent to do damage. He showed the ability to make loud contact to all fields.
Jonathan Hogart (2020 C, Madisonville, KY): Hogart worked back through the middle consistently with a smooth barrel and good bat speed; driving a few towards the end of the round.
Brandon Ethington (2019 1B, Shelbyville, KY): Ethington showed good ability to create separation and generate power in his swing; driving several rising liners to the pull field and up the middle.
Travis Sankovich (2018 SS, Uniontown, PA): Sankovich showed good raw hitting tools, consistently putting barrel on ball and using the entire field.
Zachary Labhart (2020 OF, Mount Eden, KY): Labhart showed good bat speed and strength off the barrel when on time; driving a few pretty well up the pull gap.
Louie Kessinger (2019 SS, Lexington, KY): Kessinger showed very fast hands and got the barrel out on time consistently, working to all fields on a line.
Cardinal vs. Gold Highlights

Dawson Smothers (2020 1B, Benton, KY): Smothers had a good day, showing good bat-to-ball skills and finding a few barrels. He had two hits and scored a run.
Trent Robinson (2019 SS, Louisville, KY): Robinson had two hits on the day, including a double, showing good ability to stay on the ball and use the entire field with good jump off the barrel.
Ryan Galanie (2019 SS, Mason, OH): Showed good tempo and rhythm to his swing, consistently getting the barrel out on time and making quality contact on a pair of hits.
CJ Boling (2019 C, Lexington, KY): Boling had some of the louder contact of the day, going off the wall in dead left field for what amounted to a long single. He has serious strength in his swing.
Joshua Yellen (2018 SS, Bloomfield Hills, MI): Yellen came just short of the cycle, collecting 2 singles, a double, and a triple during the game to go 4-4. He has very good bat-to-ball skills with good loft through his swing and solid bat speed.
Ben Willcoxon (2020 SS, Sevierville, TN): Willcoxon showed good all-around talent, collecting a pair of hits and scoring two runs in the game, showing big intent in his swing.
Mack Timbrook (2019 MIF, Kent, OH): Timbrook was perfect at the plate in this game, going 3-3 with 3 singles, doing a good job of consistently getting the barrel on the ball.
Anthony Davis (2020 SS, Germantown, TN): Davis has a quick, compact line drive stroke that he uses to great effect; picking up a pair of knocks in this game.
Ethan Jones (2019 C, Somerset, KY): Jones went 3-3 in the game, with two singles and a double along with a run scored. He has very good bat speed with an advanced two strike approach.
Ross Mulhall (2018 1B, Morgantown, WV): Mulhall had the loudest swing of the day, putting a charge into one and hitting it out on a line to LF. He's very physical with obvious power.
Matthew Treadway (2019 RHP, Cincinnati, OH): Treadway showed some serious stuff on the mound, working 80-84 mph with heavy sink as well as a sharp breaking ball that he could change the shape of.
